I think one of the gifts that is Yoyoka is her ability to reinvent herself anew. A year ago her present ability wasn't in existence, and now it seems a mature method. Rolling a static drum stick on a snare drum while executing rimshots with the other has never been done before, and yet eminates from this young woman so fluidly.

I know, it's like Moore's Law of single chip evolution (computers). Moore's law is the observation that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit doubles about every two years. Yoyoka's amazing talent is like this... she evolves at a pace beyond any drummer I've seen in my 45-years as a musician. In the past, year, she's branched out into more complex Jazz-fusion and done so with authority. I swear by the time she's 18, she'll pace the late great Buddy Rich in this genre alone. I've been watching her since she was 6 and she never ceases to amaze me. A phenom? Most assuredly YES! *I still want to see her take on 'The Real Me' by the Who (Kieth Moon)... it's complex, busy and a bit sloppy... harder than it seems to nail down. But... yea, give this phenom a few days to practice it and I'm sure she'll blow our minds!

Holy crap! Yoyoka, I hope you have a fire extinguisher on hand because those sticks are blazing! Yoyoka’s hands and those sticks become a blur at times and she smacks those skins and cymbals with so much professional ease! I’m amazed at how far she has come along with her skills. Any band looking for a seasoned veteran should be pounding on her front door day and night! An amazing heaven sent artist! Thank you Yoyoka!
