I hope yuta is paired with another partner to play in MD, he doesn’t have the strongest smashes but he is definitely one of the smartest players out there

@@User_39sankyu they don’t really need that but it’s good to have, Hiruyuki Endo wasn’t a strong smasher as well but his placement and defensive capabilities were his strong points

@@thebestbees Endo is great player… However their lost in 2020 olympics was mainly due to lack of powerful smash. Endo/Yuta could defend Wang Chi Lin smashes well, however Endo’s smash couldn’t penetrate Taiwan defense (factor of age also).

As good as Arisa is, if you put Yuta Watanabe with Huang Yaqiong, they would dominate the XD circuit for years, he is the single most talented MD/XD player there is.

Siwei is great because he always paired with the great front players like HYQ and CCQ, so that he can smash as hard as he could and let the front player defend and take care of the rest. While yuta can be the playmaker as good as he is as the back player.

I think he just ordanary bcz of his rival just not all in the same level. The golden era of mix double are rivalry between butet owi vs zhang nan zhao yunlei vs ma jin vs denmark couples. On that era you will see that only that pair will be podium at glorius event and give us a heart attack

he is better in MD than XD to be honest, as you need to perform heavy smash in XD while Yuta is abit too short and skinny although he is able to jump but that will definitely consume alot of stamina. If it is in MD the stamina consumption will be more equal for both partners

@@HevaNaisdey we can argue who is better between Zhang Nan vs Zheng Siwei. But you can't put Huang Yaqiong on the same level with Zhao Yunlei. The latter is simply TOO GOOD regardless the badminton era we are talking about
