@@Boristien405 I think he’s married now and retired from the game. But he still talks to his yugi buddies. So I’m sure they keep him informed on what’s going on.
Konan Tenshi that's why so many people don't like Yu-Gi-Oh anymore. It's all searching for cards, shuffling deck, sending/getting cards from graveyard. Instead of battling its more at doing effects
@@lordofthered1257 yes it would. Luck is more relevant than you think. Most people wont acknowledge luck, even tho its a huge factor. Consistency would give support to him being more skilled, but the fact he never topped anything afterwards again gives support to the idea of being lucky.
Fl Youness speaking of childish, isnt it the reason they made this game, for children, and the young adults? 😄 I was suggesting to make the battles amazing. because not all people appreciate Yugi Oh.
City Snake i know but don't u think its kinda useless ?, i agree with u in the old yugioh when you were able to summond 1 monster on a turn , nowadays you can sommon 7 monsters in a turn , so ur gonna wait for it to pop up and then tribute it (realy boring , and yugioh duel links is a full proof ), also the game is about strategy and wining , not staring at how colorful monstres are :) .
Mostly in tournaments players stack cards which allow them to go through there decks and choose a card they want. Its bullshit and not that fun to watch.
@@rayk7307 no, it's just because modern decks do a lot of searching lol, they just don't have the "deck is then shuffled" clause at the end of the card text like sangan did way back when.
@@chataclysm2112 The whole reason why they need to be shuffled after searching is because you see the order of cards when you look at your deck, meaning if you didnt shuffle you can play with the knowledge (that you shouldn't have) about what you will draw next and play accordingly. That is cheating.
AlienNinjaPuppy Wasn't trying to hate, just referencing Shunsuke lost to Madolche in the first round, and that Erik managed to get to finals only to brick with Blue-Eyes to Shunsuke's Blue-Eyes. Also, worlds format isn't played anywhere other than there, so in terms of what deck is actually best, it isn't even as relevant as a YCS in your country. Obviously don't think that Madolche is actually a relevant deck, and honestly you seem like a dumbass for taking anything said in my comment or the replies so seriously.
can't wait for a meta refresh, we will have them blue-eyes, maybe majespecter's, yang zing metalphoes, d/d/d, the wild ghostricks (i wish) and hopefully normal pendulums will see some play. metalphoes are just too spashable if you can run another archtype is deskbots and it still be alright (since the bots aren't that great) you know that shit is busted
having 2 blue eyes in the final is something to be proud of really the deck wasnt op or busted it didnt had infinte loops nor infinite negates nor nasty otk or stall the deck barely made it because of their match up with the other meta
Normally I'd agree with you, except for the fact that Konami rigged the entire tournament in order to have Blue Eyes be the winner. Because how can you explain Konami making multiple cards solely for Blue Eyes that "coincidentally" countered every single meta deck at the time, and one card in particular (Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon) single-handedly stopping the entire pendulum deck. That's why the fact that both players bricked in the first turn of the finals is hilarious.
MegaCapitalG Normally I will just vote for "Not Interested" to videos that were not to my likings and were recommended to me. If you are taking over RU-vid, what would the new video website name be? Are you taking over Google too?
Ricardo Díaz they are tarfs like they cant afford 3 camers (1for each player hand or at backs) and then at top one... then there should be a speecher to comment whole game and this guys infront of them ... tshirt were horibble cmon KONAMI isnt a big company so why dafuq they cant afford sth better?!?!
creo que eres de sudamerica, ?no? mi computeca no tiene espanol, lo siento. estudio espanol y estoy muy contento. if you were from spain the 'z' would be pronounced as a "th" i think. spanish is amazing and i speak with the 's' too. i love south america !!!! yo soy de grecia
Orale, en realidad soy de México, pero siempre me pone contento que gente de otros continentes aprecien latinoamérica. In my case is the same, my English is not good at all but I like to know new people of other places than America.
duel monsters is so shit now. they had to crap up the game by adding synchro summons and pendulum summons. the first guy freakin summoned like a million op monsters on the first turn and did 3600 dmg. literally the game should not end in 2 turns.
