@@xm_heecka.laddder.job_mx5962 stupid ass comment, "UKs being bad at the Internet" do you know how many American people you could refer to as being "bad at the Internet"?
That one scene where Z-one summoned five of them and Yusei deflected them all was RIDICULOUS, one cause he thought what Zone would think cause Zone had his memories, and two because that situation WAS THE PERFECT PLACE TO USE THAT TOTEM TRAP THAT OLD MAN GAVE HIM WAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY BACK IN THE SERIES WHEN HE LEFT PRISON!!! HE NEVER USED IT AT ALL IN THE REST OF THE SERIES!
I know what you mean!! Did they ever print it?! I know they printed some of his cards, curse reflection doll, pyri race map, chrystal skull. I know for a fact that they where printed in recent memory. Did they ever print that totem card? I doubt it. 3 attack negates in 1 card kind of puts Scrap-iron Scarecrow out of business...
All Timelord modern effects: Michion: Halve your opponent’s LP Lazion: Shuffle your opponent’s GY into the deck. Once per turn when your opponent draws, inflict 1000 damage. Gabrion: Shuffle all cards on your opponent’s field into the deck, then they draw a card for each card shuffled into the MAIN deck Raphion: Inflict damage equal to the monster it battled’s ATK Zaphion: Shuffle all spells/traps your opponent controls into the Deck Hailon: if you have less LP, your opponent’s LP become yours Metaion: Return all monsters on field to hand; your opponent takes 300 damage for each Kamion: Shuffle 1 card your opponent has into the deck and inflict 500 damage Sadion: Your LP RISE to 4000 if lower than 4000 Sandaion: Inflict 2000 damage
We also have a Timelord Synchro monster, Progenitor Vulgate! This one is the only one NOT used by Z-ONE, instead used by Eve in the Arc-V manga. Also, can’t forget the support cards (the machine continuous traps)!
@@willnack5315 That's pretty interesting. Does the effect from the syncro real card to the manga different? As, I'm about to look into the card itself after writing this. ^^;;
I like how each of these monsters are OP compared to what came out at the time. It makes since since ZONE traveled from the future. It would be like someone traveling back in time with a modern deck dueling against someone who only has access to the Legend of Blue Eyes card pack (the first one)
Do you know in the past, all of forbidden card can be used. Imagine someone from the past otk u with envoy of the end yatalock combo or exodia with unlimited draw power like pot of greed/graceful charity😂😂
The anime version of Timelords used to be the overpowered shit for years until Don Thousand overpowered crap surpassed him. Try facing these decks on YGOPro around 2013 and you will rage quit
You kept saying "after it destroys a monster by battle" but the effect on the real cards is "if this card battled" and since it cant be destroyed and no one takes damage all the monsters are fine. Time Lords are just very annoying
I didn't know that! That's actually pretty cool. I wonder if any of them are based on a perversion of the Tree of Life? If they aren't could we wind up getting one that is?
So it happened that i was having an anime style duel and my opponent won in the most anime bullshit way, i summuned metaion and guess what...my opponent summoned blackwing fane the stell chain and then special summoned blackwing bora the spear, he attacked directly with fane, changing metaion to defense position, then attacked with bora witch has piercing damage, and scince metaion only blocks battle damage while in attack position it was another direct attack...well screw it! Im only playing dominoes from now on! Metaion was toyed by a 500 attack bird that almost no one uses -_-
Nothing in the effect states it must be in attack position, only that it has battled. So even in defense if he's attack he would bounce your opponents monsters back to their hand. You're an idiot and you can't read or play timelords right
If Gabrion was brought into the actual game I have an interesting effect for it: "After the battle phase, if this card battled, shuffle all monsters in your opponent's hand into the deck. Neither player can respond to this effect's activation." Monsters in the hand are like a representation of extra dimensional beings, such as Ghost Ogre, Ash Blossom, Honest, EXODIA. All of these monsters are/somewhat hand traps, so they can interfere whenever they get the chance. Since Gabrion is based on the Gabriel from Jewish Mysticism, this effect would be perfect: Preventing further interference.
So sorry to point this out, but when you say the effects of the timelords 9-1 (the position of the tree of life) you said that if the timelords destroyed the opponents monster by battle their effects activities, but they just have to battle, no destruction required, but love your content and keep up the good work, also do Cubics please
i love them in link evolution. i farmed for this deck so hard after i beat Zone. of them Raphion is my favorite, because while Michion is great at first (cutting opponents life in half, rather the doing damage he chooses to wither your opponent's lifespan in half, through temporal power, both merciful and deadly) Raphion punishes the openent's attacking intent by damaging thier life with it's own attack. Honestly the 10 first timelords all have a sence of mercy and and saviors to your side, and punishes those with attacking or sneaky intent like for example they can be normal summoned without tribute if you have no monsters. as if to come from the heavens to defend you when you have no one the time maiden's abilities is all about scurrying off to send for help from your timelord allies, possibly in the future (in the deck) each timelord's effects seem to hold soem kind of retraint from smiting monsters with their full power, until things are desperate enough that you called on their god sephylon Sandaion is the only one who comes in with physical power all the time, because he is the warrior, honoring his enemies by showing full powr, but still showing mercy with a set amount of damage after battle, like he could kill a 100 attack monster in glorious battle, but only deal 2000 to you. he will also only come to your aid if your opponent HAS someone threatening you at all. if thier field is empty, you cant normal summon without tribute. hairon is all about balancing and evening odds after you have taken more damage Lazion, while he burns your opponents for drawing against you, has the mercey to revive thier grave yards in turn after he attacks. i think you get the idea though. thier ability to attack but not do battle damage, yet dominate the field through thier temporal power and angelic saviorness just makes them so fun! and sephylon comes in, as thier god, unlocking thier true hysical might in exchange for thier weird effects, in order to doinnate over a foe who has pushed you to this point, as you will notice, he can only be special summoned wen 10 monsters of different names are in your grave, and you shouldnt count the maidens because by now thier in your banished pile thanks to thier effects
"You may notice that the cards that don't exist have a bit broken effects" and now that they exist, the deck has yet to do anything meta relevant. More importantly, Gabrion got hella buffed from Tag Force, it now shuffles all your opponents monsters into the deck, then they draw the amount shuffled. However, if an extra deck monster is summoned, it doesn't let your opponent draw for that, so it's even stronger. I need to rewatch the Z-ONE duel anyway.
