As noted by Lazurus451 in the comments below, the Switch version of Ys IX has received a new stability update (Version 1.03). Having spent some time with it now it seems like an improvement in most areas but, Balduq and the more populated sections are still struggling. Hopefully this will be the first of many updates that will continue to smooth things out. As more drop I will edit this comment accordingly. Thanks. First Outpost.
Hey just want you to know that regardless of your viewcounts or subscribers you would still have a lot of people supporting you. Been here since you first released your Inquisitor review, I really like your style of reviewing. Please never stop what you're doing!
Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video! :D As of writing this, Patch 1.0.3 remains the latest update and there has been no word of any others yet (although that doesn't meant there wont be more). While I haven't got around to checking it out myself yet, apparently 1.0.3 does improve performance exponentially from how it was at launch at least? :/ Hopefully they will keep improving the experience in the coming months :)
So just downloaded it and had a quick look. Seems pretty much the same as when I made this video to me. Maybe a little better, but still not great, even in the games opening more linear areas. Totally playable though and still fun. Cant speak to later in the game I'm afraid as I no longer have my save file :( My advice would be to play it on P.C if you want the smoothest experience but it all depends on how much performance bothers you. Hope this helps a little :)
@@FirstOutpost thanks for the heads up I do have a pc but I wanted to play this game on the go I will take the shot as its 50 percent off so it wont hurt much
I'm buying Switch version! I love Ys since the first one :) P.S. Graphics, resolution, 9999fps doesn't matter if the game sucks ass xD And... I'm liking and subscribing! : D With notifications on! (All)
Thank you for the sub! Completely agree and hope you enjoy it on Switch. I think it needs a few patches but the core of the game is still intact and enjoyable :)
