She’s not apologizing because she thought her actions were disgusting. She’s just apologizing because she slipped on the editing. Kid’s therapist needs to see the original video.
you can tell how little she cares about how she used her kid. she wasn’t sorry about a damn thing and was embarrassed about getting caught. i really don’t like kids but even i know that’s not how you should ever treat one
Hah, that's funny. You really think she would let her kid have a therapist? Her kid could and probably would tell the therapist all the awful things she does to him, and then she would get in genuine trouble. And besides, why would she even care about him needing a therapist? After all, to her the kid is pretty much just a doll to pose and use for views.
She truly fucks it even more here trying to apologize after having uploaded the edited version. Her first instinct wasn’t even to apologize, sincerely or not, it was to try and cover it up. Like the only wrong thing she did was let people find out about it. Then she claims it was a heat of the moment mistake even going through that effort of reuploading. I’m honestly almost impressed she somehow managed to make what she did even shittier. Congrats.
Not gonna lie, I half expected her to spin it like "oh I purposely uploaded this in order to show other vloggers and people how bad it is to exploit your kids like this, yeah, that's what it was!" in a desperate attempt to save face and cover her tracks. Happy to see she at least owned up to her actions and hopefully doesn't do it anymore.
In the original video she set the camera in the car, then called the kid inside who was sobbing and went to lay his head on her chest, there she pushed him back, made him repeat some fucked up words until he literally broke into tears. That's where the clip from Moist begins. At the same time you can see how she moves the camera to keep her son off frame while she talks on the video and 'gently' caresses his head as he tries to lay against her, while she pushes him back to keep him off frame.
Even worse when you realize she carefully crafted the framing of the "apology" video so it would include her happy wedding photo. Out of all places she could have filmed the video, it had to be the one angle and frame that somehow nicely included this photo. Everything about that video is so fake it's revolting.
Him saying "Mom I'm actually crying" is a highly distressed child screaming out for his Mother to hug and comfort him. Easily the most disturbing thing I've seen on this channel. Imagine what goes on behind closed doors.
Not to make you more disturbed but if you've never seen that Dadd05 channel that Charlie was talking about in the beginning, then you are in for some real horror. Its probably one of the most disturbing RU-vid videos I've seen and it sticks with me to this day. I would watch other people's reactions or commentary on the channel tho as not to give the dad any more clout. Luckily I think the kids have been taken away and are in a better place now but it was really sickening to watch.
Arguably, that *was* closed doors, she didn't cut out that part of the video because she knew that part was done. Evert more scummy, she's straight up dangerously incompetent
He won't automatically go to her for comfort but stays on his seat. Tells a lot. I have an alcoholic mother so I get it. Other people and keeping up appearances is more important to her. Even his grief needs to be a public spectacle in his mother's monetary benefit. She is going to be a lonely woman wondering why he won't visit him often...
I'm actually disgusted. I have seen some horrible stuff but this is just so evil. I feel horrible for this kid. Hopefully he gets a loving parent soon.
She's basically making him feel like he has to battle strangers on the internet to get her attention which is honestly repulsive. Fame and money is more important to you than your own children? You actually expect us to believe this was a one time thing? Get your priorities in check before having kids.
*Drowns the entirety of Pompeii with his tears* Mom I'm actually crying Mom: That's a good mindset, keep that for a bit for the yt people and I'll let you go outside tomorrow
I overcame my bad temper 16 years ago when I was in my teens, but one thing that gets me angry despite that is when people do anything harmful to a child. Physically, mentally, etc, doesn't matter.
Same. I used to have a horrible anger problem (not to the point at which I was angry and verbally abusive to people but I would pummel a punching bag and I needed a few replacements over that time.) but I would get extremely verbally abusive and would insult people endlessly if they were assholes to children around me. Even if it was verbal and not physical I would still be 2x as much of a dick back because I hate seeing a kid sad.
Her son repeating “I’m actually crying though,” several times, to me, seems like desperation for his mother to pay attention to him and not the camera… I wonder how deprived of parental love this child feels
@@augustalexander2647 you’re right he can’t say no to it which makes it uncomfortable. At least if the kid was older he could be like wtf mom and walk away
It's so depressing and sad. He's trying to get some comfort from her and for her to act like an actual mum and she's just interested in how to monetise it and use it.
