tfw didn't know Loblaws (one of the biggest grocery chains in Canada) actually had U.S. stores at one point. They literally just rotated their logo to turn into an N for National.
I'm from Canada as well and one of its logos (which is nearly identical to the now-defunct National Supermarkets) - is currently used as a logo for its "Dominion" stores in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. I also seen/heard that the "L" logo is being used for it's "Loblaws CityMarket" stores (and in the case of the Canadian province of Quebec - for it's newly renovated "Provigo" stores (which is also owned by Loblaws). That chain is called "Provigo Le Marché").

I know people keep asking you but please do more. You bring levity. Not that no one else does. And you are right on about anti-advertising as you mentioned in the past. That's why some of us end up ROFL with this type of humor. Hell, hatred of manipulation drove me to do my first funny edit of commercials back in 2000 when I fixed some broken video tape machines that could kinda do frame accurate editing. First chance I had I spent all $600 I had on old worn out vtr's and put adds under the "magnetic guillotine". I wish I'd known how much fun others had editing that stuff. Would have had parties for that.
