Probably the best use of the higher quality instrument samples. The original R1 flute is good, but the use of the stringed instrument really ties the aesthetic together. And the extra hits for R3 are a nice touch without being overbearing, like some R3 additions.
This song puts into me the image of some dude on the streets of Hongkong just creepin' around with long, slow steps like some kinda cartoon villain When Round 2 starts, it's like he's been found out and starts running for it, dashing through the crowded streets, friggin parkouring through dark alleyways and picking the most tricky paths And when Round 3 goes off, the repeated chimes are like the sound of police cars hot in pursuit and the guy friggin takes it to the rooftops as bullets start flying and the whole world becomes a blur until the whole thing stops and he probably gets caught
The first round part of the arranged theme fits Yang's stage and calm personality with the gloomy, dark, serious and seemingly empty streets vibe. While the Arcade version fits Yun's sunset stage with the more upbeat but serious vibe.
Story for Yun & Yang (SF6 Wishlist) Since the Events of SF3, Yun would become a very skilled fighter in Kenpo as well as a world champion skateboarder. He was one of only few people from Hong Kong to enter the X-Games and score first place in almost every event that was placed in his path. His brother Yang, also became a hell of fighter in the Mantis style. He would join his brother in the X-Games, dominating the roller blading competition, winning championships there. Though they both enjoyed their success in Xtreme sports, they began to miss their Street Fighting days, which led to the both of them returning to Hong Kong to train again. While training, Yun & Yang would both get invitations to the SF6 tournament about to take place. They would also find out that their younger cousin, Jamie, is going to enter the tournament. Wanting to see how much Jamie has progressed, Yun and Yang enter the tournament. They also hope to face off against some old faces from their younger years. Outfit For Yun Blue, Yellow, & White Hoodie with Skater Jeans with blue & yellow gloves. Cut his hair down to shoulder length. Still keep his cap on his head. Blue, Yellow, & White Sneakers. Outfit For Yang Black & Pink Track Jacket. Black Skater Jeans. Black & Pink Gloves. Black & Pink Sneakers. Fade with spikes at top of hair.
I swear I had a Mandela Effect moment with this song. I remember this version playing this song in this game rather than the other one. When I played the game at the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, it played the other version. I never knew this is actually a rearrangement of the original.
They tried to "retire" Ryu and Ken (along with all past characters) with SF3 originally (start over with a new cast was their original plan), but the reaction at test areas was largely negative. So they put Ryu and Ken (later Akuma and Chun Li) in the game.
There's a bundle of 12 old street fighter arcade games coming out on May! This game is one of the twelve games. Wonder if it will be remastered like the online version, or it's the same old and bad sound quality version in the ps2 and arcade. 30th anniversary of street fighter next year!!
Round one makes me think of Yang. Calm, composed, focused. Round two has a lot more high energy, like Yun, which fits with how he’s the more cocky of the two. Then round three…I guess it’s what you get when you try to fight them both at once.
JohnnyGameGuy, actually this is the James Bond tune just redone in a different fashion. the guy that made this track is a fan of James Bond and wanted the theme to be for Yun and Yang.

@darkhokage Actually this the first time that has ever crossed my mind, even though I first heard this song almost 10 years ago. It is pretty funny because it almost does sound like james bond though
