not to mention the touch of reality he brings to the table, referring to how the 4 Iliaster members are all already dead, just like pegasus was the fact that he references his talk *with* pegasus from his own event is incredible because this means that these events *are* happening on a linear timeline and there *is* a plot to this game, no matter how subtle.
The fact that most of them acknowledge their defeats against the 5ds team and instead of wanting revenge they seek to change the course of fate shows how much the antagonist had grown. I love that
Paradox just casually confirming there indeed are two timelines: one with Pegasus (anime timeline) and one without him (manga timeline) and Duel Links is on the middle of both
Yugi and Yami mention that Pegasus went missing after Duelist Kingdom at the end of the Bonds Beyond Time event, revealing an alternate timeline since he's okay in Pyramid of Light, Season 4, GX, and obviously Bonds Beyond Time.
Z-One’s interaction with Dark Signer Kalin really is something. Z-One wants to destroy everything but he doesn’t want Kalin to relish in it. It’s kind of funny in a way in a weird ironic way.
Z-one interaction with Dark Singer is fascinating & his ally is amazing to see interact Also Z-one interaction with Primo/Placido, he about to piss his mechanical pant when he meet Z-one
Since no one's mentioning it, i really like Primo's interaction because it shows him truly afraid for once. And what he truly is; a machine built to carry out a purpose. nothing more nothing less. which is exactly how Z-ONE sees him and treats him. but seeing him realize this and fear nonexistence is...cathartic, almost.
Primo essentially malfunctioning was unexpected. His interactions with the other survivors are usually just being above them, but here he's actually afraid.
the line with Goodwin was interesting. Instead of being in his own craziness like Kalin and Carly or still in his own ideaks, he mentionated his brother and how he was defeated. Also, the lines with Aporia and Paradox was really good too, my favourite this last one being with the "multiverse" thing.
It just goes to show the difference between DS Carly and Kalin vs the others. The real Carly and Kalin are still alive so those two are just memory-npcs. Rex on the other hand is really in there, and he reacts to Z-one accordingly.
Paradox is much calmer than the ones I remembered in Bonds Beyond Time. Looks like the defeat was the catalyst for him to look into further perspective of the timelines
I really like how Duel Links adds to the characters, for someone who really like some, seeing something more of them, something that is not the same thing as the anime but a complement to that. The writing team did a incredible job with not only Z-one but others as well
The confusion when Zone saw DS Kalin, wondering what dafuq is he doing here when he’s supposed to be non existent, was so funny to me. “You no longer exists” “You’re a ghost that just won’t go away!” Oh Zone…. the irony. Paradox’s interaction is my favorite. Having to explain to him of other universes, a nexus (BELIEVE IN NEXUS!! 🎶) and how Pegasus is alive in one world (anime) but dead in the other (manga) but both versions exist in DL. None of what happened to him in the movie changed him to side with Team 5Ds and co but yeah he’s well aware of what happened to him and everyone else. Settle it with a card game to determine the fate of the world. Oh Aporia 😭
Man primo/placido is such a great character Even though he was programmed with the gole of powering the circuit hes defiant and does it his own way but seeing him actually scared foe once is great and actually admitting it
Greiger/Bommer’s cards like that SKY FIRE monsters and it’s reactors exists in the game. Wonder why they didn’t bother adding him or his Dark Signer counterpart, kind of sad since I liked him in the anime 😢
@@Debater Dark Signers happened even in Z-One's original timeline it was how Yusei became known as a legendary hero though who they were is unknown the roster could have been different
@@BillPlunderbonesTew8 I'm aware, but Z-ONE actively changed how things went down, in the hopes that they'd change the future. That was a terrible idea, given they're the *Dark Signers.*
I really want them to do interaction between characters from different shows. Imagine Arc-V Jack interact with 5ds Jack 🤣 The same for Kaito, Edo, Asuka 😅 Also there's xyz, links and pendulums 😅
Bueno, técnicamente sí, ya que fue él quien dividió a Aporia en tres personalidades. Para ser más preciso, él SÍ conoce a Primo, pero no éste a él, al menos no individualmente, pero como Aporia sí lo recuerda.
Interestingly enough, Rex Godwin is the only Dark Signer that realises he already lost. The other two are acting like typical crazies. Despite being a Dark Signer, he has his end of the duel mindset from when he went to the afterlife with his brother. If it wasn't for Z-ONE, Roman Godwin would have never lost his mind and gone crazy, abd would never have had to entrust his brother with locating all the signers. The dark signers wouldn't even exist. So understandably Rex has every right to take down Z-ONE. He's the reason his brother and him are currently the way they are.
It’s possible that since the DS versions of Kalin and Carly are separate entities but Godwin isn’t that by the rules of Duel Links and memory, they’re treated as separate memories. The second they lost, the other versions are created, but in Godwins case he has no other self, so he retained his memories. That, or perhaps due to how he had a signer mark, he retained more of himself when the memories converged to allow his return.
Well Dark Kallin is the incarnation of his anger and thirst of destruction and Dark Carly is the incarnation of her delusions of a fate entrusted by the Earthbound Immortals.
Goodwin is different from the Dark Signers. He’s a Signer and a Dark Signer at the same time, and he has no intention of following either path. His goal was to achieve the power of a god in order to reshape a world where the battle between Signers and Dark Signers won’t be repeated anymore. He didn’t go mad like the other Dark Signers, even if he was drunk by power. He’s in full control of himself.
Z-one is the true leader of Iliaster, who through the result of time travel fuckery caused all the major plot events of the series to happen in the first place. He is the one responsible for screwing with everyone's lives by causing the catacllysmic Zero Reverse to happen, and stringing along the war between the Signers and Dark Signers, all so he could find a way to save his own future from being destroyed out of despair. Ironically, though, he put all these insane plans into motion because he still held on to a sliver of hope deep down that somehow, someway, he could undo all the damage done to his own future by destroying Yusei's timeline. Unfortunately, now that Duel Links has confirmed that the multiverse is a thing, it also confirms that everything Z-one did was for nothing, because his timeline is just one of many possible futures, meaning nothing he did, tried to do, or could have done would have prevented his own timeline's inevitable destruction.
@@joeyblum2533 Z-one is the one behind spurring Roman into causing the event. He sent the Three Emperors to that timeline, and they contacted Roman through one of their proxies, saying he was destined to activate the Ener-D when he wanted to continue research on it while Yusei's dad wanted to abandon the project.
@@vulcan422 So I suppose Jakob, Primo, and Lester are the people Roman met in Peru despite the fact Roman claims he met "a man from Iliaster", referring to only one?
Yeah this was already mentioned way back in the Paradox event where you have him talk with Pegasus. Pegasus reveals he's the one from the original manga not the anime which makes Paradox learn about the multiverse.
