We’ve heard feedback that RU-vid Kids is great for younger children, but that parents want more options for their older kids - this new experience will cater to parents who think their older kids are ready to use RU-vid through a supervised account.
Does this impact COPPA treatment on made for kids content?
We’ll still require creators to set their content as made for kids or not. We limit data collection (by disabling/restricting certain features) on made for kids content to comply with the law regardless of the viewer's account type or age. More context here: support.google...
