YouTube Mom Ruby Franke Pleads Guilty to Felony Child Abuse Charges

RU-vid mom Ruby Franke appeared in court Monday and pleaded guilty to four felony child abuse charges. Franke was arrested in August 2023 after two of her children were found bound in duct tape and had wounds covering their bodies. She - along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt - was originally charged with six child abuse charges when Franke's son escaped from Hildebrandt's Utah home. Full details of Franke's plea agreement have not yet been released.

Exactly. As is, she is ONLY charged with what had happened to that boy who had escaped. But in a trial, all the heinous things she had done during „8 Passengers“ would get brought up - and it would SICKEN any jury (AND the public). And IF that would happen, Franke could also no longer claim that „Jodi Hildebrandt made me do it 🤷🏼‍♀️🤥😇“ - because THOSE things had all been taking place BEFORE Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt even first met!

She looks like a woman who knows she can’t win her case… hence the plea agreement… she will get maybe 15 total years (actually more) but they will probably run concurrently… so 15 years times for concurrently is still only 15 years… 10 days good time each month… she will do ten to twelve years… unless she gets assigned a prison job that warrants more good time… all states differ

A waiver and plea really isn't the time when you'd expect a defendant to show extended remorse. This is a simple procedural step, not a time when the defendant addresses the court beyond answering the pro forma questions necessary to accept the plea. A factual basis wasn't even needed since it was contained as a stipulation in the plea agreement.

She will get consecutive years for each case. Sentencing is in February, I believe he said. She will not go free, she will definitely serve time in prison. How much time is yet to be determined!! However, she won’t serve all the time she’ll get; they never do if they have good behavior.

@@lilybee_ acceptance/acknowledgement of guilt is taken into consideration at sentencing. It's entirely possible that she gets the maximum amount despite pleading guilty because the judge in this case is not bound by the agreement

Out of all of the horrors she created, there is one that stands out. That is when, after spending days without any parents around, one of her youngest daughters was roaming the neighborhood alone and hungry. She stopped at a house and asked the neighbors if their children could play. She hadn't known them previously. The mother who answered the door was a little stunned and said her kids were at school. She wondered why this child wasn't at school, also. When the lady told the child her kids wouldn't be home for several hours, the little girl said "I'll wait." For some reason that is excruciatingly sad to hear. A little girl, so alone, she was willing to wait by herself for hours. She knew other kids were at school with friends. No doubt her siblings sere in the house too scared to come out or tied up somewhere. What Ruby Franke has done to the kids emotionally and mentally will far outlast the physical wounds. A wicked, wicked woman.
