I liked how monotone and serious Yuji sounded when he confronted Mahito. Bro is fully locked in now and understands he’s just another piece to play in this conflict between humans and curses which is raw especially for a shounen protagonist
Yuji got his lick back and it felt so satisfying seeing Mahito reduced to a pitiful little coward. Every episode has been peak after peak this arc and these animators deserve all the praise
It really goes to show what a unit yuji is. Todo had to focus all his cursed energy to his stomach to take Mahito’s black flash and was still downed for a minute. But yuji caught one unprepared and a brutal assbeating as a follow up and could still get back up
We really do need more villains' like Mahito. He’s one of my favorite villains in the series. Watching him get shredded and humiliated was the best part.
The anime definitely made todo’s hand and yujis mouth wound look much more painfull. I don’t think I noticed yuji getting wounded in the mouth while reading the manga originally
@@addollz6192exactly, also the large scar across his face was more distracting than the wound on his mouth so by the time I noticed it, I was trying to remember when it had happened
Maybe it’s just me but Yuji literally gave an iteration of Julius’ speech to Malvo from Everybody Hates Chris, just replace “imma be there” with “imma kill you”. My boy IS NOT PLAYING
Man, it is unbelievable that with how fucking awful the schedule for this show is, these animators are goated enough to give is these WILD ASS FUCKING FIGHTS BROTHER! God DAMN
Yeah, these episodes are better quality than 90% of the series out there. I'm afraid to think what it would look like if these animators had all the time they needed😅
@@MarukaiXThat is not true at all. The “30% complete tweet” was taken completely out of context and is straight up misinformation. Words by the same exact person who made the 30% tweet: “Just a heads up, my tweet was deleted because people were missinterpretating it. In hindsight,I shouldn't have used a number. People focused on dumb numbers instead of what actually mattered. I never correlated that number to a dumb "completition" check point, but to the vision.”
I find it funny they extended this scene here. In the Manga Yuji actually did just try and walk up to kill him real quick, but Geto pulled up. The whole moment was just a few second in there. I mean I like they added this and the Todo idol scene, but it does make you guys think he wasted time when he really didn't.
Mahito's reaction at the end fits so well tho, he is after all a child, young curse who finally was put in his place, finally reality of the situation reached him, like child who never in his life got punished for crap he did, and for the first time dad came in with the belt.
I think the reason that Todo said his technique is dead is because in addition to losing his hand, he had his soul transfigured. Even if it's only a little bit, it's likely enough to change his level of compatibility with the technique innate to his soul. So he might actually not be able to use boogie woogie anymore. Tragic. But hey...he could always be a teacher! Todo would be a fantastic teacher.
Mahito's form in this episode was gained through an immense understanding of his own soul. In exchange for not being able to use Idle Transfiguration on most of his body(except his hands), he gained a massive boost in his physical and defensive abilities thanks to a binding vow. It's stated that this form is about 200 times tougher than his normal state. Yuji's hits that did so much damage before were suddenly having no impact on Mahito. It's stated in a little volume extra that if Yuji hadn't nailed Mahito with that last Black Flash, he would've been instantly torn to shreds. To me, one of the most interesting things about Mahito is how fast he grows. His potential. He's still essentially a child due to how young he is. Yet he managed to master Domain Expansion(something many sorcerers can never do), learned to transfigure himself more, found a counter to Simple Domain, used Black Flash, copied a very specific technique that GOJO of all people used on instinct by releasing his Domain for 0.2 seconds in order to counter Sukuna inside Yuji, told the King Of Curses to move aside, and discovered his true form thanks to realizing who he is. If he didn't have damage already accumulated in his soul or didn't have to worry about Sukuna being inside of Yuji, this wouldn't have even been a fight. Because he would've just used his more powerful soul techniques and just transfigured Yuji and then Todo. Mahito was the exact Curse that Sukuna said Jogo should've been. Someone who destroyed everything around him and lived only for himself and the torment of others. But in the end, Mahito's steps towards greatness were halted by a max power Black Flash straight to the soul. Centered on an unprotected part of his body. He managed to permanently cripple Todo and prevent him from using his technique ever again due to damaging his soul. And now, Geto has appeared before Mahito. Questioning if he will save him.
