日本語でごめんなさい。 私は、この日 会場で彼のパフォーマンスを鑑賞しました。 マスカレイドは羽生結弦氏が競技用プログラムで滑った｢オペラ座の怪人｣の続編だと彼がインタビューで言っていました。 とても情熱的な演技で観客の悲鳴も凄かったです❤

Sometimes in life, in order to protect ourselves we need to wear some kind of mask. But when Yuzu put on his “mask” he is not himself and he is in pain. So in the end, he removes the mask, held it high up, spin then throw it on the floor with anger. (The white part in his glove is the “mask”). He throw it down to signify that he wants to be true to himself, not wanting to wear any mask.

Actually, I've watched almost all of Yuzuru's VDO Clips and many times. But I still want to see more. Because I feel like I have a friend to sit and watch VDO Clip again. Thank you very much. hahaha

The greatness of his triple axel is that the jump is the most correct technique than anyone else. Furthermore, the height and widthbe top level, even though he can jump up with his feet on the steps without assistance. He is too different from other players. No player has reached this level technically.

The white glove represents the mask. If you look at it closely again when he put the white glove on his face, the white part fits his face and the black is the shadow. He fought and struggled. In the end, he threw his mask away. Just to add to your statement about Yuzuru's professionalism: As the ice shows usually held at different places, other skaters or performers always take the chance to do some sightseeing after they have finished rehearsal of their own parts. But only Yuzuru will stay throughout the rehearsal. The host said for all the 6 years of FaOI that he has attended he always saw Yuzuru stayed for the rehearsal. Yuzuru would stay and listen to the rehearsal of the live band. When he asked Yuzuru why did he stay, Yuzuru said he wanted to capture the condition of the singer and the live band on that particular day because there will be subtle changes if the song is performed live. So he wanted to connect to the conditions of the performers as much as possible. The host was amazed by dedication. I was amazed too when I read the comment from the host. It is no wonder he could perform so perfectly on notes even if it's live. Just an interesting side story: Toshl was so amazed by Yuzuru that he became one of his fans (or should I say become crazy over Yuzuru? 😂) after the collaboration in 2019 FaOI. And he still is. It seems like Yuzuru has reignited his passion for life. Toshl has ventured into paintings, a field that he has never tried before, and has succesfully held an exhibition in 2021. Another artist who has gone crazy over Yuzuru is called Miyakawa Taisei, a collaborating artist in 2021 FaOI. It seems like Yuzuru is so cool that even other artists couldn't help but to fall for him too. Edit: apologies, FaOI was stopped in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid. The collaboration of Miyakawa Taisei with Yuzuru was in 2022. The program was called Raison.

Thanks for your reaction to one of my favorite exhibition programs of Yuzu. The song is so emotionally intense for both, Toshi and Yuzu. I love their collaboration. You are so right about the matching with the music, that triple axel (3.5 turns in the air) at the beginning is a jewel! The other jump that caught your attention is a delayed singles axel (1.5 turns).

Masquerade is my fav among his non competitive programs, especially this live version with Toshl❤

Hello again Mustafa and thank you for giving us your reaction to Masquerade. I like watching and listening to your excitement as our brilliant Yuzuru performs. As you know fanyus are very familiar with Yuzuru's programs and we love hearing you praise him for his unique talent and musicality. As we (and you) saw as Yuzuru performed "If" he has once again taken figure skating to another level in fact to another place!

Yuzu and Shae-Lynn Bourne (the choreographer of most Yuzu's free skates) made this program via video calls only a few days before the show started. He performed this program again during Dreams on ice 2021 and he screamed so loud before throwing the white glove. Absolutely dramatic

Thank you for taking the suggestion my friend. So glad to see you reacting to Masquerade. It's one of the most favorite programs of mine & Yuzu's performance is breathtaking. The song itself has a very deep meaning, full of emotional turmoils.. And the glove he took off & threw away represents a mask. You can find the translation of the lyrics online. It'll help you understand the depth of the whole thing. Coz every program has a meaning & a personal connection. Yuzu always gives his 1000% to every program & this one was in his hometown Sendai. So obviously the emotions were high. He performed Masquerade in other venues too. I hope you'll watch other beautiful programs & can't wait to see your reaction to them ❤

Thank you for your reaction! 😊 After GIFT it became harder for me to watch masquerade. I love the intensity and the whole choreo is out of this world, but for me this symbolises Yurzuru in the very dark place he was in when he was treated unfairly while giving his health and soul to his most beloved sport and the loneliness he felt while training all alone at night when Corona hit. The way he overcame this masquerade and instead found strength and wisdom is a great inspiration for me.

This is a very emotional song, about the struggle with the mask you put on in front of people and how he takes off the glove symbolising the mask at the end. He has mentioned that it's really emotionally draining at the end of the performance and he cannot skate this too often. He may not perform this ever again.

like your reaction, thank you! I think the white glove means a Mask, everyone have their own Mask, the Mask is also means a lot in his life, including a terrified accident when he skated the phantom of Opera in 2014, in the end he just break it and go forward.
