Yu-Gi-Oh! - Lightsworn Archetype 

One interesting connection between their lore and their iconic self-mill effects is that from the lore, we know that they are spirits that travel to different multiverses and they consume a massive amount of magical energy to stay anchored in the world that they're in. Game mechanics wise, the players' deck is the magical source that they consume by milling the deck, and the stronger the Lightsworn is, the more cards they mill, reflecting the need to consume a larger amount of power (e.g. Jain only mills 2 cards because he's basically a beatstick, while Michael / Judgment Dragon mills 4 because they're the boss monsters and have better effects).

When you separate each Lightsworn members based on their RPG "Jobs": - Tank: Jain, Wulf, Garoth, Michael - DPS: Lyla, Lumina, Ryko, Felis, Celestia, Gragonith, Ehren, Raiden - Support: Jenis, Minerva, Aurkus, Rinyan, Shire, Kyrios

Since you did Judgment Dragon and the Lightsworn, can you do their dark counterpart the Twilightsworn and Punishment Dragon?

This archetype along with the twilightsworn archetype would make an interesting yugioh movie or even a part of yugioh.

Also for those that didn't notice, Michael, although referring to the man in angelic armor, is dragon type due to judgement dragon being his best friend.

I would honestly like to see Lightsworn versions of the Elemental Heroes.

I like how every druid in fantasy is some sort of mystic while irl druids were badically shareholders.

The lightsworn archetype is my favorite in the entire franchise. Destroying the field with Judgement Dragon was my favorite part. Sometimes I would have 2 JD's in my hand, so I would destroy the field with 1 and then special summon the second one and hopefully I've taken off 2000 light points and they'd have nothing to counter it.

Cardfight vanguard I love it mizaki was so cute in that pic when her vanguard was minerva

I like that it’s based on Michael the arch angel who created the monsters and in Christianity Michael is the most feared warrior with the embodiment of god as far as power literally can do whatever wants this card should be wayyyyyyy stronger

Forever my favorite archetype. Based on RPG-esque stuff, which is my favorite genre of games.

There's one thing you forgot to mention in they're story they're rivalry with the dark worlds and the twilightsworns

This is my favorite archetype. I have built 2 decks for them. 1 advanced format and 1 ban. However I do need to update both very soon.

If they ever add more Lightsworn monsters, they should be based off existing monster, basing it around monsters from other archetypes that are heroic or worthy to join the Lightsworns.

I wish if u remake it and tell the whole story and how they evolved to more powerful cards and twilightsworns and the evil monsters they are fighting are already represented in cards as well ( forgot their names tho)

I do love my Lightsworn deck on Duel Links. But I have to say: Aurkus the Druid, probably the worst card in this archetype! 'cause as long as he's on, you can't target your own monsters with spells and traps. Making a huge chunk of your spells and traps useless! There might be situation where it can help, when your opponent uses lots of effects that targets your monsters. But beyond that it's not worth it!

I had to watch this video again just to reconfirm which Lightsworns Duel Links was missing and might I say there are A LOT.

No ones gonna mention that on 7:27 misaki appears as Minerva

2 things worth mentioning that you forgot is raiden is probably named after the god of thunder as wel as rinyan having Nyan in its name which is a japanese frase for the sound that cats make

10:12 Cat, not dog. The Legendary Beasts are based on a Lion (Entei), Sabertooth Tiger (Raikou), and the Mythical Kirin (Suicune) which is a mixture of a dragon, a deer, several big cats, and unicorns, for anyone not in the know.

Finally Lightsworns these guys/girls are tied for my favorite archtype. Oh they are tied with Odd-eyes, Magicain Pendulum, and Performapals :p well more like 4-way tie

Haven't read the master guides just seen the wikia and vids but lore wise is there a connection to the lightsworn and the lightray? Also it seems michael made counter guardians( fate/ series) for yugioh XD

Idk I think Minvera, The Exalted Lightsworn should've been a Synchro Monster instead since I potentially see Lightsworns Extra Deck support mainly being Synchros

this deck is the reason i have Gravekeeper's deck. Gravekeepers effects not so effective against them but lore make it so contra to Lightsworns.

I run 50 card lightsworn with realm of light, the sanctuary, the barrier, and 3 copies of pumpkin princess XD. I also run 3 of each tuner and each extra deck monster. It's super funny, I get the field spell out as fast as possible, and then start fishing for pumpkins. That means the more I mill the stronger my monsters get, and every passing turn makes the opponent lose attack points. Then I just destroy Michael when the deck gets low and put my graveyard monsters back in my deck and do it all over again hahahahahha I play pretty casually, and the format we use is everything before pendulums came out so only synchro and xyz. But it's fun and I win a lot of games

Can you do the Rose Dragon achetype. It got a lot of support cards.

I made this deck with 3 copies of Celsestia and named it Dear Princess Celestia as a reference to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

with the lumina effect, must their be a "Lightsworn" monster in the graveyard order to get raiden from hand to graveyard to field or any card in the graveyard can work so long their is cards in the graveyard to get raiden on to the field

There is thier twilight swron counter parts, punishment dragon and a light swron link monster.
