I'm the guy that lost to Volcanic Counter at 12:53 I indeed was not aware of that Card being in the GY. During the Turn I even used Called by the Grave on a Different Monster wich was a huge misplay. GG's Sam we are now 1:1. I hope we get a 3rd match on ranked one Day

One of the weirdest Yu-Gi-Oh archetypes I've seen were the Gunkan Archetype. These sushi looking monsters that double as battleships, and are primarily Aqua Type, Fire Attribute monsters. I do hope that they get a video one day.
That archetype is silly AF and it always makes me laugh when someone is playing it. Makes me feel like Konami could get away with making a card out of absolutely anything and any random object
A lot of the monsters have original names that allude to guns too (Shell is Bullet, Scattershot is Buckshot, Hammerer is Hammer etc) Even the newer one Rimfire is based off of rimfire ammo
6:09 “If you’ve not been interrupted” I can’t imagine any Yugioh player (MD or DL) claiming they’ve managed to get through a first turn with any archetype without being interrupted in some way.
Before anyone asks, Mrs Fontaine/Fonda Faintaine was the actual person to use Bonfire in a duel, she used it to add Burning Algae and then used Magical Stone Excavation to add it back and use it again for another Burning Algae
The funny thing about Volcanic Wall is that when Axel uses it in Duel Links, he refers to it as a continuous trap not a continuous spell which is weird.
The other time Bonfire was used in GX was the Nurse when she was a Duel Ghoul. Speaking of, I pulled a Bonfire once on my first-ever pack from Maze of Millennia.
I wish there could be a Volcanic Fusion Monster that has Volcanic Doomfire as one of its Fusion Materials. It would be so cool if the Volcanic Archetype had at least one Fusion Monster.

I’m not interested in them having any extra deck monsters of their own. Why because that’s not their game plan. It feels out of place to me and makes no sense. I rather Volcanics stick to main deck. Adding generic extra deck cards is fine but I don’t want it.
The ruling is because of “Volcanic Blaze Accelerator”. You can only control one on your field. So “Volcanic Rimfire” needs to check to see if it has another target, because it doesn’t taking into consideration that it’ll remove the “Volcanic Blaze Accelerator” before placing a new blaze accelerator. Albeit different a different, it’s quite similar to the “Lightsworn Lumina” can’t summon from grave, without a Lightsworn already being there, even though you’re going to pitch a Lightsworn from hand to activate the effect.
I remember building this archetype deck when I was younger. This was so badass and I loved Axel from the anime. The new support that it’s getting is well deserved!
I do love Volcanic Shell in my Super Quant deck, as it's very useful discard fodder for a deck that needs to perform at least three discards to summon its boss monster. So having a card that can replace itself in the hand, and it's not a once per turn, is pretty great.
Okay since he didn't mention it: for some reason The Winged Dragon of Ra's support card Blaze Cannon for some reason counts as a Blaze Accelerator (don't ask me why)
Pretty sure it's a translation thing. Like Blaze Accelerator being originally named "Blaze Cannon" in Japanese. So because Ra's signature attack in the anime (and now the actual game) is called Blaze Cannon, that card is linked to the archetype by name alone. Like a reverse Guardian situation where the Guardian archetype would specifically list exceptions like Celtic Guardian because Celtic Guardian is only a Guardian in the romanized TCG; in Japanese, he is Elf Swordsman. Or cards like Summoned Skull and Axe of Despair getting text later signifying them as Archfiend cards because Archfiend in Japan is Daemon and those original card names are Summoned Daemon/Daemon Summon and Daemon Axe.

