Holo Taco is a pun of Holographic Top Coat, a type of clear nail polish that has reflective particles that show the rainbow (i.e. holographic). The company name evolved as a joke on Cristine/simplynailogical's channel, as her Canadian accent made "Holo Top Coat" sound like "Holo Taco." The new running joke is that she isn't really a nail art channel anymore, as a lot of her recent videos are just comedic. Cristine and her boyfriend Ben have a podcast, simplypodlogical, which is really good if you want to hear serious takes from her. She stands out in the RU-vid community because despite her massive following (over 7 million subscribers) she has retained her day job working as a data/statistics analyst for the Canadian government and has remained otherwise independent. I recommend her channel and definitely her podcast; Cristine is funny and very smart. Plus the nail polish is awesome. Top tier. Quality>everything else. 11/10
