Found you because of a Bjork reaction and then saw you had reacted to one of my favourite albums of the last several years. This still gets regular rotation. I love the ease with which he drifts between indie rock, brit pop, electronica, noise rock, techno, and whatever else he feels.
My favorite songs to listen to Faith In Nothing Except Salvation 1:23 Economy of Freedom 2:05 Honesty 4:19 Lifetime 10:25 Recognizing The Enemy 14:48 Let The Lioness In You Flow Freely 18:02 The jazzy intro felt like a good way to move into the rest of the album and so cool. I felt like the strings were so ethereal, the drums gave alternative, and the voice sounds great. I loved the instruments the whole album, I’ve never heard distortion used in this kinda way, it was interesting listening to how different distortions make a song. I felt like the melodies sounded the most impactful with the distortions. This was an interesting album to discover through this video, I’m adding songs to my likes
Love this project, absolute insanity! Noid, Licking an Orchid, and Lifetime back to back to back is such a hot streak. And then Hope in Suffering is genuinely terrifying and the most disparate bleak soundscape I've ever heard. Boundary pushing stuff for sure.
