I just read Yvonne's book over the weekend and I read it from cover-to-cover, which is something I don't do. I highly recommend for anyone with a dream.
@@francineumutoni8961 Well, you can skim, skip chapters, read the first and last lines of each paragraph, only read the intro and conclusion of each chapter, read half the book and leave it for a next year. There are many ways to read a book and not read in its entirety 😭
@@TheCinderellaPrincess Lol. I can understand reading half the book and leave it for the next year. But, skip chapters??!! read only the intro and conclusion!!? How you gonna understand the plot and twist of the book? I mean how can you say you read a book when you never read it in its entirety?
I just love everything about this interview. Everything. Two Africans on screen West and South collide ❤️❤️. As a Cameroonian American I’m just like “WOW”. And low-key Trevor is thinking he should be with Yvonne and I APPROVE 😬😬😬
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Trevor was fixing his hair to prepare for her, when she came back on the camera he was speechless. How cute 😍. Like he was taking back by her. Love it.
I wonder that too, sis? I know that his ex-girlfriend (that he dated before he started hosting The Daily Show.) was biracial or at least really light in complexion...like him. Whether she was of African heritage is another story (racially ambiguous looking).
I have a crush on Trevor, but I'll let him date Yvonne because they are two of my faves.😂 Seriously, I would love to see them together. He comes from a Christian background, the are both natives of the motherland, both comedians, and both have brilliant minds and are beautiful inside and out!!! She had Trevor straight SHOOK when she switched cameras. 😂😂😂 I love it!!😍🥰😍🥰 Trevor make it happen! Lol
The fact she is a Christian just makes me love her the more and she is not shy or ashamed to show that🥺. She is so beautiful and incredibly funny😂😂💔her stand up comedy is top notch trust me😏😌✨✨ and she just makes me so freaking proud to be a Nigerian 🥺✨✨✨. I just love the way she represents us😌✨✨
So glad that she went natural... It shows her true beauty. All of the 'added hair' really hid her beautiful features. And yes... Trevor you can't hide it ...you were blown away!🙃🙃🙃🙃💥
I love Yvonne so much! Trevor and Yvonne's interaction is so hilarious and genuine. I'm so sad Insecure is coming to an end but excited for all the new things the actors are embarking on.
The South African one is sticking out your tongue, putting things on your head 💀preferably drinks , looking disgusted / angry and the most important is shouting out phrases like “Hayi yebo ohh my gosh” If you do that those are the basics of dancing 😂😂if they open the circle 😂- certified tips as a South African
Loving her laugh when the camera switches. A person could be mad that the first camera failed, or could find humor in the situation, she laughs. Lovely!
Trevor is bamboozled by Nigerian dance😂😂 Yvonne, I love the way u simplified christianity in a more authentic way in this book. I can't stop listening to it. Nwannem gisike biko! Ka Chukwu nonyere gi🙏
Not Trevor touching up his hair when he thought they were on a break🤣🤣🤣 I see he is trying to put himself together for her😏😏 They are both gorgeous, intelligent, funny, high moral individuals... give it a shot!!
The aspect of Insecure as a story that I’ll miss is the mundane, unique aspects of black womanhood being on display. It made me feel seen. I know it centered on love relationships and how those affected friendships but it started to really get into the complexities of friendship and how dynamic they are, the ebb and flow that comes from people growing and moving and changing while trying to stay connected.
My sisters are some of the best sisters in the world to me and would do almost anything to help others and one of their names was Yvonne also, laughter is also universal, and lifts your spirit and sometimes we even laugh to keep from crying. She also had a green thumb, anything she planted grew from flowers to garden tomatoes.Thank U Trevor and sister Yvoone....
Wow, this conversation about dance and then dance in south africa reminded me it's been 22 years since I first was in the ZA and introduced to kwaito in 1999. ...Man, I'm getting old (which is also a blessing).
@@soniaainos7244 Thanks, unfortunately not in Switzerland. Even tried the UK audible store, not there either. I'm going to have to create a new profile in the USA audible site.
Why do Yvonne reminds me of Fantasia! I think they would be best of friends 😇😇🌹 Somebody need to put them on a talk show together!😇😇 I’m just sayin’ I Love them both🌹🌹
Her spirit must remind him of his mother bc he was CHEESING and she was GLOWING (as usual) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I know it’s weird but guys love women who are similar to their mothers 😂
