Hey, in all fairness, I tried out the build, and it plays like a budget version of dragon link. If rng is on your side, it can play through every single hand trap your opponent throws your way, and it ends on better end boards. The reason it's worse are consistency and the inability to run hand traps.

I had this really annoying braty girl in my class and she would always think she had better stuff than anyone around her. there was a card shop I would frequent in the old days to duel and buy cards of course. We had a guy that would come there that legit never showered. He would go to tournaments without showering for months saying it was a strategy of his. His opponents would be so distracted by his foul smelling self that they would often forfeit as they couldn't take it. He won several tournaments doing this, and even won a $40,000 prize. After that event though, they started denying people with poor hygiene from entering. I still don't think he showered after that though. Unfortunately the card shop owner wouldn't deny him from entering because he was one of his most "valued customers"

@любэ шкоро I can only body the AI so many times with Infinitracks until it gets boring annd I switch over to Phantom Knights, then to Salamangreats, then to- You get the idea by now. Also, it would be nice if they updated the Duelist Challenges. Give them some cards so that they aren't as easily defeated. The amount of times I've bodied Arkana with Infinitracks is astounding… I think. I lost track of how many times I've done it.

What I don't get is why those people would want to do it anyway. I get why the anime did it (easier to show off the cards that way,) but in real life it just unnecessarily gives your opponent information (with a few rare exceptions) 🤔

@@homerman76 at the time of the first few seasons, getting the monsters necessary to tribute summon a high strength card was fairly important. There was two ways to go about it - high attack or high defense. But attack was generally capped at about 1600 give or take, whereas multiple monsters had 2000 defense. In most cases setting the monster is just fine, but the hypothetical normal summon in defense position would actually bypass the Shadow of Eyes trap card which could ruin a defensive play and be very appealing with high defense monsters.

The more grounded storyline was what I liked about the Cardfight Vanguard anime. The early episodes were about cracking packs, playing local tournaments and trying to make it to nationals. But they couldn't help themselves and added the magical powers later. Then world-endangering stakes after that.

As for the Blue-Eyes dating joke mentioned: I know this isn't entirely related to the question, but it was awesome. The feeling when the person you're dating also likes to learn the games you play is amazing. I can't count on my hands anymore the times where she's sat down and talked with me about fun strategies, since neither of us pay any attention to the meta or what cards are banned, and just sort of goof around with fun decks. The main reason I thought of this is because the first deck I ever made in these fun times was a Blue-Eyes deck.

From everything I've read about it, VRAINS might be the best series of it all. But I'm not sure how much difference it makes when the comparison is with old arse shows for 8 year olds. I think it's worth giving it a try if you're a fan

The title hurts because I quit two days ago. I tried to get into competitive yugioh for 2 and a half years now but everything points back to my mental health being so poor that even if I put 100% effort forth I wont get anywhere or find many decks enjoyable. That being said st least it's funny and relatable. Keep up the good work. Wish I could stand alongside the community...

To be fair Yuga's gripes about how the game became less fun due to all the overcomplicated BS and as a result potential new players don't even give it a chance, and OG players just quit are legit complaints. And those complaints are why he made the Rush Duel format in the first place.

False: god cards was not a disappointment. And still ain't. We still use cards that copy their power or are from their support section. Like sphere mode. And the gods are getting more support. Ra first obelisk should be second then slifer last. Be prepared.

I think Slifer and Ra should get support, with Slifer literally relying on the cards of your hand (meaning if you have 0-2 cards you are dead, and Ra relying on the monster's Atk/Def) Obelisk is decent since it's summoning requirements are actually reasonable, having a 4K Atk monster on the just by getting rid of 3 cards is awesome.

8:19 actually I’d have to say the difference is that one makes the destruction effect optional and the other makes it mandatory. Meaning you have to destroy 2 cards your opponent cards. The difference of you saying ‘You can destroy 2 monsters your opponent controls’ instead of just saying ‘Destroy 2 monsters your opponent controls’ lies solely on how the phrasing makes it sound. Edit: Also the Winged Dragon of Ra Sphere Mode still sees play for the same reason Kaijus did.

1:20 I know where you're coming from but I'm not so sure if that was the point. Yu-Gi-Oh is supposed to be a children's card game, right? We know who actually plays it but the idea is to market to kids. Well, a lot of kids hate taking baths (just like a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh players but I digress) so I think what they were going for is parents buying this for their kids who love Yu-Gi-Oh products but hate bathing to try and get the kid to bathe more.
