Not Creative Enough Wait what's Extra Secret Rare? Is that like where the entire card is Secret Rare? And I don't know how I forgot Platinum Rare. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon has a Platinum Secret Rare I use so much.
@@BlueZangoose_ it's theorized that Solomon's Blue Eyes was going to be inheirited by Yugi. Kaiba ripping it symbolizes that he doesn't want Yugi to use it as his Ace Card.
@@ShadowKnight5204 That would make sense! He did say he didn't want anyone using it against him! That and, since he failed to acquire before through both fair means and foul (he feigned dropping it so he could swap it with a fake!)...
Seto: *Hates the toon blue eyes because it disgraces the absolute power of the original Blue Eyes* Also Seto: *Flies around in a blue eyes jet that looks like a massive toy*
Haha Kaiba deep down is totally a big kid, come on what doesnt scream inner child than getting a buttload of money and then using it to make a custom Blue eyes jet XD
You’d think after all this time, Konami would have made either a fusion of Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes, like a Violet-Eyes Twilight Dragon, or maybe a card that branches the two archetypes, like a Yellow-Eyes Gray Dragon
Man the blue eyes I remember they were the first cards I ever got gotten one I've ever started this game hanging out with my friends in elementary school the only one who ever Rock the blue eyes
i understand non is gona complain and my faivorite blue eyes card is maiden with eyes of blue becase she is beatifull and that would be awesome if konami create a blue eyes chick it would be so fucking adorable
Wait....was the amount of artworks on PURPOSE!?! Think about it: Blue Eyes is Level 8 and has 8 artworks. Dark Magician is Level 7 and as such has 7 artworks
Kisara was unique in that, rather than CARRYING the BEWD, manifesting it from her soul - her soul IS Blur Eyes. It’s why she went unconscious every time she manifested it!
Josh Adams when i first encountered it i was using a yugi type deck and had used a card called dark magic attack unaware that my opponent who was using a blue eyes deck had burst stream of destruction i called it white lightning when i first seen it... god that was over a decade ago
@@gerogyzurkov2259 Yeah, it's the Japanese name for the same thing, but it seems like an oversight that it wasn't given the same English name when it was translated.
Yeah I thought something was off with that line, since I had Paladin of White Dragon way before 2013, which was when Maiden was released, and Kaibaman I knew showed up before the Synchro/Tuner era.
I actually love Blue-Eyes Chaos Max Dragon. My favorite effect it has is that if it attacks an opponent's defense position monster, the opponent takes double piercing battle damage.
"this is why Kaiba adores Blue Eyes in the present." We just going to forget about how he tore one in half, right? And I know he was a dick before the mind crush and he could only have three in his deck (unless he screwed the rules) but you'd think that the sort of connection he has with it would maybe make him do something else with the fourth; like, I don't know, take it out for dinner?
Argorok87 I'm sure Kaiba valued his dragons because of their 3000 attack points. He was treating his monsters like tools. Which is why he was laughing every time Yugi mentioned the heart of the cards. That was until he visited ancient Egypt.
@shadowfr0st yeah in real life, but not in the anime, where they actually are based on those ancient egyptian duel spirit things and have supernatural powers
It doesn't count, though. Paladin of White doesn't have "Blue-Eyes" in its name, so it can't be used as part of any effect that specifies "Blue-Eyes". It also came out back before Archetypes were a thing.
Kaibaman and Burst Stream of Destruction (GX era), White Stone of Legend (5d's era) and Maiden with Eyes of Blue (Zexal era) were the first cards to give support for Blue-Eyes White Dragon before Priestess.
These are a set of support cards and not an archtype They don't have Blue-Eyes in their name and also they don't Support the Archtype "Blue-Eyes" but strictly and precisely Blue-Eyes white dragon only Thats why Blue-Eyes became an archtype in 2015
Okay, I get that this was uploaded a few years back, but there's also a "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon". It's a fusion, like the other two ultimates, and if "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" I'd used as a material, it can destroy up to 3 cards on the field per turn, but cannot attack that turn. Arguably the best out of the 3 "Ultimates".
There's also a Blue Eyes Chaos Dragon. Which isn't to be confused with Chaos MAX, is the 3rd Dark attribute Blue Eyes White Dragon monster, the 2nd Blue Eyes White Dragon ritual monster, and is meant to be interpreted as a direct evolved form of Blue Eyes White Dragon due to its effect.
I thought it was weird that maiden with eyes of blue was the counterpart to Palladium Oracle Mahad when Mahad became the Dark Magician until I realized that Kasara became Blue-Eyes White Dragon because it's not like the priest was just gonna be hanging around in ancient Egypt with a dragon.
Maiden was first in TCG and OCG. As the Blue-Eyes Structure deck that introduced her, came out much earlier than the booster pack that introduced more support in the form of 'Eyes of Blue'.