The funny thing is people saying volcanics wasn't good back in the day never play it against me at my I was beating everyone with my volcanic deck left and right people that Top big tournaments used it for a long time until XYZ came out because then Gravity Bind level limited A and they wasn't cutting it anymore to use that challenge they wasn't good anymore because the XYZ was a thing still fun deck it was but don't miss any of the big tournaments with it because I didn't have a license at the time but good times
I had some great success using the originals in duel links. When i was using them, there was strong anti attack to the point i was sick of it. With the damage still not adjusted at that time, burning 4000 with the volcanics was easy
Id like to think that in universe, Pegasus or someone at Kaiba corp heard of his horribly traumatic backstory and went "hmm that's pretty cool. You can make a deck out of this. Time to grab my paintbrush"
No joke when Yu-Gi-oh first came out I tried to make an exclusively Fire Deck since there were no Fire Type users in the anime at the time, even buying Fire type monsters from a guy at my middle school during assemblies and gym class. But I stopped caring about Yu-Gi-oh as much around the time GX started, thus missed out on Volanics.
For Volcanic Queen, you can use it as an endgame finisher. Summon it to your opponent's field, activate a card that returns cards to their original owner like "Owner's Seal", then attack.
Funniest thing that happened to me while using this deck is my opponent stealing my boss monster and me activating the normal trap card. The one that... you know... deals damage equal to a pyro monster my opponent control... a whole 3100! And that was game!
I have a feeling that the original line would see marginally more play if they doubled the damage they inflicted, to reflect the anime 4k vs irl 8k. Nothing meta breaking, but still interesting concept ^^
I still find it unbelieveable that by technicality it can play "The winged dragon of ra" due to one of it's support cards "blaze cannon" always being treated as a blaze accelerator card

Hammer if it normal summoned / special summoned *_(have effect special summon another volcanic monster from hand, deck or GY)_* but can't special summon except volcanic monster in the rest of this turn *_(each time pyro monster send / banish)_* while this card in the field inflict 200 *_(if "FIRE" monster send to GY)_* inflict 500 *_(if "FIRE" monster send to banish pile)_* ?? 🤔 Then about queen well yeah i guess they posible to name it as Volcanic "True" Queen i guess . . . . 🤔 Have might be better effect with the old one and ekstra easy special summon able like modern kaiju monsters / santaclaws . . . . And perhaps inflict effect demage half of the attack / deffend monster tributed *_(player choose)_* gonna be quite nut . . . . 🤔
I really prefer the Filipino dubbed no exaggerated censorship. Volcanic Bullet, Buckshot, cannon, Devil, hot sauce from wine, America shields a child too much, then what? They still learn about them, too busy to explain things to their children or too awkward?
With how meh, or not worth using V. Queen is, I'm surprised there isn't an upgraded form. Make it: Volcanic Empress. Same lv. As the og, 500 more Atk & Def, and still allow it Kaiju onto your opponents field, but once it's summoned it destroys all other monsters on your opponents field, them create 1 bomb token for each destroyed monster. And at the end of the opponents turn, this card deals 500 DMG per bomb token on the field. And just to make it even meaner, it can't be tributed away or be destroyed by spell/traps. (Preventing the opponent to get rid of it easily, it still can be sent to gy, and affected by monster effects)
2 card combo 1 of which is totally unsearchable making the FTK extremely inconsistent and luck dependant. 5 in 40+ chance of drawing the fire ejection in the opening.
Thats a nice 2 card FTK you got there, would be a shame if there was an archetype mostly consisting of Level 1 Pyros that could reduce it to a stupidly consistent 1 card FTK. Haha nah that could never be a thing, anyway, normal summon Snake Eye Ash?
Volcanic Counter is best boy, I can't even count how many duels I've won when that boy activates 3 times, oh you think you can beat me with your 2800 Monster? Nah, you take 8400 damage yourself.
It feels like GX is getting the most love for newest support, I see them more than any other series. Can we get Red Dragon Archfiend Fiend, I know you've done the dragon, but not the cards that support RDAF
The vulcanic otk combo is everything wrong in the current game in a nutshell. Combos that take 20 minutes and disallow your opponent to even take part in the game unless he has some handtraps ready or started first to pull of his otk combo. Fun... I think we have reached a point in Yu gi oh were its not a game anymore. But only a "Who has the most broken combo turn 1" comparison.

Would it be possible to find a listing of the deck you used for the FTK, as I can't seem to find one that has the cards and numbers of them line up right in any of the ones I find (i.e. you deck appears to have just 1 volcanic rocket, but the closed one I've found has 3).
so before the new volcanic cards hit maeter duel i did win a duel using counters effect my opponent had 500lp i had 8000 still while i had 2 solar flare dragon on board he finally wipes out my board then hits me for 7900 and the counter in grave that i had completely forgotten about triggers i wont lie i sometimes wish master duel let you chat with your opponent
I was totally surprised when i saw the new video and immidiately watched it. I like the volcanic archetype very much and just love the new support. But `m a little sad that they didn`t gave my little buddy volcanic rat a retrained version as well. He deserves to be a part of that archetype. If someone sees that like I do, please give the little cute rat an effect.
