Hearing about the supreme king and the gentle darkness, you gotta appreciate how much Yu-Gi-Oh sticks to it's guns that darkness is not an evil attribute. Hell, you could argue light is more often shown to be the inherent evil in the world
It varies depending on the user, but it is nice how darkness is not inherently evil. Atem, for example, is literally named "Dark Yugi" for a good while, but he's essentially the protagonist for the first half or more of the original series (at which point regular Yugi begins to take the stage more) despite being dark aligned.
There is that in the Noble night archetype as well Artorigus is a XYZ monster a "Dark" card while Lancelot(dont remember) is a synchro monster, a "Light" card
I have a theory why super polymerization needs to sacrifice a card in the anime because Cyrus wasn’t sacrificed in the ritual so the card needed to compensate for it,
Yea if Cyrus was used in the ritual the sacrifice of a card from the hand restriction wouldn’t be needed, i don’t think Konami would allow it in real life it would be broken
I mean if you remember the scene in GX where Jaden dueled that little Girl that had a crush on Zane and then later on him Burstinetrix was not happy when she found out what Avian and Sparkman did
I also immediately thought back to that scene but if you kinda think about it, she was more mad at the fact that Avian and Sparkman were lusting after Blair's monster and not taking their heroic job (pun intended) seriously
With the Dark Fusion artwork I always thought it was good cause it looked like the heroes were looking at you feeling betrayed as darkness was used to forcefully fuse them together to create an Evil Hero fusion monster.
I like to think that Evil HERO Malicious Bane is the evil counterpart of Elemental HERO Electrum, As Electrum is the combination of almost all the HERO's and saves all the monsters that were banished from the field while Bane is the combination of all the evil HERO's and destroys all his opponents and absorbs there energy to become stronger
I'd argue he's more akin to the Phoenix Enforcers. He has a head crest and an exposed mouth like Shining and Phoenix. Has claws, wings, and a tail, like Phoenix, though the physical similarities lean more towards Shining in my opinion. Has attack increasing abilities involving death like Shining ( though they function differently ). And they have destruction protection, like the Phoenixs.
About the fact that burstinatrix being more evil than avian: You can see in the dark fusion art, that avian looks far more regretful than burstinatrix as she just turns away her back
I just posted an additional observation I found out to solidify the theory. As Rampart Blaster is an earth type and Flame Wingman is wind. But Infernal Sniper and Inferno Wing are both fire types.
I like the concept of the Hero Archetype & think they could've been a series of media all their own. Elemental- Obviously the protagonists Destiny- Antiheros and allies of the Elemental heroes often going the extra mile for justice. Neospacians- Cosmic heroes that aid the others, but deal with galactic threats. Masked- Heroes based on Sentai tropes, preferring to work in secret. Evil- Cracked\Twisted mirror versions of other Heroes. Often their insecurities brought to life. Omni- the elemental powers used by Heroes given physical form, akin to Avatars
Nice Idea also I think how to put the xtra heros into this series. Maybe they are heros from the future who are able to time travel and aid the heros on threats against the space and time continum.
Replace sentai with Japanese Toku tropes as Masked HEROs have Kamen Rider in them. I'd say that was primarily them based on name but, there is some sentai in them too.
So according to your theory on the alignment of original elemental heroes Avian = Neutral Good Clayman = Lawful Good Sparkman = Chaotic Good Bubleman = lawful Neutral Burstinatrix = chaotic neutral
Avian: "oh no! We're being corrupted!" Sparkman: "oh the humanity!" Clayman: "I'm too good for this!" Bubleman: "Noooo!" Burstinatrix: **drinking tea** "So what exactly changed?"
@@black97_0 Avian: You.. are evil?! But i thought you were just a Hot-headeed Tsundere but still a good person! have been literally in your head! Clayman, Sparksman, Bubbleman: Agreed Burstinatrix: I am all that stuff. Also i have a lot of anger-management issues, I am a repressed pyromaniac, And have a lot of resentment towards the idiocities all of you do on daily basis. Except You Clayman. you are my best friend. Clayman: Aww. You are mine too. Sparksman: I thought i was your best friend Clayman! Avian: I feel so alone and betrayed right now. Bubbleman: You! What about me?! I don't even have a Evil HERO Fusion! Een Wildman has one with you! Avian: That's it! Wildman is my new best friend!