@@doubtful_seer ahhh the ol "I'll give you something to cry about" line, what a classic. Takes me right back to my childhood haha Yeah a lot of parents really are awful. Maybe not quite to the level this lady is at, but this type of stuff is a lot more common than a lot of people would think.
Thing is, I gaurentee she's done this multiple times but was never caught. This is the only time she slipped up and we saw what she did. Wouldn't it be convenient if the only unedited video that was released had this behavior?. I can almost certainly say she's done this multiple times, as if you use your child Infront of a camera you'd remember to edit it out cause it'll be a problem if anyone saw. Meaning she definitely does this alot and that's why it was released unedited. As any person who's done this for the first time would remember what they've done and edit it out.

As someone who’s lost puppies from parvo, this is disgusting. When I was grieving, my dad took me for bike rides and ice cream. He didn’t whip out a camera to capture my grief. Parents should hate seeing their kids upset like that. Edit: holy shit didnt expect this to get attention at all. Thank you for everyone’s kind words.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Parvo is a bitch. I lost 5 cats about 3 months ago and until this day I still cry when I look at their photos. I hope your puppies are happily running in animal heaven, living paw prints on your hearts ♥️
As a father I'm upset seeing this. The poor boy needs help with his emotions. Man if I can't get my kids to be calm and im live on twitch I give chat music to listen to until I can help my kids get happy or I shut off stream if parenting requires it. I understand it's hard to make content while being a parent but this is different. I hope she improves herself and becomes a better parent.
I don't think someone that blatantly devoid of empathy can really do that if they view people as less important than, not just their views, but a simple thumbnail
She could honestly be diagnosed with narcissism, she wasn't caring about the fact she devalued her child, she was caring about what people thought of her, disgusting
@@Jordan64852 people who are narcissists, anti-social, psychopaths ect ARE ABLE TO LOVE. it can be more difficult, but the stereotype that these people are monsters is terrible.
that's an understatement. I can't imagine how you could possibly not be emotionally or psychologically affected by this invasive, uncaring parenting and being seen as content for a channel. even if bad/selfish/abusive parents have always existed and therapy has come a long way, these means are new so it's hard to know how to treat the fallout effectively or go about laws. it's appalling that RU-vid, by no surprise, refuses to do anything about these exploitative "family vloggers" because money. the resentment, emotional disturbance and privacy issues these kids are likely going to have later in life...
Disgusting. Even if she immediately consoled him after, she has set a very clear priority: thumbnail/views matter most. Your feelings, your trauma, my *responsibility as a parent* comes second. I'm not a parent, but I've been a camp counselor and a babysitter, and I can not imagine seeing ANY kid -- let alone a child you raised -- in such a state over something serious and acting so completely cold. He is her prop, and nothing more. Also, as someone who's worked in a shelter, parvo is ROUGH. If a pup gets it severely, it's a terrifying thing to witness as they waste away. I can't imagine how scary that would be as a kid especially! Even if they recover, it can have long-term effects on their health. We had one pup get it and his growth was stunted from it -- Half the size of his siblings -- and he was constantly getting sick because his immune system never fully recovered.
Having worked as a camp counselor myself before, even if I don't particularly like children, you have a duty and a responsibility to look after their well-being so that maybe they don't become horrible people like that kid's mother
@@aishahshamsul8642 she shouldn't, she's clearly a narcissistic person and could even be a Psychopath, she's just saying a fake apology for some forgiveness inorder to keep the momentum going in her channel.
An apology serves two purposes. The first - and usually the driving force behind it - is to ease their own conscience. The second is to provide an opportunity for the wronged party to obtain closure. This apology fulfilled the former but not the latter.
@@aishahshamsul8642 Saying sorry is bullshit. If you really feel apologetic, you suffer from remorse, change your ways and become a better person. A verbal sorry is just a self-validation. "Oh I said sorry, that means I'm good right? Right?"
