I have this kit and many others in my vehicles. They absolutely work and you can plug a tire with 1 hand and don’t even need bubba pushing you from behind to force a traditional plug and reamer in. Like I said I have many options when I get a flat. A teenage girl can fix a tire with this kit. Plugs will out last the tire if applied correctly. In 40 years and hundreds of plugs later I have never seen 1 failure because they work. This kit works especially well in small punctures that a traditional reamer won’t penetrate or bubba is unavailable, It has its place. And yes you need a portable air compressor in your kit.

I love the northshore plugs. But I twist the split needle as I am pulling it out to make a knot on the inside of the tire.

These look different than the last time I used one. I used it for my mini quad I had when I was a teenager. It was a black sticky like rope instead of flat rubber. Don't know if that's just another brand or what. They worked super good though. Lasted years until I sold the quad. I'm sure it's still holding air somewhere lol.

Finally after thousands of hours I have learned something.

The original style plugs worked just as well or better. Already sticky and I've never see one fail.

Plugs are only good for temporary use. You should always patch a hole. 👍💪

40+ working in automotive field. 25+ in tires specifically. I can tell you that you should never plug a tire this way unless it's your only option to get home. Pushing a plug thru this way can create a separation in the layers of the tire. The the air trapped within the separation by the plug can grow and the separation gets bigger till the tire tears apart. Ever see a big truck tire shredded on side of road? Usually that tire started coming apart from a separation that was missed at recapping or from a recent repair.

You're going to need a lot more than a plug to fix that tire.

It’s for fast repair and we will replace a new one, i did it before. Instead of do like that, we have many way to do for last longer.

I prefer Hot Patch inside tire after you scrap & sand inner Rubber with hot glue and rubber patch pressed and rolled in place

This is not a permanent fix and will fail, this kind of fix is meant to get you to a tire shop to get it fixed properly by trained people

I work at tire discount... Please never do this to your tires unless you have no other options... Tire with this done must be replaced, many ships will not correctly repair a tire after you repair one like this. A new ride is cheaper than a tow truck, so I get that, but if you have a spare, or can make it to a shop, do.

im a tire tech, just use a plug, buy some tire repair cement with if you want just an upgraded plug, or get a patch, this is dumb and i dont know what that blue shit is