Everyone:"I do not want to do this" Burstinatrix:"HAHAHAHAHAHA, the darkness calls out to me!" Avian:"Why do we have her in our team again?" Bubbleman:"Heh, you should know. She is your girlfriend." Avian:"What!? She is not...We are not...Bah! Besides, why are you not becoming corrupted?" Bubbleman:"I guess my smile made me resist. I just pretend to be evil to not be the weird one in the room."
From my perspective on Burstinatrix in this Dark Fusion ideal, given her personality, she shows no tolerance of nonsense from her fellow Heroes, meaning that she's more than ready to take charge of a situation her comrades can't handle, such as tolerating darkness for the time being. While the other heroes (like Avian, as shown in Dark Fusion) are much more remorseful/hurt by having to use their powers for evil instead of good, Burstinatrx asserts temporary leadership when it comes to becoming Evil HERO fusions and in doing so, causes more of her power to be unleashed without turning TRULY evil. Part of my own headcanon suggests that Burstinatrix cares for Jaden deeply, and is the most loyal towards him of the original 5 heroes. Due to this, she is willing to support him no matter what. And while she's not proud of turning evil, she knows that it is the only way she can still be there for him.
I do believe that in the lore of the HERO monsters, Burstinatrix is one of the newest members of the team, and if I recall used to fight against then for a time. It'd make sense why she would be the most willing to side with Jaden, after all she has felt the call of darkness before, and what is needed to tame that darkness within is the aidbof those around you It explains why she's looking at Jaden in the art of Dark Fusion and, if you look carefully, there's a faint smile on her face, as if she's saying "do what you must, but know that we'll always be here for you"
Yami: *uses dark magic to beat his enemies* Jaden: *the entity of Gentle Darkness* Yusei: *while finishing off Paradox in BBT* let it be known that the light will always overcome the dark! Read the room, Yusei
@@heleno6917 yeah. I like playing with the Elemental Heroes and Neo Spacians but I'd like to use the Evil Heroes to. So please let there be a Supreme King event and a new deck box with the evil heroes in it
I always like how Dark Fusion looked. It shows the corruption of the HEROes. Burstinatrix turns her back on you. Avian is with full of anger. With Supreme King in the background, showing who corrupted the HEROes. We need Omni Evil HEROes to back up Dark Gaia. Also evil versions of Bubbleman fusions, because he is the only one, who doesn't have the his name in the Evil HERO text. So Mariner, Steam Healer, Electrum, Mudballman, etc.
@@fumetsusozo idk why I said Supreme King when I knew it was Inferno Wing. I believe I rechecked and miss looked because I didn't wanted to be wrong but end up being wrong by the colors. 😂 The visor and color is the only thing that threw me off and I thought of Supreme King.
I really like the artwork of Dark Fusion too, but I interpret it slightly differently. Like TGS said, Burstinatrix seems to become the dominant part of all Evil Hero fusions she is in, while she is more subdued in the classical Hero fusions. In the artwork Avian seems as much in pain as he seems full of anger, losing control of himself while Burstinatrix have a clear eye directly looking at you, implying she is not only aware but willing in the transformation. I think it ties to her affinity : she is Fire and thus more of a destructive force than the rest, to be used for good it need to be tempered by the other Hero's influence. But when they become a Evil Hero, who have no need for restriction, she instead take control and completely release her power. Theorically, that means she is the most willing of the Elemental Hero to abandon moral restrictions if it need achieving a goal.
