Probably the 1000th person to say this but: DO NOT give opponent Fanatix, they can still use its effect to pop and burn you. Instead detach Strings from Dark Strings and then use field spell effect to summon it to opponents field or link off for Chimera first and detatch from Giant Grinder when you make it to summon Strings.
yeah there used to be several 2 card combo lines that got you to an FTK but now you need to hard open either the field spell, terraforming, or set rotation (if running Horus variant.)
@@AinekoLPyou can because you detach in cost number 40 and at the moment you can activate the effect of field because you have valide target, in resolution you can target number 40
The thing is that without the field spell the deck cannot achieve an ftk in a consistent way. Even with the fiend knight that will be released, the best you can do is literally 7900 damage, sounds strange but it is the truth. You can simply count the maximum amoutn of dmg you can do without the field spell is: 1) by popping your monster that now you can only do once: 3100 dmg, 2) with giant grinder: 1500 by eating fantasix and 3300 by eating c40; so the maximum damage is (3100+1500+3300). Furthemore there are no valid lines with number 88 and c88 with two cards and without field spell. Maybe it will exist an ftk line with fiend knight and 88 that requires you 3 cards, but in any case is too inconsistent and fragile, so basicallly the deck is not playable anymore in competitive tournamets.
I'm not sure. Right now the burn sequence for FTK requires 2 C40 burn (1 from ED, 1 from Baby bringing it back) and 1 N15 burn. Since only N40 can put String counters on your own monsters, this means that in order to have 2 C40 pops, you need to give your opponent 2 monsters (1 for C40 #1 to place string and #2 to pop, and 1 for N15 pop+burn). Right now there is only Field Spell and R9 Macinix that can do that.
give them Number 40 instead; also, it's literally less convoluted then the normal way of doing it atm with two 40 and c40, it only requires you to detach one more time from Machinex
you still need two copies for the FTK just in case and as I said many times this FTK it's not that good as it one's was also with out back up copies will ur going to struggle regardless still cool profile FTK is ok I guess just my opinion
it kills any non field spell FTK possibilities and ones with field spell loses to 1 interaction (yes, there are interactions that work under field spell). That is doing a whole lot actually.
@@Latias38 Imperm, Ash vs Rouge Doll, Droll, Bystials, Crow, Nib (not to wipe the Puppet player's board, but to get rid of their pop+burn target(s)), Belle, just to name a few that aren't overly specific.
Once again, THANKS FOR NOTHING KOMONEY. Please all the big names in the community take control of the game and dictate the banlist yourselves. It can't be worse than this.
It should still be possible just a little harder since you don’t get the advantage of the field spell plus the extra summon off of it. Even then you can play set rotation or terraforming to open into it a lot easier
@@d.dankey1168 it's not "just a little harder". Without multiple copies of C40 you need to use Grinder on an XYZ monster, and you are already using both methods of giving your opponent a monster in this deck (field spell and Rank9 Macinx). It's not possible to FTK without Field Spell unless you play some weird ass card that somehow gives your opponent a monster from your graveyard which is basically just bad deckbuilding. Deck is literally even more field spell or die now, since it can't put up any meaningful board by 2024 standard if you don't FTK.
It sucks that they could've given puppets a far more control-y playstyle or grindy playstyle but they picked an ftk and knew the tcg and ocg would flip shit.
