A very good Yuel to watch is "I-Yo" from Japan. He often streams on youtube (4-5hrs), and he uses the stance a lot both for Oki and setups. He is really really fun to watch.

hey y'all. i bought gbvs alongside Yuel and Narmaya and im still a beginner, thanks for uploading this video man! i came from DB FighterZ so this'll be a good change
You make the best guides by far! Super thorough, video examples and the powerpoint helps a ton too, thanks for your work! Any advice on the best way to practice? Covid is keeping me away from any local stuff and none of my friends play.
Thanks! Most of us play online. If you don't have access to that there is training mode + replay review. I try to split my time evenly between online games and training + match review
@@NateMurdah I think either is fine - dpeends what your learning style is. Usually its easier to find opponents of skill of same skill level in evenings in lobbies tho (look for colored squares)
Hey man, nice guide!! Could you make a video on the new/different things in rising? I have just been watching high level matches of yuels to figure out good practices. Don't know if there are really that many differences tbh.
Hey Diaphone, i have a question about a combo, can you check my recent vid on yuel and tell me if its practice for a safe jump? Or should i stick to regular things? Its only about 11 secs or so i think
Yea you get a safejump after sweep. (Cancel sweep into dodge) You can test just by setting the dummy to DP. I think 1 hit 5H xx stance is one of her best stance cancels - so that route is optimal too.
Awesome. Looking to pick the game up and Yuel was looking to be my main, this cinches that decision. Great guide and thanks a ton for your work. Just wondering.. any chance of a Narmaya guide at some point?
Might be awhile, I think she hardest character in the game. There a few dedicated narm players since she came out, hopefully I can convince one of them to make a guide instead lol
@@Diaphone makes sense, lol. My understanding of, and time with the game is extremely minimal but she definitely seems like she's in a league of her own. Yuel looks amazing and quite fun. Beelzebub looks like a lot of fun as well, though I don't really "get" him yet. Anyway, again, awesome guide, thank you for the response and I look forward to watching you kick ass.
so if someone blocks a 236l and u go into stance and they mash lows after u cant beat that with doing stance 5m right? since its not low invuln til frame 10. is that correct? im having trouble incorporating stance into my gameplay outside of footsies with pokes because im finding people just tend to press lows where i would want to cancel a special into stance.
@@Diaphone right. so i would suppose my options to beat someone mashing 2l after a blocked 236l are flip dp and just block. i definitely feel it when u said slowly integrate stance. as someone new to gbvs but not the fgc ive been doing fine without it but i know its another layer i need to sprinkle in as i go. will just have to get a feel for it. thanks for the reply diaphone!
Check out the couple of vids in the description. I think Gran, Kat, Djeeta are very good beginner characters. But I think you should play who you like, most characters in this game are pretty easy to learn. Yuel pretty easy, just don't use stance lol
I watched one of your nlbc matches and there was a combo you did where you used 236H and was able to connect 2H after the wall bounce. How did you do that? Is it the spacing?
Pretty much the same - 5M took a nerf so you cant really delay cancel into 236L anymore to frametrap (and it can whiff more/is punishable on block). Other than that - yea you good
Yea it is. Only differences are 5m isnt quite as good as it was before (harder to hitconfirm, can't frametrap as easy, more - on block), and you can't really AA with 5H anymore, other than that yea its good still.
