Might take a combination of skills, which apparently aren't lacking, and also a fortunate series of events like it happened for Gasly at Monza. Either way I would also like to see Yuki on at least that podium.
@@mcbalaban , and im sure, Honda help him with that.....when everything on engine side works, why not.....😆. At the end of the day, Tsunoda team have managed impressive start. This is not to see often with F1 newbies.
I was shocked to see Aston Martin leave him out on his first set of tires for so long, his pace started dropping and they still kept him out until he had nothing left in the tires.
The braking, guys. The braking. It is an form of art to him. Everyone he passed looked like they were wearing Doc Martens. The most deserved seat of the new guys, without a doubt.
I notice in the GP highlights, truly art of braking late! Fantastic way of driving! Amasing future, please Mr Yuki choose always the right teams!!! Stay safe!
What i find funny is that he's a rookie , also the smallest pilot among them , the youngest among them , smallest salary 1/300 of Hamilton's lol . And yet when you listen to him he sound like a guy who's in his 10 th season already :) Well you can hear the excitement during some overtaking also , which is amazing really , such a nice new addition to Formula 1.
@@avishek438 he's had one incident this year that was his fault where he broke his front wing, now look at Perez, Sainz, Leclerc or nearly any other driver and tell me how Tsunoda is currently error prone and they're not
@@samuelhubert7224 People often seem to forget about Max since he's now in his 7th Season... considering he's now 23 Years Old, having had his Debut at 17. But in the meantime, people like Sainz who just recently got in the Spotlight (since his Mclaren Days for Sainz' case) are considered "Young Talents" at the age of 26, almost 27.
@@sylvainmonfort And you literally did not watch the race. Red Bull was faster all weekend long. Also, Ferrari was faster in 2017 and 2018. Oh, and the Regulations are changing next year. So it's likely that Mercedes will not be Dominant anymore. But hey, not my fault that you're butthurt.
well if the whole season goes like this it really looks like it´s time... I like him but it really looks like his consistency and pace are leaving him alongside his hairline
Level headed, calm, talented and right on the pace. That guy, despite his young age, will be a force to be reckoned with. Absolutely deserved his place in Formula 1.
Can't blame him for the first laps. He is very much still learning how different Formula 1 is to Formula 2. I think the fact that he picked himself up and got up into the points after that is a testament to him in itself. Great Debut!
His getaway from the line was poor but that happens even to very experienced drivers sometimes... that is something that can easily be fixed and worked on. What is impressive is how quick and clean he is, and also making sure he stays out of danger. Take 0:12 for example, obviously backing out was the best thing to do and any experienced driver would do that. But many rookies are a bit too risky and maybe would have kept their foot in it there and ended up being pished off the track and then moaned about not being given space when they should have just backed out anyway and save their own race. Impressive debut, cant wait to see more of him!
! Second this. And what a line-up they have to stirr up the rest of the midfield. Alpha Tauri is the team i find myself to root for the strongest this year. Enjoy the season
From those polished overtakes to his great attitude to learning on track from his heroes even to his wholesome bond with his race engineer, everything about Tsunoda's debut was ICONIC
I'm back here after the great season he's having. Yuki is a real talent. The least races entering f1. He could be world champion material in a race winning car
I honestly was punching the air in excitement for that one, that was a Honey Badger, latest of the late brakers type move. This dude has superb racecraft for someone so young. Agressive but still in control. Top lad.
@@asyraafroslan5924 fancy sponsoring me? There are 500,000 views on this video. If everyone gave me €100, I'd have €50,000,000. Should be enough to buy my way in 😂
@ etc MCLHmp4:6 So what's about that? Verstappen had just one year experience in formula cars when he debuted. Kimi drove just 23 races in rookies series.
@@puyomas2 whats the guy’s nationality gotta do with his comment... im not supporting him bc yuki obviously has the skills as shown in his overtakes but cmon man show a little respect
He says late braking is one of his biggest strength. I watched a Japanese documentary of him practicing late brake when he was a kart driver(his father privately trained him). These real talented drivers doing something special from beginning. Amazing.
"fantastic race, we are going to have fun this year!" Yuki plays it cool but come on, after that performance on a debut race, we all know hes going to be the one to watch as we head into the new regs. How he keeps the car so tidy with such late braking....just so fun to watch
agreed, i mean one race is not much to go, but the car looked like it was steered by an experienced driver who knows when to go for the gap, and when to be patient.
This. Yuki really impressed me the most out of anyone in the recent years. Only one Year of F3, only one year of F2. Competetive in both, even being P3 in the end in F2. And now this - in a really strong looking Alpha Tauri. Mark my words, he'll get one - if not even more Podiums this year. He needs a tiniest amount of time to get used to a car, as seen in Q1 where he just blasted to P2, and after some bad luck in Q2 such a recovery drive. He already has enough confidence as a driver as you can see by his late braking in Turn 1. Definitely World Champion material for the future. I can't wait to see him fighting for titles with Russell, Norris, Schumacher & co.
@@tayuno I was aware of his talent even before the start of the season. Many didn’t knew what he’s achieved so far in his career. But he has already shown, why he is one of the best talents in recent years, perhaps up there with Charles and George. He might not be up there with Pierre, but the Alpha Tauri looks incredibly strong and they both will be fun to watch this year. I bet that they’ll impress many the next race in Imola, as they’ll have an advantage over every other team, because they used this track for filming and testing. Let’s hope for a great result for both of them
@@v4le69 I was aware of it before the season started as well. Just watching the 2020 F2 Season was enough of a proof of his talent. But yea, let's see what happens next race. As you mentioned, they have an advantage due to their filming days, but they also were strong in Imola last year.
If you use text to speech, it tells you what it means. Also, I have started learning Japanese, but it’s really hard for me to remember the Kanji symbols.
He sure have so much potential, very calm and confident for his age and he looks to be a very friendly guy! Amazing to see, hope he does a great first season
Future legend overtaking 3 legends in his debut race. Yuki said his father took him to F1 Japan gp when he was 7(or 8) and saw Alonso for the first time and became his idol. Now yuki is racing with them. What an emotional moment for him.
He's finished in P9 and scored his first points in F1, but he actually apologized his poor start and first lap. He's not satisfied at all. We can expect more to come from him!

The right mentality!!! We can wait a bright future on him
I think he will be grateful for that cautious start after a few more races... Getting those laps really matters at this stage, taking larger risks comes when he has more experience.
I became a fan of Yuki after following the last season of F2. He's got some serious talent. I'm still waiting for the next Aussie world champion. However, it would be great to see a Japanese world champion too!
Imagine when I tell you that the car Sebastian is driving is completely different than the Ferrari in every way, from the engine, to the chassis, to the aerodynamics and it’s slower than the alphatauri, but now after Sebastian is getting used to it look how the turntables have changed
@@johnsmith1474 And how exactly it is any of your concern who do I know? Is it going to take away my permission to praise them if I don't know any? How tf is that relevant with anything?