Minor correction its not the last black flash its the black flash he hits after todo swaps them that weakened him, if yuji didn’t weaken him right before he transformed yuji would have gotten wrecked. Thankfully my goat just hit him with multiple black flashes.
You spend too much time on tiktok. This is like 3 paragraphs, not even a page worths of words. Read a bit, you won't come off as stupid as you currently do.
Todo does need both hands to do boogie woogie (I think) and the way he escaped mahito in the subway, after he caught the swords, he pulled his hands back together and clapped them instantly. It's like crossing your arms over your chest and clapping as you uncross them. But hey he probably Did clapped his cheeks to escape lol
11:30 delayed hit was comming soon after the first hit before. After fight with Todo he stopped delaying it because Todo said that it is a bad habbit. But there Itadori used his divergent fist for first time since fight with Todo, so Mahito wasn't expecting it. Itadori basixally now chooses when to use it instead of it being on and off.
Mahito truly reflected the very worst of humanity. Using any advantage to grow and torment for his own amusement. After all his plans and gambles, when HE was finally the weaker one, all he could do was follow his instincts and run pathetically and be hunted cruelly.
He never got hit with Yuji's Divergent Fist because they first fought during the time he was training under Gojo and Nanami privately. Divergent Fist reveal happened during his encounter with Todo so it makes sense that Mahito didn't know.
Y’all better put respect on yuji the actual MC stop playing with him like he’s not like that 🔥 bro was locked tf in. They did that final black flash moment so much justice i felt that shit in my soul. Seeing mahito being a bitch was so satisfying 😂
I just gotta say y’all’s editing is so good. You really have the best way to show the episode out of all the reaction channels I sub to. Keeping the subtitles non-transparent is such a good touch. Just something i feel like goes unnoticed
say what you wanna say about Mahito, yes he is a despicable character and we all wanted him to die, but he has been the 2nd best character in this season, after Sukuna of course (not the WHOLE ANIME, just this season). i think we have to give him his flowers. remember, he is just 6 months old! imagine if he accumulated the years Sukuna has. Mahito might have been up there with Gojo and Sukuna fr.
That's what people seem to be missing... Mahito learned so much about CE, the soul and his own curse technique in such a short time. Originally it took a lot for mahito to transfigure a soul. But by the time Shibuya came round, he managed to transfigure souls in SECONDS. If Yuji wasn't there and Mahito lived through Shibuya, Mahito would have easily become a Sukuna level threat.
@@larryjake7783 Interesting point. Anyone would learn a lot if you're constantly fighting exceptional sorcerers. However, Mahito has shown how experimental he is when it comes to using his CT. And super curious about everything he comes across. So, yeah, if he didn't fight nanami or yuji his learning curve might be a little slower but he would have evolved into a Sukuna level threat eventually. His CT and mindset gives him that potential.
@@W3LL0N oh no question, he would have definitely gotten there eventually, but they sped him up in real time, and ironically ended him in real time because Yuji was his direct counter. And here's a man who did it without a CT, granted he had the defense of Sukuna from getting transfigured, he still arguably shouldn't have been able to beat Mahito with raw power. Mahito had a sped up evolution and he granted Yuji an evolved evolution, hopefully Yuji can use that attitude in the future
Manga reader here: something y’all said really got me curious when you mentioned “Someone get Yuta”. Dawg. Thinking about it now, if Yuta was in Shibuya when this went down we would have a VERY DIFFERENT outcome in so many situations lol. Just for starts, bro can use RCT to heal himself and others, AND HE CAN FIGHT AND BE USEFUL IN THE FIELD UNLIKE SHOKO. But sadly he’s getting his groove on with Miguel in Africa still lmao.
