I know he once narrated a PSA-ish video CS188 already covered some time ago because he had a DUI/DWI PS: It's Hollywood, a lot of people have dirt on others AND there're also people willing to help each other for fun.

@@DiegoRuiz1991 Holy shish! I never knew that Gilbert provided his voice for thar fire safety PSA video because of a DWI/DUI. I always figured he just wanted to participate because it was a good cause. Then again, it’s pretty in character for Gilbert to be blackmailed into lending his voice for a PSA rather than doing it for the sake of education.

@@DiegoRuiz1991 On a side note, it really sucks that Gilbert Gottfried had his career pretty much ruined over a relatively harmless 9/11 joke. Like… c’mon guys… he’s a comedian, nothing should be completely off-limits. Was it “too soon”? Perhaps. Was it “too far”? I strongly disagree with that sentiment, even if a bunch of people felt deeply offended. That’s comedy, folks! If you can’t stand the heat, gtfoutta the kitchen!

Outside of some rare occasions where the celebrity has a big connection with the cause (a close relative dead because of drunk driving or whatever), there is always a legal reason.
