EDP , smells incredible, I wear Creed Aventus ,Portugal, Silver Mountain Water and I get more compliments with this than those much more expensive fragrances

Absolutely spot on comparison/guide. Can’t talk about Y Live but about all the rest, I agree with your opinion. Only thing I’d add is that the reformulated Y edt doesn’t only smell more refined but also performs better. I personally prefer Y Eau Fresh to Dior Homme Cologne also.

Some people's natural pharamoanes and skin don't mesh with some fragrances etc Stay hydrated Use lotion like jojoba oil coconut oil etc But edts generally aren't meant to last long. Rule of thumb is 2 to 3 hours. Not everybody will get a long performance like few do apparently with this

There’s a reason the edp is so popular one of the best blue fragrances IMO and one of the best performing knew it was a winner upon my first time smelling it and will always have a bottle in the collection very versatile easy to wear and crowd pleasing never get tired of it
I have all from this line. Personally, I like Y Fraiche scent the most, followed by Y Live and then Y Le Parfum. Y EDP is fine, but to me, the first two I mentioned have a smoother scent and easier to use.
EDP 2 sprays. My wife thought it was a bit strong in the car, but I had just sprayed it before. Not saying it was bad, just strong. So some people beware. All these are great. The only one I don’t have is the EDT because it had some “negative” reviews. But might get the reformulation now. Thanks again Ash 👍🏻👍🏻
If you guys spray more than 2 sprays on y EDP then you are unknowingly gassing out everyone within a 10 foot radius of you. That’s ridiculous, this stuff is STRONG.
I had a Y EDP sample and liked it, but ordered the Y EDT because it was on special and was disappointed when it arrived and I tried it (I like the EDP better but didn't know it because hadn't tried the EDT).
I own Y EDP but have tested Le Parfum on my skin a couple times now with testers at Macy’s, so far I think they are pretty different to me and I would definitely own both. Le Parfum is on my list :) overall a big fan of YSL in general, I have La Nuit De L’Homme as well as the bleu electrique flanker, and the regular L’Homme too. Love them all!
@@michaelvoorhees5978 well since my initial post I actually purchased Y Le Parfum as well. In the Y line I think Le Parfum is my favorite. But to be honest when I was comparing them on test strips EDP was my fav. Now that I’ve spent a little more time with them I do think they open more similar, on skin, than I originally thought but then go different ways in the dry down. But you can still tell it’s the same dna. As for my general YSL favorite, it’s a close call between La Nuit De L’Homme and the Bleu electrique flanker.
Funny this for posted today. I just got some samples of LNDL edt. Edp, and Y edp in. I've switched to Y EDT (2017) as my signature scent, because the people I work with seem to absolutely love it. Just tried the EDP for the first time this morning and wow, I am in love, definitely picking up a bottle. I'm glad I picked up a few bottles of the 2017, and I am curious to try the new Y EDT.
Well, 8 months later, this would be an actual decision. Today, I would ultimately say the same thing, but not by much The Dior Homme line is a solid choice. It wouldn't be in consideration, but as I go further along into collecting, I may consider it to be my favorite line
I have the EDP and my wife loves it. It's almost gone though, and I think I'll get the Parfume next. I love the blacked out bottle. Can't wait to try it.
i own both and i can tell you that there is a difference, y le parfum reminds me a little bit of versace eros, just a liiiittle bit, its like y edp mixed with eros but with a very very dark twist, LOVE IT, im pretty sure you are going to like it aswell, if i were you i would buy both, if you are running low on the edp then get both the edp and y le parfum, thats what i did, cant choose one over the other, some days i go y edp and others i go y le parfum, masterpieces.
@@uyokudantai hey man even on fragantica theres a section were people vote for what fragances smell like the one you are watching, its not just my opinion, its like 30% eros but its definitely there and im pretty you dont know either so dont worry about it.
EDT is the blue fragrance of the Y Line. Edp and le parfum are the complete opposite. These 2 are for evenings and for cooler weather and are very similar. I smell edt in edp, but not so much in le parfum. I prefer le parfum.
YSL Y Live - beautiful at the beginning and the middle notes, but especially in the heat in the base it has the smell of laundry detergent, which begins to drill your nose.
