What does "blanks" mean (e.g. jet blanks DPE)?

@@EloffMusketeer Because Jet prevents your cards from being Destroyed by card effects, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer doesn't do anything meaningful in the matchup since its only form of dispution is to destroy your cards.

Not really, but it's not part of the core of the deck. There's not really anything else that searches any spell/trap naturally within the engine of the deck.

Stay hydrated, write out your decklist beforehand, and don't be afraid to call a judge. They can give you time extensions.

It's typically easier to go second if your opponent doesn't have much interruption since you don't have to build a board if you just kill your opponent, so that may be contributing to why you have an easier time going second. Overall though, being able to set up without having to deal with an established board is a very strong advantage that you should be taking as often as possible.

Setting spell/traps from deck isn't as effective in that deck. That's the primary reason you play Heavenly Prison. Protecting set cards is secondary and doesn't come up as much when you also have Jet doing the same thing. No, because they don't clash. Nadir locks you out of the extra deck for the *rest* of the turn.

@@mojo873 I know about Nadir, I was more talking about punishment! But by the time I see Punishment I should already have a mirrorjade or something out tbf. Also I forgot Heavenly Prison banishes, oops. Yeah the other deck definitely doesn’t want to banish the Tenyi trap for no reason

@@justinterrell7020 Punishment is a trap card that you'd be using during the opponent's turn, so it doesn't impact that combo you'd be doing during your turn. Worst case scenario where you're playing with no engine, you can send Chimerafflesia off of punishment to search Fusion Deployment and then summon a Blue-Eyes.

@@mojo873 this is true! I love Fusion Deployment in this deck its just a free Blue Eyes to field. I wonder if I can meme and bait someone to ash the deployment because Id be getting a FREE BLUE EYES and then just pop TTT and Branded Fusion 😂😂😂 probably not

@@justinterrell7020 Well you don't reveal the Fusion Monster for cost, and given the fact that it can summon Fallen off Albaz from the deck as well, it's not that weird that people might Ash the card

You have Infinite Impermanence and Skill Drain in the main deck for the birds. Dimension Shifter is very difficult to play through. Going second, you side in the 3 Evenly Matched.

Stone of Ancients, Jet, Albaz, and most of the fusions are Dragons! You can summon Tyrant using Ultimate Fusion, the effect of Albion, and the effect of Lubellion!

@@mojo873 I misread the card and thought it was only summonable by "tributing a blue eyes equipped with a fusion monster". But I see now that it was only one of two options lol. Thanks a lot for responding!

Lots of ways, actually lol Mirrorjade effect, Tyrant attacking over it, Super Poly, Tactics taking the Dragoon, the Blue-eyes monsters attacking into it, Fleur negating it, Heavenly Prison crashing into it, etc

I've played that card in the past! If Invoked was more popular, I might end up playing it again.

There is no major benefit to having Blue-Eyes White Dragon in your hand in this build.

@@mojo873 well yeah, but you mentioned discard fodder as to why to play ancients. The EP seems like the least necessary time to get a Blue Eyes anyways, and the add back doesn't seem to do much in this list either. So I just figured that Legend would be a good way to get a Blue Eyes in rotation on your turn. I mean, am i just forgetting about something?... that wasn't rhetorical, I'm genuinely curious about the choices.

@@camerontheninja9592 I always assume that players are being genuine with their questions, which is why I always answer them seriously. Getting the Blue-eyes in the end phase isn't that much of a detriment since it helps to build your turn 1 board by solidifying it with Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon (this makes it so the opponent can't just drop a Raigeki on you) And you don't actually have to send a stone of Ancients with Branded Fusion. You can just send Jet Dragon directly, so that Jet Dragon can summon itself with its own effect.

@@mojo873 hmm, yeah, misread ancients. But why not run 1 Legend for. The cases that you may need more than 1 discard? You can just send it with Branded Fusion then get GY set up.

@@camerontheninja9592 Because those scenarios are extremely unlikely for the most part. By cutting something to add the stone of Legend, you put yourself in vulnerable positions in other areas.

It's really good against the most common deck in the format, but I don't know what you mean that triple Skill drain, Superpoly, non targeting banish, and several recurring boss monsters is only good against Branded Despia? This deck has a good matchup against most of the top tier decks in the format lol

Think of it this way! If you're not playing Cocytus and Magellanica, you're still playing an Invoked deck. Why would it be any different here? In the same way that cards like Raigeki Break, Karma Cut, and Divine Wrath were replaced by the Invoked Engine as a discard outlet to plus off of stones, you're still playing the same deck with the same interactions, but you're just using newer, more powerful cards to facilitate them. Branded Fusion is effectively just Dragon Shrine, but it also gives you access to a body that can then immediately summon more monsters and give you more offensive pressure. If the Fusion control build was considered a Blue-eyes deck, I don't see why this wouldn't be when it's using the same interactions of Summoning Jet and the vanilla over and over again. In regards to the budget thing, I actually have been wanting to do that for a while! One of the things that was very valuable for me when I got back into the game was Cimo's "budget deck" videos where he'd have decklists that started with 3 structure decks, and an upgrade path to make them more competitive. There's a couple of very affordable decks in the game right now, so it's something I wanted to do to try and bring that back into the community since Cimo has stopped making those kinds of videos. I highly recommend getting 3 of the Albaz structure deck! It's a very strong option for budget players right now!

This deck is like if Kaiba was brought into Modern Yugioh, saw the combo pieces, and decided to brainstorm his work to work against handtraps like the ever-annoying Kuriboh.