Daniel Ijust everything is so scripted now with themed decks. i liked it better when each and every duel you play with 1 deck is different and situational. now it's like you make the same moves every game using different cards.
Man the fast paced nature gets worse every year. I literally stopped playing ygo last year. Pendulum and progressively unbalanced card designs makes the game unbearable. 2 turns your either lock out of some bs were you cant play ygo anymore or they swing for game with a massive field. Too much card advantage nowadays as well.
ChimeraBlitz007 they should just make an alternative vanilla card game. Really can't get back into yugioh with this nonsense. Duel links made me enjoy the card game. Not the summoning simulator it's become in recent years
Erik logic: -Wins Nats with Domain Monarchs (the most inconsistent deck) -Bricks in the finals with Blue-Eyes Lmao regardless Erik made America proud! Congrats to him!
Wow that mirror was so bad, the usa player just bricked two games ina row . . . And for those who thing blue eyes will get hit cuz the deck won worlds, your bad.
Yugioh has become so confusing damn. I remember when the entire turn was that you played a monster and optimally played a trap/spell or two. Now, 0:24 - 3:25 was his turn, look how fucking much he did, this is no fun at all. Bring back the originals !!
erik summoned sage and his opponent used effect veiler, then his turn ended, shunsuke essentially was playing on his opponent's turn and also a lot of the time is thinking and shuffling
MuffinsCrib Most duels are still like that. In case you've forgotten, this is the World Championships, of course players are going to spend awhile thinking.
it's actually fun if you know how to do it and it's called Synchro Summoning, it's a totally awesome new way to get strong monsters out with weaker monsters.
I don't think Blue-Eyes will get hit on next banlist since it's still new and they still want to make money off of the deck, but it's still scary, but interesting at the same time to see what happens to it.
it will probably be like tellarknights, but I don't think they will get hit due to them still being new and more stuff coming, so they want to continue hyping it up. Maybe in the banlist after this upcoming one will be answers to them. I'm still scared as a Blue-Eyes player :(
I could see OCG hitting blue-eyes since they've been in OCG longer than TCG. TCG version, I hope doesn't get hit and even if they did, it would minor hits that wouldn't hurt them at all.
Watching it in 2024 when u already quit the game hits hard ( played from 2018 till 2022) the game looks so peacefull and the commentator said such a big board with 2 monsters on board 😢😂
usa derserve that brick fest hand for being too cute for playing galaxy soldiers instead of playing cards that would get him to his key cards faster to make plays and like all American pro players anything that can make infinity is ewww.....so good. usa dumb ass need to learn from japan there a reason why they win or top more worlds then usa do because they dont play the game to look cute they play to win and win that it.
The only reason history has been made is because Konami makes it nearly impossible for many decks to be competitive enough to compete with the new and very powerful decks
Besides, if their reasons wanting a white stone of legend is to get a blue-eyes white dragon to their hand, i strongly sudgest that they should just stick with white stone of ancients. It can virtually do that by banishing it and taking a blue eyes from grave to hand.
Yu-Gi-Oh is more dependant on luck than anything :( I didn't even know they had a championship because of that factor, if you don't pull a useful card it's game over but you have to have cards for combos or you will also lose
Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon was the homie. It locked out Pendulum Summoning, denied BAs and Shaddolls the chance to use Graveyard Effects and could float into other LIGHT Dragon Synchros at will-it was just the perfect anti-meta card at the time.
Casual me playing yugioh: Oh, I'll just draw one card and hope that it will be good. This: *Cards getting rearranged and reshuffled* Me: I... I... I don't know how this works anymore. :(
OH man with augmented reality emerging this past year I can only imagine what they'd come up with so that this games actually look like the animations lol
If USA is that good then he could have avoided getting bricks. Minimizing the chances of bricks is part of the challenge in playing card games like this, you know.
i've expected an good old yu gi oh fight where you pick 6 cards and place your monster and/or spells/traps hidden. Now what is this bullshit. Thats how small kids were playing this back in the days. They just didnt care about a 8-stars monstercard. This is total bullshit.