I love the artwork for Dark Fusion it’s like a way to see the inner darkness in the good heros and I hope we get evil heros in duel links with supreme king
Oh you remember that 4kids episode Well still less evil then the Japanese version. in that one she wasn't going to tell the entire deck about them. She was gonna skortch their nuts off. Apparently she was the boss of the deck, which would explain why she basically walked around half nude and why she's part of 7 fusions She was a bit of a... What's the mix between Yandere and Tsundere with a pinch of Dominatrix? Or
The strongest Evil HERO Dark Gaia can become is 9000 atk: Dystopia the Despondent & Imperium Magnum the Super Conductive Battlebot. One has 5000 atk the other has 4000 atk (it only goes down from there)
I used to have a deck that was just a bunch of my good cards and I just had to include Dark Gaia so I had Summoned Skull and Gigates in the deck just to have the strongest materials I owned even if they didn't quite fit the deck I was running.
I remember being disappointed that there wasn't an Evil HERO version of shining flare wingman or Neos when i was a kid, maybe they could make them as future support?
Technically, neos wiseman is a exactly that, even tho I think it is sadly not considered part of the archetypes. Having an evil hero yubel would be interessting tho.
I saw the Dark Fusion art as Bustinatrix being the most worried about Judais health. Since it would be the first time he used them while being the Supreme King. Burstinatrix seems to be the big sister/mom for Jaden just like Amethyst Cat is the same for Jesse. Like she’s looking back because she knows somethings wrong with him but she and the other heros can’t help him right now. Like “I know I can’t help you, but I’ll stay by your side.” Kinda like how Yubel feels towards Jaden. And since The Elemental heros, mainly Burstinatrix and Avian are the most important Elemantal Heros Until Neos popped up.
But not inherently evil, just a being that has existed since the beginning of the cosmos who only came to hope prevent further genocide from the human race.
@@darknessnaxxion covering the world in darkness will kill everything but some single celled organisms living by volcanic vents. Even if humanity was the only thing he personally targeted, it wouldn't spare anything else from the same conclusion.
Not gonna lie, i hope they add yubel and jaden yubel to the gates and give them their own unlock missions. Because i swear to god, if i have to deal with another yubel event, I'm yeeting a child out of a window.
Seems unlikely sadly, given that there already were yubel events

Definitely need more Evil HERO support. ^^ Maybe even a darker or "evil" version of Neos and the Neo-Spaciens"? ^^ Can you imagine how that would go? Would be so awesome!! ^^
While Dark Fusion does have rather underwhelming artwork (as does Super Polymerisation come to it), it does kinda support your 'Bustrinatrix a little Evil' theory, since Dark Fusion seems to be causing Avian pain, while Burstinatrix seems more resigned to the situation, as if she's familiar with the scenario.
Idk why but I love the fact that these cards were Earth/Fiend is just awesome to me. There aren't too many other Earth/Fiend monsters as far as I know but I'm no expert
Look up “Evil Hero ORICA Deck” and you SHOULD find a video if this Spanish guy opening an English structure deck, of ORICA cards, FULL of evil hero retrains for the Elemental Heros
The orica cards are honestly sorta cool, but konami wont make much more evil hero stuff. The fusion is stupid good and thier versions of captain gold and necroshade are amazing too
Evil Hero Malicious Bane looks more like a fusion between Infernal Gainer and Malicious Edge. Evil Hero Malicious Fiend looks like a fusion of Malicious Edge and an Evil Token, which is brought out with the effect of Vicious Claw, which was typically equipped to Malicious Edge. In fact, Malicious Fiend was brought out this way via Super Polymerization.
Adusted's art looks so cool Dark Fusion's art may be a bit too anime-feeling. never thought about it having different art, but imagine it'd be like Poly with inverted colors
Personally, I like to add Darkness/Nightshroud to the Light-Dark dichotomy of GX. The Gentle Darkness is as you described it. However, Nightshroud represents the absolute extreme version of that idea.
2:53 so your saying Jaden wasn't corrupted by the power of the dark because of his anger, but the power of the dark was corrupted by Jaden because he awakened it in a moment of anger
"The supreme King is not entirely evil" Everyone in GX:"Ya gotta be kidding, buddy" Btw, I kinda like how who takes over the shared body in the flame wing-fusion changes between normal fusion and dark fusion. Kinda a literal twist on jadens favorite monster instead of just a thematic twist. And it also kinda fits the theory of jaden having such a bond with the monster because it being a fusion of a male and a female hero reminds his subcontiousness of yubel where the genderline is kinda blurry, making it almost whatever.