@@traviswilson1719 they are not official archtype support for blue-eyes But rather exclusively for blue-eyes white dragon It took 10 yrs for blue-eyes to become an archtype and to have a sub archtype in the name of eyes of blue
Common, star foil, shatter foil, mosaic rare, star foil rare, Kiaba corp rare, Platinum rare, Gold rare/Secret rare (basically anything in special packs that near guarantees one), rare, super rare, ultra/ultimate rare, secret rare, Ghost rare, (Before "Breakers of Shadows" as each pack, I think TCG only, was guaranteed a rare and a holo but took out Ultimate rare and Ghost rare)also depending on packs as Astral Packs come with 3 cards only and have mainly Ultra Rares in there as there commons, but they usually are hard to obtain
I said Gold and Ghost, never heard of Black Rare, what set does that happen to be in? But most rares like Parallel usually fall Just near common as they usually are in special packs that you at least buy 5 of you can get one in. We as TCG players also have no more Ghost rares since Zexal, I think, Ultimate rare exists only in OCG as they only get 5 cards per pack as we get 9 per pack in TCG and they aren't guaranteed Ultra-Secret like we get in "Break of Shadows"
(Sorry if this is long, 1st part is the answer 2nd part is extra knowledge) Kaiba Corp Rarity is and exclusive Japanese rarity for the Dark Sides Promo Pack they had things like Lemon Magician Girl in that rarity. In the TCG we just got Gold Rare, Gold Secret Rare, and Ultimate Rare. (Gold Rare for the Movie Box and for packs it was Ultimate rares. I dont think Secret rares were in there, if so, I never got any) Japan usually gets a lot smaller packs then we do and more, like we got _Noble Knights_ (an amazing archetype) in "Shadow Spectors" OCG they didnt get in that they had a pack exclusive to itself I think its titled Legacy of the Knights... they also didnt get Platinum Rare as the box set is TCG only along with that the card _Final Chapter of the Noble Knights_ was also a TCG exclusive if I remember and only appearing in the box set replacing the Brothers
DropOut Stratos There is a gold version of ghost rare. That's what he meant when he said gold/ghost. They added the two rare types together. Search Gld5-En001 on Google and you'll see an example
Konami. You gave Blue Eyes all these amazing support cards but for Red-Eyes, Summoned Skull/Archfiend and Dark Magician, you either give them lackluster support cards or heavy restrictions like in case of Eternal Soul, the clause {Destroy all monsters you control}? Come on man make it fair. Also 667th comment
I'd love to see an Aromage Archive. But they might be getting future support. Who knows? But if we ever get the Link monster here in the TCG, they might be good to review.
Common Starfoil/Mosaic/Shatterfoil (These are only available in the battle packs and are not worth much) Gold/Gold Secret/Platinum/Platinum Secret Super Ultra Secret Ultimate Ghost Parallel
has anyone realised that with the "with eyes of blue" archetype being support to the "blue eyes" archetype there is "theoretically" a blue eyes ultimate bypass for summoning blue eyes shining using protector with eyes of blue's effect moreso than Master's. I say this because after you activate protector's effect you can summon Master from your hand. then you can send either Master or Protector to the graveyard for the second step as both are Effect monsters you be controlling at that point in time. then special summon 1 "blue eyes" monster which "theoretically" and "technically (based on archetype)" includes blue eyes shining dragon
No because shining must be summoned by its own eff Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 300 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets this card (except during the Damage Step): You can negate that effect.
You'd have to have a card that specifies "...and ignore its summoning conditions" or "...and negate its effect(s)." Shining specifically has the effect that it MUST be Special Summoned by Tributing Ultimate Dragon. Master can't be used to summon Shining, either.
When I was 11 I legit wrote a poem that only I (and my best friend) knew was about Blue Eyes White Dragon and it got entered into a poetry competition at my school.
I remember i was in school and took one of my friends Blue Eyes that i needed to have all 3 but also bc it was one of a kind i think. The image was of blue eyes white dragon on top of a tower i believe. Im Sorry but it was so cool
yeah that said this video has sent me on a hunt for that Legendary magician of dark card looks like i will have to buy a full box or two of that world super stars set now
that is true but Dark Magician girl having the Magician girl archetype is not really the same as Dark magician, for example monsters like Skilled Dark magician, magician's Valkyria, Magicians rob and rod all feel like they could be part of the archetype, on top of that we have the fusion and XYZ monsters and the many Dark magician magic/trap support cards from over the years i really feel there is or was going to be a full archetype for him
Your factoid check on Yu-Gi-Oh the movie was correct. If Paladin of White Dragon was accounted for, Seto Kaiba would have won the duel before the interference. It's entirely possible that the movie counted it was a Warrior-Type instead of a Dragon-Type... which is lame considering many of the issues _Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie_ has.
