Yuja is amazing to the point of beyond human. Her hands and fingers move faster and more accurately than ... light. I started watching her performances about a year ago and haven't stopped since! She throws her entire being into her performances, her musical talent and gifted hands, and her entire body. The performance becomes a veritable workout for her. The eighth wonder of the world.
I can not stop watching her since I started a few days ago! And BTW I looked her biography up and today is her 36th birthday February 10th 2023! Happy Birthday YUJA WANG!!! Your fingers just dance so easy on those keys!
@@margaretlavender9647: The meaning of 'athlete' is wider than just 'sportsman/woman.' In terms of muscular coordination, mental strength and bodily fluidity, Yuja qualifies (in my book) as athletic . . .
Nel secondo movimento si può notare la grande sensibilità di interpretazione di Yuja Wang abbinata ad una tecnica senza uguali penso lei sia veramente un Dono di Dio
All the hoopla about athletes is put to shame by this unparalleled genius at the keyboard 🎹! She is the one who really should be making $500,000,000 a year for her performances … far exceeding someone hitting 60 home-runs in a season or basketball players averaging 30 points a season. All fail before her keyboard majesty with those invisible flying fingers … hail to Yuja Wang 🙌🙌🙌🎹
Her singular blend of technical prowess, keen musical insight, and emotional depth have established Yuja Wang as one of the world’s finest performers. "Charismatic", "breathtaking", "flawless" and "heartfelt" are just a selection of the superlatives used frequently by critics worldwide. 9:06 Source: Medici tv
An excerpt from "bachtrack": "she can traverse the keyboard from end to end, shaping dynamics and adding rubato, with the perfect evenness unbroken. She can produce a pianissimo down to a whisper, so perfectly articulated that you can hear every nuance even in the giant space of Albert Hall...Wang does things that other pianists can't."
Liszt was the "top dog" of the pianists in his time, was rich and made a fortune playing. In my humble opinion, however, his works are not, with rare exceptions, exceptional. He envied Chopin secretly (or nor so secretly) because he pulled out of his soul, in a few minutes, music with a quality that Liszt couldn't even dream of. But Liszt was the best piano player. This concerto is, in my opinion, typical Liszt. Lots of fireworks and a few melodies. Yuja, amazingly (or not so amazingly, because she is already amazing) turns this work in something better. Very specially the 2nd movement, the slow one, that many pianists churn out boringly, she manages to turn it into a poem of utmost beauty and sensibility. Heard it twice to be sure and felt "envouté" as the French say, as I can't find the word in English. Long live Yuja.
Nonesense. Liszt was the original. Chopin envied Liszt's interpretations. Chopin was quite conservative, liszt was the innovator and transcendental composer.
Liszt loves Chopin don’t be assuming like you were there he wrote about him explicitly that he loves his work and Lizst gave up playing to teach music a much higher purpose the FUTURE!
So this approaches Eminem. When you are great, greatness is expected. And I think that is what you are saying. When you say "not so impressively" it's not a dig in any sense of the word but just that excellence is normal in the world of greats like Eminem or Yuja or Victor Wooten (yes, covered rap/lyricist, symphonic, and jazz right there)
I adore Yuja, she plays excellent! But don’t forget the giants: Cziffra, Richter, Kocsis and numerous others, playing that piece on highest niveau! Wang’s is one of them, but not THE best!
Thank you so much Yuja, I really really enjoyed watching you playing so fantastically and with such amazing passion and sensitivity too. You look as always absolutely stunning and gorgeous too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤
A mix of arm rotation with the activation of the lat muscles in the back, in order to not tire the arm, plus it gives you extreme control over your octaves, with no real tension, this coupled with a careful movement and overall rotation of the torso with respect to where you play on the keyboard makes piano quite enjoyable, and somewhat easier after getting used to the movements.
Check Martha Argerich for the same piece;) you will not be disappointed at all, expecially if you like octaves haha ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FQqQcWoTPaU.html
She is absolutely MAGNIFICENT! She’s one of the greatest pianists ever! Her brilliant virtuosity leaves me speechless. Her chemistry with this orchestra is pure magic.