I have the EDT and Fraiche, and wore both in the florida heat this summer, and YSL Fraiche absolutely shines with heat! Starts off with that lemonade scent, then transforms into the original edt!
The new YSL Y EDP Intense is absolutely my favorite of the bunch. It's way more mature and complex than the edp and little so than the parfum, plus the drydown is beautiful. More versatile than the EDP considering it's lower projection and it being less sweet but more woody, the patchouli is an amazing addition. I'd use Y EDP for more fun events or going out with friends, or if you want something way more youthful.
I bought y live because i liked the edp but it became too sweet for me in the long run. And i am happy with it. I was also able to try the le parfum but its a Y's take on a date night fragrance.
You can wear this fragrance ANY TIME ANY DAY ANY NIGHT ANY SEASON. Just during summer and hotter weather use less sprays. It’s an all season fragrance.
11:10 It isn't redundant to have the two at all. one can easily tell which one's which. Le Parfum is noticeably warmer, and less aggressive, but still crazy pleasant. I admit my EDP remains noticeable more than the Le Parfum, but I still prefer Le Parfum.
The first impression of YSL Le Parfum on me was great.. the opening notes are spicy strong and little sweet / sour but it ends totally flat citrussy. Which killed all the impression it built at the beginning.
I’ve used y edp for a year and a half now and everytime I use it, I get an extreme headache. I only use 2 sprays of it. Sad cause after a couple hours it smells great
I myself don't get a headache, but the opening is rough and screechy and I could definitely see how more than a few minutes of it could make someone nauseated. I find it's best to apply it to as far from your nose as you can manage (upper back and arms) and give it plenty of time to settle before you have to be around other people. Le Parfum solved this problem for me.
If you want a collection the go ahead. But for me Le parfum smells a little bit like the new jean paul gaultier La male le parfum. Just stay w the Y’s you have and buy something different IMO
Y le parfum is the king in the line then Live but performance is weak for Live. Everything else is an L. EDP has been reformulated and performance knocked down
Great take as always, thanks Ash. Can we get an equivalent for L'Homme and La Nuit as well? There are way too many flankers at this point and I'd love to get your take on which are the best in each case.
I have 3 bottles of the le parfum and eau fraiche. 2 200 ml of the edp.1 200 ml of the old edt and a new 100ml of the new and 1 bottle of live.i love the Y line!
I actually don't mind if that one gets discontinued because with the new reformulation of the EDT in my opinion it makes that one obsolete and redundant for me personally the only ones that I actually want to own are the ones that I actually already have which are the EDP and the parfum
Y live best in the line IMO but looks like it's being discontinued, at least a well known perfumery here in France told me they would no longer be stocking it, they now only have the gift set available for order (I wonder if it'll be reformulated like the EDT or just axed).
EDP is my favorite, people would tell me I sprayed on too much after I had just put on a single full spray Phenomenal smell just beware it can choke people out before the dry down
Great video! Any chance you could review Yeves St. Laurent Rue 24 as well? I know it's not in the line. Maybe a video reviewing more "niche" or exclusive fragrances from designer brands? I know dior also has a bunch! But I've been wondering what you'd think of that one!
Hands down the le parfum is the best and it’s not even up for debate,, this fragrance is literally the perfect fragrance,, it’s last forever, gr8 sillage, gr8 projection very masculine with a touch of sweetiness you can’t get any better

@@beenheem7590 Nah, nothing but compliments and nice comments from the EDP. I do agree that it can be kind of harsh for some to wear, apparently.. It isn't one that gets a ton of wear, considering that I have 180 other fragrances. 😂
Any idea if Y EDP got reformulated? I bought a bottle not too long ago and its doesn't last anywhere near as much as everyone says it would. I know there is many factors for one being my own body chemistry but I would also like to ask if anyone knows.
Ok guys!!! I have aquatics for summer daytime. I have the heavies for fall and winter. I like the ysl edp better than bdc edp. Which would be the best choice goto day & night spring, summer and early fall (out for dinner, weekend errands, backyard bbqs?) Turning 50 young at heart. Tia guys
