Don't fret over it, this game is very simple, so picking up characters is pretty easy. Most of them, if not all, share the same type of inputs like in fighterz, and combo structure is also pretty linear as well. You can pick any character and do stuff like: auto combo > H skill that let's you hit afterwards > auto combo > H skill that wall bounces > pick-up > ender For anti air you can do 2H > light version of lunging special and pick-up with auto combo and go from there, and on midscreen you can even convert hits with the diamonds. The game is very basic (which is not a bad thing), so you can think of the things I said as a rule of thumb and it'll work out with almost every character. I love how good her buttons feel to hit. She has some obvious weaknesses. Her pressure is nutty. I still think Narmaya is the most fun character to play, but Yuel feels incredible when you get that hit confirm after baiting someone to whiff. @sajam kills it with her stance. I still struggle with using Yuel's stance. Gamera plays yuel without ever using her stance, so its not a must, but I like to think its important to get the stance down.
dunno if you'll play this character more but one small thing i noticed trying her out is letting both hits of ur 2H rock before going into foxflame makes ur anti-air combos a lot more consistent
That’s intended, but Sajam is just too used to 1 hitting 2H’s. So it’s really hard to break that muscle memory once it gets going and you switch characters with different properties.
Hi, I’m the Lowain. I remember joking that you were Sajam but it turns out you actually were lol. GGs, I agree that you would’ve absolutely smoked me if you knew his gimmicks since I play sort of scrubby with him.
As someone who has mained Yuel since the 1st day she came out in Vanilla I cannot express how much I love how they handled her in Rising, before the stance felt like a complete afterthought and now it's the main reason why she is strong in the 1st place. The fact that they finally buffed foxflame and her backflip and made them usable is also really nice. Hope you are having as much fun as I am with this character beacause she is a blast, best girl in the game no cap (except for Vaseraga ofc she's the best waifu)
You're really good at this game. I love playing Yuel, you should try to utilize her backflip more often to steal turns when your blockstrings ends. It can be very annoying to deal with.
I've been struggling against Yuel the most. I have 14% winrate against her. Maybe watching you play will give me some pointers on how to deal with her. Btw, it's great to see you play a different character for each video! Edit: I watched 10 minutes and Sajam said "This character looks fun" 3 times lol
@@crabhmandu5819 You probably want to resort to lows for it though, since canceling into stance makes breaking out with a high futile, and most characters do not have an overhead that'll reasonably punish
As a Yuel player hearing “this character seems like she is meany to make you mad,” made me laugh. If she were as popular as Nier she would probably be just as hated. Thankfully she isn’t so I likely won’t have to worry about major nerfs for a while.

@@CJ-wh7ik She* Ladiva's a lady, and yeah she's still got an insanely menacing game, I think she did take a couple nerfs around her scariest options but also some overall buffs Ultimate Headbutt is also just terrifying as a reversal, and Ultimate Lariat covers so much ground and guard crushs, she does not lack for ways to maintain threat once meter is in play
respect for playing yuel, she is my main and i feel she is somewhat underplayed so far. the nier matchup is not the best since she has no projectile but hopefully that's just a matter of time.
Feels like a lot of players don't use their raging strikes. Wonder if they just don't know the mechanics of it or just don't think of it. So many times Im watching you press moves against them and nobody pushes you off 😅
Yep. You might as well use bravery for an extension if you plan to end the combo in super, since supers get you +1 bravery point on hit. Unless you're playing a character who hits combo limit easy without using bravery, like Grimnir, anyway. Even then, might be worth labbing to see if a bravery extension is more damage than their normal routes.
@@Soundwves I mean, that is completely untrue, especially at this point in the game's cycle where there are a lot of people repeatedly playing ranked matches. While there might be some outliers, there is a CLEAR difference of skill between people who are in D rank and S rank. If it really didn't mean anything, then there wouldn't be so many people hardstuck in B and A ranks despite having played hundreds of ranked matches.
@@vytmork This point in the game's cycle is *the* most volatile point. If anything ranks matter less now than they will a few months down the line, purely because no one's *really* figured out the game yet. It's the same way in any competitive title, there is a perceived difference in skill between ranks and getting hardstuck is a thing, but that doesn't mean climbing ranked modes directly correlates to your growth in a game. If you play a fighting game in a long set or in a tournament set, it is vastly different than the ranked experience. That's what I mean when I say ranked means nothing when it comes to "evaluating skill level." Similarly, you don't have to be improving at the game to climb ranks, every fighting game has plenty of online-only strategies you can throw at the wall if you just want to make number go up and don't actually care about your skill as a player.