Best Archetype EVER! , but it honestly needs way more cards. Have you seen the Dark Magicians Cards in comparison? It’s not even fair that DM has a ton of easy forms to summon and use. Whereas, The Blue-Eyes doesn’t have a female monster counter part or anything like the Dark Magician. He’s just a rival and i feel like they could do WAAAAAYYYY more for the B.E. to balance that out.
You forgotten about the Cyberse counterpart, Paladin of Storm Dragon. There is another Blue eyes ritual monster called Blue Eyes Chaos Dragon without MAX in its name. There is a another Blue eyes fusion monster Blue Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon. Magician of Black Chaos has a MAX counterpart, Magician of Black Chaos MAX. There is Dark Magician counterpart, Magician of Chaos That's all I know
The first of the "with Eyes of Blue" archtype was Maiden. Priestess was a part of Shining Victories. Only a half minute in and already getting shit wrong.
kossur10 IDK if you've gotten your answer, yet, but it barely matters. Seeing as you can easily get a Decode Talker out using any 3 effect monsters, and Blue-Eyes are great for spamming the board, you can work around the extra deck summon limit just fine. However, seeing as Blue-Eyes tend to only need the ONE extra deck monster at a time, (think, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon) they're not really hindered at all. So...not at all, really.
So Dimension Explosion has an artwork showing Yugi, Kaiba and Joey's monsters fighting against Jaden, Chaz and Sirus' monsters respectively but not in that order.
just recently blue eyes got a new fusion, dragon magia master. it requires 3 blue eyes monsters or ultimate dragon, and a black luster soldier or max ritual monster
When you said that Neo Blue Eyes White Dragon is the only Blue Eyes wyvern, that's not true. Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is also a wyvern as it has no arms
Same with Blue-Eyes Ultimate and Neo Ultimate Dragons! It annoys me when they wrongly call wyverns dragons! Like in Skyrim: "Oh, no! A dragon is attacking us!" Me: "What? AS WELL!? Damn! You guys jus can't seem to catch a break, can you? Jus one question, though... where's the dragon? I only see this wyvern..." Ironically, in Elder Scrolls there IS a proper dragon: Peryite, the Daedric Prince of Pestillence and Petty Tasks! One of the weakest Daedra Lords after Clavicus Vile and Meridia!
@@KaitouKaiju They are a subspecies, the main difference being that dragons have six limbs (two forelegs, two hind legs and two wings), while wyverns have only four, missing the forelegs! Also, they're actually weaker than dragons, wyverns and they're not the only subspecies... If you want to get a really good idea jus look at Red-Eyes Wyvern and Red-Eyes Retro Dragon! They both illustrate my point!
@@CD-Gaming And then therr is Fire Emblem. Wyverns have 6 limbs too there, the difference is that wyvern are mount animals when dragons are their own person, people, that can transform into humanoid greenheads with elf ears.and then there is Rajaion...
It is a support but its not part of the archtype As it doesn't name Blue-Eyes in any manner It sure precisely name Blue-Eyes white dragon but it doesn't do anything to the archtype but to BEWD thats why Blue-Eyes didn't became an archtype until 2015
You forgot Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, the best Blue-Eyes monster there is. Basically the Dragoon of the Blue-Eyes archetype. That and Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon which I don't really care about but it is still a Blue-Eyes card. EDIT* Just realized this video is from 4 years ago so they didn't exist yet. Nevermind.
Mosaic/shatterfoil/starfoil fall outside of the normal rarity structure since they’re for battle packs and Star packs which typically don’t have much in the way of high rarity cards
Common Rare Shatter foil, which has numerous variants, such as Mosaic Rare, and Kaiba Corp(this rarity is usually only see in Battle Packs and Japan) Super Rare Ultra Rare Ultimate Rare Gold Rare (only seen in the Gold edition) Platinum Rare(only seen in a Noble Knights box set) Secret Rare Gold Secret Rare(only seen in the Gold edition) Ghost Rare Gold Ghost Rare(I could be wrong and this doesn't exist, but I believe it's from a Gold Edition with a 'Haunted Mine' theme) Both Ultimate and Ghost have been dropped. Ghost was removed at the time the TCG implemented a 'one holo' in every pack system.
I feel like shatterfoil, starfoil, and mosaic rare come either before or after the duel terminal rares because the duel terminal rare also have the shiny coating and effect over the entire card.
Power and potential. . . . . Somehow if Konami give a though of this line they gonna release something along the line (a Fusion Monsters Blue-Eyes White Dragon + Dark Dragon Lvl 7 or a Red-eyes Black Dragon + Light Dragon Lvl 8). . . . Man the effect must be worthy Cruze it's already the biggest Chunk of a brick.
I can see I'm late, but, since you're including cards from the new film, the Cubic boss monster (whatever his name is, I can't recall it exactly) is also fused by using 3 of them.