They adapted the entiety of Yuji and Mahito's relationship and fight in this arc perfectly. The snow chase/"I'm you" scene imo is absolutely up there in top tier shonen moments. Beyond satisfying seeing this absolute asshole maniac have his entire dream/lifeview shattered (just like he did Yuji), after everything horrifc thing he did
Just to clarify, when Todo said his boogie woogie is dead, he meant that literally. He can never use his curse technique again because when he clapped using Mahito's hand, his soul was damaged to the point where his technique is just gone. Reverse Curse Technique can't heal soul damage either.
You need to look at the cover for chapter 117 of hte manga. The anime didn't include it(that was the chapter sukuna concluded mahoraga). You saw how much Yuji resembled Sukuna this episod right? All i'm going to say is that cover shows Sukuna's OG appearance 1000 years ago. The anime shold've included it in the ending or something. Hair back, looking like he has an extra mouth like sukuna, that demon shadow with the red eyes, supreme focus and above all else bro was literally perfectly mimicing what Sukuna was describing to Jogo in the end of episode 16. Just pure raw desire to kill this man
ppl don't understand how impressive what yuuji is doing right now , todo a 1 grade sorcerer took a 1 black flash from mahito fully guarded and was down for the count , yuuji running on 10% soul , took unguarded black flash from mahito and a lot of ass whoopi put still managed to keep fighting and won in the end , a 5 month sorcerer btw
Mahito was the first to taste Yuji's divergent fist time lag before Todo taught him to properly go for a Black flash. Yuji just baited him by using that after not using it once and only going for Black flashes so he wasn't expecting that.
After stand proud opened his domain, Nah I'd win struck back in fear, and Stand proud said are you strong because I am you or are you the one who left it all behind with his overwhelming intensity with this treasure i summon in order to avoid always bet on JoGoat I'm You Malevolent Kitchen
13:00 Where you go, I go What you see, I see I know I'd never be me Without the security Of your loving arms Keeping me from harm Put your hand in my hand And we'll stand ... 🐺 🩸🐇
a conversation has to be had with jjk being in the goat tier, this has given us horror, loss, feeling of weakness, realisation, conflicting ideals and supassing your limits. the animators and the voice actors are real mvps
Todo meant his curse technique (boogie woogie) is gone. That's why mahito got rid of his hand originally. So he said that at the end to confuse mahito, knowing he can't even use his technique
For clarification boogie woogie is dead because Manitoba damages the soul so todo has technically damaged both hands on his body and soul so he can never use his technique again. Even if reversed curse technique was used to heal, it can’t heal the soul.
Straight up crazy action this entire episode, just the way I like it. Itadori is gonna have some gnarly scars and be exhausted after this. I also wonder what Sukuna thinks about all this? 🤔 It was cool to see how the curses and sorcerers are learning about themselves and their abilities from each other. Mahito really made some Nomus and ended up Digivolving into one as well. But my man Todo is too much of a beast. Him clapping Mahito’s hand and clapping his own stump was CRAZY. That bastard really messed him up though and on top of that he said his “Boogie Woogie” is dead which sucks 😔 He needs some medical attention and reverse curse abilities on him ASAP! It is so good to see Itadori going Plus Ultra and whooping Mahito’s ass! So sick to see Itadori become cold and realize that nothing else matters, but his mission to just KILL Mahito and other curses. The visualization of the snow landscape with the rabbits running from the Wolfpack was awesome. Mahito deserves nothing less than to suffer, but that ending, WTF?! I need to see Mahito get obliterated already! Not “Geto” interfering 🤦🏻♂️ and does that mean Mei Mei is dead… 😳
Quote of this episode "thats the true essence of your soul, a B." 😂😂 I always see Yuji applying human logic to curses, asking why you did this and what the reason behind it, he completely let go off that now.. Mahito is great antagonist and pararel to Yuji, like Joker to batman is. The difference is Batman can't cross the line cause joker is human.. Hate him or not, Mahito is pretty genius curse, he can deploy his domain at a split second after he saw gojo did it once..
Terence knows exactly what’s goin on and he does a terrible job of clearing confusing things for the rest of them 😂 like he coulda told em Todo’s technique is gone with the loss of his hand🤦🏾♂️