Watching this again and I just thought how the “core” of the Burstinatrix fusion could be due to her attack being higher and defense lower than Avian and Clayman! So like “good” fusions are defense dependent then the “evil” ones are due to attack
I Love all of the Hero Family ^^ and I think that Evil Hero need a little more support (for can be play pure and/or with Elemental Hero) like a Dark version of Bubbleman, a Rock Evil Hero monster with a good attack for Dark Gaia and also a spell card or a monster that can add one Evil Hero Monster from your deck to your hand or can send one Evil Hero from your deck to your grave. For the extra deck, I think that some new Evil Hero fusion like a fusion of 2 Evil Hero Monsters, a fusion of one Evil Hero monster with one Hero monster and maybe a fusion of Evil Hero Inferno Wing with Sparkman and a fusion with Burstinatrix and Sparkman can be cool ^^ ... I think also that it's can be nice if Evil Hero can have access to a link-2 Xtra Hero that help them ^^ What do you think about my idea ^^ ?
Does anyone realise that dark gaia’s hero counterpart has been right in front of us this whole time, elemental hero shining flare wingman. They both share an ability to increase their attack points depending on what is in the graveyard/ their fusion material. Also their colour pallets and designs are opposites, dark Gaia has jagged, dark grey armour with red and orange highlights while shining flare has smooth, shiny, silver armour with green and blue highlights. And one final hint is that flare wingman uses spark man a light/electric type monster while Gaia uses a earth/rock monster. Dark Gaia= molten magma/ lava Flare wingman= flare/ light
I'd love to see Evil Hero versions of the Manga fusions, the ones that are "1 Elemental Hero + 1 [attribute] monster", maybe invert their attributes so making one with a Fire monster gets you a Water Evil Hero or smth, that could be cool
I always liked the evil heros more then the others just because there effects were a lot more impressive and useful and the designs are cooler in my eyes
One card I think we need in the evil hero archtype is an evil version of Wroughtwrighler. Also Evil Hero Dark Necrom looks like Lord Zedd from power rangers to me.
I just love how Evil Heroes are the advanced versions of regular heroes. What's your favorite Evil Hero? Mine is Dark Gaia! Such cool card and it can OTK easily.
Great vid as always Sam. I actually have Supreme King Castle, Dark Calling, Evil HERO Malicious Edge, Evil HERO Infernal Gainer, 2 copies of Evil HERO Infernal Prodigy, and Evil HERO Malicious Fiend
watching your vids really makes me want to hop back into yugioh. put with all the link monsters and pendulum monsters, it makes it really hard for me to hop back in the game
Only recently started watching GX again after it getting cancelled on CN and haven't made it to the end of season 3 but it's really cool the Evil Heroes aren't necessarily Evil. To take a page from One Piece I suppose you could say they represent Absolute Justice. Beings that will go to any length to ensure Justice is carried out. I always thought they were just pure evil but I suppose not! Guess I can feel not guilty using them now lol.
Actually there is a way to get Dark Gaia’s ATK even Higher! Using Supreme Kings Castle, Greater Polymerization, with Valkyron the magna warrior, Dystopia the Despondent, and Malefic Truth Dragon as the MINIMUM 3 materials you can make Dark Gaia have a base attack of 13500 minimum.
@@Limegreenedragon Typo, I meant to say that Malicious FIEND is tied for the highest amongst all HEROs. With that being said, Malicious EDGE (God I hate the Evil HERO names) is still not the highest amongst main deck monsters. He's tied for third (along with Bladedge) 2nd is Vision HERO Witch Raider and 1st is Destiny Hero Dogma.
When you look at it, Rampart Blaster looks like a Burstinatrix with Clayman as armor, and Infernal sniper looks like Clayman with Burstinatrix as armor.
That feels disturbing. Clayman being made of clay can most likely turn into armor around someone to protect them but the former is Clayman skinning burstanitrix and wearing her skin as armor
So, does anyone else hope that they eventually release Evil Heroes for the other types. (Dragon, Fairy, etc.) That way, you could actually make Super Polymerization more viable for them.
