I never noticed how the bells on Ayame's pommel actually rings every time it's sheathed.
This one's a special comparison as Yuzu is the only character in the cast who had her previous voice actress retire, necessitating a new voice actress to fill in. So in this occasion it's more about mimicry than voice direction. Hitomi Nabatame's more notable roles include Nanao from Bleach, Arcueid from the Tsukihime anime that doesn't exist, Kazusa from White Album 2, and Suou from School Rumble. If it wasn't obvious enough I wouldn't necessarily equate these voices to Ayumi Fujimura's incredibly lively performance as Yuzu. The latter's notable roles would be Misaki from Maid-Sama, Ibuki from SFV, and Nine from Blazblue.
Personally I think the new performance is fine during speech and regular dialogue but there is absolutely something missing from her battle lines. Somehow the new voice fails to hit the lows AND the high tones that Yuzu once had. It's a shame but what can you do. The lines for her jC are completely different and I think it's a shame they didn't bother trying to redo those lines in particular.
I'm not sure how many people know but Yuzu has a hilarious set of voice-lines for when she gets hit so I decided to include those because fighting Yuzu back with her old voice, whether it was you or her getting hit, was entertaining, now it honestly just irritates me with the current voice.

At first, I didn’t get the change in voice. But it seems like my girl Yuzu has matured a bit in UNI 2 than in previous games.

Since you brought up Nine, I remembered this tidbit... Back in BBTAG Ver.1, Fujimura voiced both Nine & Yuzu and all was normal then. But then the Ver.2 update dropped and Nine had a VA change (to Rie Tanaka, who also voiced Mitsuru) while Yuzu didn't. Then I saw some footage of Episode Extra in JP audio and Yuzu was practically _silent_ (she still had lines and was properly dubbed in EN, but those lines went undubbed in JP instead) and I realized that they didn't even bother to find a replacement VA for her like they did with Nine. Another petty reason to dislike BBTAG, a game I already had mixed feelings towards. But at least better late than never, right?

I would have had no issue if UNI2 didn't bother rerecording lines and just used the old stuff plus an handful of unused lines. Although, the game is already so similar to CLR that I doubt it wouldn't have made for a good marketing angle with so many other assets being mostly the same.

The first one went on "indefinite hiatus" at the start of 2019 and it just became a full on retirement.

The series overall is INDIE. It’s always been carried by Arc System because of the studio in question. It took them a while to bring rollback into UNI while most people wanted crossplay on all systems. Dub Actors as of recent have been filing in lawsuits as of recent due to Sag-Afra strikes. French Bread would have major issues bringing in the original cast from BBTAG. It was the same reason why central fiction didn’t get a dub. French Bread didn’t even consider a English because not only would they have to pay restitution fees for all the actors. ((Hyde) Kyle McCarley, Erica Mendez (Orie) Erica Lindbeck(Yuzuriha) etc) Not only that, some of these characters don’t even HAVE English actors. So they would have to cast more actors to play Londrekia, Wagner, And more. They would be broke faster then they already are having to recast Yuzu’s actor. Blazblue as a series was mostly Non-Union for a voicing acting. They didn’t even consider English dubs: for Melty Blood Type Lumia, Tsukihime or other Japanese games due to the American market suffering/ (some of these actors are kinda pieces of shit. (I.E ProZD)
