Delete the stock LG RU-vid app first. There is a new version of the Dev mode and RU-vid AdFree. Just update using the WebOS App!

Worked like a charm, thanks a lot! If you experience an issue when the webOS manager can't install the apps (you hit Install and nothing happens or the TImeout error appears after some time), make sure that you have connected the TV to the manager - I had exactly this issue, which disappeared once I realized the TV hadn't yet been connected to the computer.

I followed the steps. I managed to install the device manager, and Homebrew app, and it's connecting properly with my tv because I can launch the Homebrew app from my PC with the device manager app. But I couldn't install RU-vid Adfree, or any of the other application including Homebrew Channel Updater. It says An error occured during installation: Unable to exec luna-send-pub: Error: Failed to call getIDs. My tv is LG UF680T from 2015. Software version: 04.26.35. Any ideas to solve this?

After login on TV developerApp and enable it, it says: "update to webOS cli 1.12.4 or higher" otherwise i cant install apps with the device manager. Anyone with the same issue? I`ve got the newest software update on the TV. (LG C8)

Lol it worked it first try! I am so sick of YT adds, they are so agressive now, constantly, CONSTANTLY ads.... you used to skip after 5 secs, now you have to wait 1 minute!!!! before skipping!!!! Hell nah, Now I am 100% ad free thanks

Problem: Can't install the Homebrew Channel nor the RU-vid Ad Free "App" when im in the Tool. TV is connected. Everything done as mentioned. I click "install" and nothing happens. Any1 else encountered this?

running WebOS 4.9.0 and the youtube one wont install via available it installs then goes back to "install". When I download it from Github and install it manually it gets stuck at "please wait" what am I doing wrong?

The problem with this tutorial is that your voice is not synced with the video. You show one step in the video while talking about a completely different step.

Servus nochmal! Wie ich es schon früher beschrieb, nach dem Zusammenbruch klappt das ganze wieder bei mir, nun mit einem anderen version von Dev. Manager. Seit ein Paar Tagen schlägt der Fernseher beim jeden Neustart wieder einen SW Update auf 03.33.90. Beim letzten Update(und bisher auch das einzige, weil das Gerät erst im August gekauft wurde) funktionierte das ganze nicht mehr, musste alles wieder neu machen, wie schon berichtet habe. Meine Frage wäre jetzt:soll/darf ich den Lg WebOs Update installieren, es sollte nix passieren, oder verliert man die ganze Einstellung? Die Meldung kommt bei jeden Start, mann kann "ja" und "nein" wählen, fand kein Möglichkeit um dieses Vorschlag zu "verstecken". Natürlich drücke ich lieber zig mal auf "nein", statt den ganzen Prozess wieder von vorne machen zu müssen. Danke, Andi

Quick question, I got all the info right. installed the program, and linked it to my TV. But when I press download, it loads a little loading bar, the bar dissapears and nothing happens. Anything that im doing wrong here? Would like to add that I have deleted the normal RU-vid app and reconnected my PC to the WebOS dev app on my computer

Apps disappeared. When I click Install on the RU-vid AdFree under the Available tab, it just refreshes after the "Please wait" loader and does not install. Am I doing something wrong?

Sollte ES nicht funktionieren (wie bei mir am Anfang) RU-vid APP (Original aus dem Store) DEINSTALLIEREN und dann RU-vid ADDFree NeuInstallieren und dann über die RU-vid ADDFree App RU-vid Starten!!! Bin fanst wahnsinig geworden da die Grüne Taste (Optionen) Nicht ging. Vielen DANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I followed all the steps in the video. It seems that the app on my PC won't connect to the TV. It shows no installed apps en when I click on install on my PC there is a loading screen. After a few seconds it disappears and nothing happens. The apps are not installed on the TV. Can someone help me out?

Any idea why the ad-free RU-vid app and Homebrew store app keep disappearing from the tv? As if they are being uninstalled entirely. Twice now it randomly disappeared and I had to re-do everything from scratch.

@jerryx2000 When I install Webos on mac he doesn't see my TV so I used previous windows version and installed the app but this laptop isn't my, will I need it to maintain the app or something in the future?

I’ve followed all instructions but for some reason when I try to add the tv to the webos dev manager app it tells me to turn on the key server on the tv even though I do turn it on. Any help?