A buff in comparison to Tag Force Gabrion, but the Anime version on the other hand was more broken. Anime Gabrion if battled: shuffled all cards your opponent controlled at the end of the Battle Phase, period. Timelords to some degree got nerfed, although the Traps got better
Happy new year Sam!!! This is my favorite archetype ever!!! Please do ancient gears next...!!! PS, their effect activate when they battle not when they destroy a monster by battle...
Cool Vid. But u make a BIG Mistake, the timelordseffects spells: "(...) if this cards battles an Monster (...)". Because an Monster with 0 Atk destroying an Monster is very difficult. But besides this little hinch, the Video was very informativ. I have an Idea for another video theme: what about the Jackknights, as an theme for a next video. thx btw. Happy new year
This video is where I learned about the Tree of Life. Also, 9 months later, all the Time Lords have been printed and are now in the OCG/TCG, and Gabrion's effect is different, where instead it shuffles all cards your opponent controls, and then your opponent draws cards equal to the number of cards returned to the Main Deck
From the future here. All the Timelords have physical printings. Gabrion was buffed, Raphion was reworded but does the same and the others were left the same as Tag Force
I mean yeah, the timelords also have their own series too. There's also Rassalon, Missy, Amelia, Romana, Jenny, Doctor 1-13, The Valeyard, and I'm sure there are several others as well.
That is a very good question, but I guess he got them because he is a genius from the future, and a very intelligent person. But, who knows, maybe he likes Kabbalah a lot ;)
I just so happened to pull out Time Maiden and Lazion, the Timelord from my collection. I never realized that all of the Timelords have yet to be released
Funny thing is I actually own a few of these time lord cards and after learning that z-one uses them kinda makes me wish i had the whole set instead of just a few of the time lord monster cards
2:56- Both you and the card description are saying the the timelord card's owner dosen't take battle damage, but it seems that the wiki \ wikipedia page of this card needs some updating, as it is written there that neither players take battle damage...
Cool trivia on the hidden sephiroth, da'at. This trivia could also go with Zefra Metatron since he has that extra sephiroth (the Zefra orb in the chest) you mentioned.
Always loved the archetype and your videos are fun to watch, but I wanted to point out a few things. They activate their effects when they participate in battle, not when they destroy a monster. God is not an archangel. Also you forgot Temporal Angel as another support card along with the three trap cards in the anime. Keep up the content!
T.Ai strike pairs well with time lords. try running it and see how easy it is to punish opponents for shaving beat sticks or annoying effect monsters with high attack points that aren't immune to being destroyed by battle
Now I get it I was puzzled when I heard that some of the timelord has zero atk but still can destroy a monster by battle thanks to the power of the ultimate timelord aka the last one
I actually thought the faces meant more in some other context like they remesemble the artwork of the faces of their archangel origins or something failing that they were the faces of the team that worked on 5ds with past writers and the creator's facial features being included in said artwork.........but I guess not
This is completely unrelated to Yugioh but now that I know what the Sephirots are and the names of the trees... the entire plot and city names of Tales of the Abyss make so much more sense holy crap.
If you can remember he mentioned arcana Force ex the light ruler and he was based on a fictional tarot card and here's something he probably didn't know about tarot cards they're they also represent the pathway to each sephiroth in the Tree of Life
I want to mention that the eff. get triggered at end of battle phase if it battled a monster, not if it destroy's a monster. that would be hard to do since they have 0 atk, and go to deck during standby phase
Another one of my favorite archetypes. Most of them might have 0 atk and def points, but their abilities still give the impression that you just can't approach them head on, as if they are truely something from another plane of existance. Furthermor, I have a personal liking towards this particular archetype, because it's based on my own people's religion of Judaism. Although I am personally an atheist for multiple reasons, mythologies always fascinated me, and in comparison to other mythologies, Judaism sometimes feels a bit boring in comparison to, say...greek mythology. So, when the makers of Yugioh decide to create an entire archetype of monsters that are based on judaic angles, it feels really cool to me, because it's like someone has took my mythology, and turned into something strange, new, and very awe inspiring 😁. My only complaint about the timelord monsters though, and I'm surprised that it hadn't been brought up in this video... Metaion's face is REALLY super creepy! 😅😂😂😂
I really like your channel and I would like to mention that the "Tree of Life" , is a classic descriptive term for the central mystical symbol used in the Kabbalah in Judaism and somehow from Islam, it's weird how KONAMI inspired all these things from religious culture and set it in Yu-gi-oh trading cards game..
Chrono Shindou Yeah I noticed that, especially when he mentioned the archangels I mean there is no problem for me to inspire some of these angelic characteristics and and illustrate it as a card game ,anyway I am against this kind of unjustified censorship...