The way she quite literally directs her crying child. The reality that this kid is eventually going to grow up, and know that this is what happened. The fact of how she’s completely fine, exploiting the scenario for monetary gain, almost as though she’d be excited if her kid broke his leg because it’d make for views on views. It. Is. Disgusting.
If I'm not mistaken, one excuse of a mother got excited that her daughter got cancer and went on to set up a bunch of fundraisers for her daughter, but kept all of the cash.
The amount of times he tries to tell his mom he’s actually crying, while literally physically crying……. And she dismisses it. Ugh……. Such a good point. And so hard to listen too, let alone watch:(
Bro she really nuzzled her face against him like a person would do to comfort a crying/hurt child, then immediately releases like “okay that looked good. that’s what comfort looks like, now let go you little brat mommy’s gotta go edit your misery. Great job”
That poor kid. Got a shit parent that just sees him as a clout opportunity instead of one that actually sees him as a fucking person. Doubt she talked to the kid on why she was wrong and doubt she apologized sincerely to him.
Little children have not yet developed the emotional intelligence to say "I need love and support" so all he knew to say was "no Mom I'm actually crying." Meanwhile she was ignoring that. This was legitimately disturbing. At least charlie made some funny jokes about it.
did you see the way he was looking at her after saying that and being ignored? feel so bad for him. he needed a real hug and support and she just totally ignored that.
That kid, despite the harm it can cause, needs to be torn out of that family and either put with the dad ( If he isn’t with the mom and is a good parent ) or just some other family. It would do more good than bad.
If he said "I need love and support" (which BTW I feel like most adults would have problem articulating so it's not a "little children thing"), she would probably brush it off as "Stop making everything about you". This woman's delusional.
You need a license for birth. You need a license that says you aren’t selfish, that you know basic science, that you would actually care for your kids.
“but mom, im actually crying..” “no i know, but go like this!” look, i have empathy problems, but that’s just fucked. i feel so bad for that little boy :(
The word "cringe" much like "triggered" and "drama" have been adopted, used way too much and incorrectly to boot and now mean nothing. So when I say that video made me cringe I mean it in the original sense of the word where I physically shuddered and cringed then had to skip to where Charlie was talking.
If she haven’t accidentally posted that, we would’ve never known. She wouldn’t apologize because of it, because she wouldn’t have been caught. Most likely made more videos like that with thumbnails like that without getting caught for a while.
That mom ought to be ashamed of herself. That's freaking terrible. Selfish parent. Using her kid like he's not even human. Like an object. Mom: "what can I do to make ur pain go away? Please stop crying child." Her: CRY FOR MONEY PRETEND UR SAD That kid was already sad with his own mom pressuring him. That's awful and that shouldn't ever even be a thing. What this actually is. the more she talks about what she did, the more it's nakedly clear that she doesn't actually understand exactly why what she did was wrong. She can emulate the talking points, calling it disgusting, but never actually talking about how she thinks her son might be feeling because of it and if she talked it through with him after. She's interested in appeasing the public, not her child. Bet anything she's the type who thinks she can do anything she wants to her child because "I gave birth to you! I fed you and clothed you! You should be grateful!"
After being emotionally abused like that, and given the old “I birthed you, fed you, clothed you, and made sure you were clean” I finally realized that, yeah, she might have, but that’s her fucking job to do.
There was a RU-vidr in June ( can’t remember the name) that made a whole ass series of why they put their dog down and like exploited their shitty dog ownership.
Imagine being this kid when he’s older and having to look back on this, knowing that your own mother once did this to you. Regardless of if she felt sorry later on, it’s still a memory you’d have to live with. Terrible.

This family content trend is going to cause a lot of generational trauma. Thousands of kids, for the first time in history, are having their lives shown to millions of strangers. In the next few years we're going to start seeing the long term effects this has and I dread it.
Thankfully, the number of kids that have crappy lives because of vlogging is pretty low. What we should be worried about is the number of screwed up kids being churned out by the pandemic. Domestic violence is rising like crazy rn. Probably a better thing to be concerned about, tbh.

That'd be me; I was diagnosed w/secondary infertility 2 yrs after giving birth to my daughter. I tried for over 13 years to have another child, but no dice. 🤷🏼♀️ So, I did the next best thing & became a foster parent.