She’s a very charismatic performer. However, Sviatoslav Richter’s recording of the two Liszt Concertos with the LSO from 1962 is far more nuanced. I think he was in his late 40s when it was recorded for Philips. I have had the vinyl early pressing since the mid 1970s. I took it into a hifi shop to demo on a top end system and they couldn’t believe the recording quality and dynamics. Born on March 20, 1915 and died on August 1, 1997 Sviatoslav Teofilovich Richter (Russian: Святослав Теофилович Рихтер, born in (Zhytomyr, Russian Empire, now Ukraine) was a Soviet pianist and widely recognized as one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. He was well known for the depth of his interpretations, virtuoso technique and vast repertoire. I’m sure she will mature to his final level to become one of the best from the 21st century and hopefully still has her best years ahead of her.
What a Brilliant performance! . Yuja is stunning + wears gorgeous gowns...... Must take tons of practicing +a great memory to perform this way!!....... Very moving piece...
MIND BOGGLING....SHE CAN PLAY A PIECE FOR THE FIRST TIME AS IF SHE HAS PLAYED IT 101 TIMES.....THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR HER TECHNIQUE AND PASSION.....ONCE IN A LIFETIME PIANIST....SO GLAD I WAS ABLE TO WITNESS THIS PERFECTION....I'LL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN IN MY LIFE TIME.....
She is the hottest classical Pianist ever forever, its not so distracting to see her performance ; that stunning blend between piano virtuosity and natural beauty, she is a complete performer.
To Liszt belongs the actual discovery of pianistic vibrato, a new exhilarating octave-technique, the new style of bravura passages, brilliant arpeggios, accurate note or chord repetition technique. His aim was to reach the highest degree of virtuosity possible. 13:31 Source: Mundoclasico
This vastly talented and finely tuned artist lifts the performance of the entire orchestra. Bliss! The camera work is extraordinary, adding immensely to the entire experience of this performance. Thank you, Alexei Smith, for posting this amazing video. The joy this is bringing to so many in this world is inspiring.
Mesmerizing? - The play of the Chinese woman or the naked thighs on display? Mesmerizing? - The play of the Chinese woman or the naked thighs put on show?
@@beckerhanshermann8372 For all your claims against Yuja, you sure do spend a lot of your time stalking her videos on yt and especially commenting on her appearance. You may want to talk to a therapist as this level of obsession really isn't healthy.
@@cjames0723 Mind your own business. Yuja is an utterly idiotic dresser. No doubt about it. Never before seen anything like it on a concert platform so we can criticise all we want, thank you very much CJAMES.
Yuja Wang, eres la mas exquisita manifestación humana de la magnificencia del Divino Creador ,que tanto te ha engalanado y embellecido con sus dones..!!! y que tan generosamente nos los entregas, para tu bendición y nuestro deleite!!!. Muchas gracias !!!
How positively magnificent! This is even better than, and a variation of the original I heard her play in the Chinese Concert Venue. This Maturity she has added is staggeringly effective. To be completely unbiased, both are great, though I favour this recording. Yuja and her beautiful nature never lets anyone down, ever.
Wonderful concerto. The brilliance of the composer Liszt and the performance of the princess Yuja is fantastico. 羽佳我愛你,我崇拜你。
The pianist has brought all her with the accompaniment of the very good orchestra conducted brilliantly by the conductor. Enjoyable every moment in all the tempo's. Thanks to you all.
Looking forward for the REPLAY event, fans are invited to come back and enjoy the magic all over again, let them gifted musicians entertain you some more, wishing adorable Yuja hundred years more like this on the top of the world oh yezzzzzz, that's what fans are for
An absolutely splendid performance. 2:26 She does this cantabile light passage so nicely like nobody. 8:56 Done so masterly. 15:42 oh what timing. Even her trills are so clear. OMG too many things to rave about!! This orchestra is great too. I wonder what or where it is. They and Wang go together perfectly..
She got my name Wang # 王 and she is 8 months younger than my son. She has been playing at KKL where I can walk from my flat (in Luzecern # Luzern, Emmenbrucke) in Switzerland.