Wtf ycs?! Think bigger, dude. This is worlds!!! But even in worlds with the greatest players on earth, nothing's gonna save you from a brick hand... Poor guy. What shit luck.
Question: Who here DOESNT have a themed deck? I prefer to go old style and mixed. Themed is too complicated and ruins the fun for me. I would love to have an old fashioned duel again.
Jonathan Florento Yeah themes are so boring. You look up sheets of the best cards and just follow the script. So boring, completely skill-less. Probably 70000 other people with your exact same deck lol. It's terrible.
Worlds uses a ban-list that's unique to it. In the grand scheme it's irrelevant and only helps to see what decks might need nerfs (BEWD is not that good and dies to current TCG meta). Also the metal firs matchup isn't bad and the next decks are weak enough to where rouges will have a better chance to flourish. Also we have Kozmos which negates all the targeting that BEWD does.
+Murray do you really believe so? For who know how many years the meta was 2 or 3 tier 0 deck every format. Then came this April OCG format with more than 5 decks can be viable: BE, Pk fire, monarch, DDD, Pendulum variants (metalfoes, EM dragonpals) which is the greatest of konami creativity ever shown...
This is why mtg is better... nowadays yugioh meta decks, you can win in 2-3 turns. Mtg you can play however you want and you def can't win in 2 turns lmao, games take ages, I loved yugioh back then but it turned into a money fest
can't really play however you want in competitive. You follow the meta for the most part. Standard is shit in mtg though so while yugioh is fast and obnoxious. Mtg is slow and dull.
For those of you saying that Blue-Eyes are getting hit on the banlist, why? The deck has only been out for a month, and don't have everyone it needs. Melody reprints, may got to 2,but that's it. Deck isn't as good in the TCG because all of the previous meta decks (Monarch,Kozmo,Pepe,B.A.) haven't been killed off. Both banlists and the restrictions of the cards just say no to everything else.
I used to love yugioh I was a hardcore player recently I found my cards and almost all of them are black listed now wtf? Can't use pot of greed yata garasu etc wtf happened???
Mai Yamada they are an awesome deck. If your opponent isnt gay with synchro xyz etc... I get dominated by harpies from my friends deck and i run blue eyes
Yugioh was better in the early 2000s it was simple anyone could just pick up a deck and learn how to play the game with in 10mins but now it's like complicated and just stupid back then it was cool when you were able to have a black eyes red Dragon or a blues eyes white Dragon or a dark magician but now is they fucked it up I use to play in the early 2000s now that I see this it's like wtf is this bullshit
It's a lot more strategic, fast, and combolicious than it was back then. Playing old Yugioh is so slow, like Summon a beater that does nothing, set a card and pass. Those duels dragged on and were blah.
3 years late but.. YGO was always complicated as fuck, it just had less interaction, Priority was a nightmare to understand, so was Missing timing when that was first relevant. also the game did not get much longer in explanation time, the main rules stayed the same, the ONLY things added are the new summoning methods which take 1-2 minutes each (pendulum being the most complex becase of the open in ED rule and when that happens)and the coresponding zones
I'mma a returnee after many years. When I heard a Blue Eyes deck actually won a world championship, I had to come here. Jezuz christ, when's Dark Magician next? Lol
It's funny to think that you could take almost any modern deck to one of these (yes, time travel LMAO) and just cream the champion. I mean, yeah, that's how powercreep goes, but, yeah. Funny to think about. "Link what now??"
Watching it from 2024 when u already quit the game hits even ( played from 2018 till 2022) the game looks so peacefull and the commentator said such a big board with 2 monsters on board 😢😂
Why not the tournament be in Digital instead of old style..Yu-Gi-Oh PC VERSION game is more fun than this..So boring and no one can see what are they using..just a boring announcer..
Idk whats going on in yugioh universe anymore ,the last time I follow is YuGiOh season Gx ,Judai Yuki ,stardust ,shining stardust dragon ,evil heroes ,etc.. (lol so embarrassing) Now I bet Theres a lot of Op cards out there.
Nelson Idr there is but remember this is the highest stage of yugioh out there and they will play broken and the best decks there's still a huge amount of people who play casual and fun decks
