These are my favourite videos! Doug working Leonardo on the camera and Sous being sous and we can’t forget battle-Dad chuckling in the background great job you guys!
Since you’re redoing that machine you should replace the coolant with EVANS coolant. It’s a 0 water coolant. Machines will run cooler and you don’t have to worry about the high pressure you get from a 50/50 mix. You should run it in all your machines. You guys should research it. Great product.
I found your videos doing research on side by sides. I bought a used 2016 yxz with 600 miles on it about a month ago because of your channel, and I absolutely love it it. Can’t wait to see this thing moving with that turbo.
Dudes. I love that you used that intro. And the downward Doug had me giggling for a straight 15 minutes hahaha. Great work. Nice to see the yxz back in the shop
There's another mod for the yxz that you should get and do a review on. Dirt launch powersports shock tower brace for the front shocks. Also a guy by the name of Logan Pilkington makes one as well, with a weld in gusset kit. He is on facebook's yxz addicts group. Basically same idea and sounds like a great low cost mod. I'd like to hear your reviews on it. Thanks!
Great editing and tech work Nick. Not sure you get enough credit for keeping all us key board warriors happy by busting ass to get quality videos to us almost every other day. So, thank you! Can't wait to hear that YXZ scream!!!
For what it worth Deere runs a " wavy plate" separator plates in some clutches of powershift transmissions. Basically the separator plate has a series of bends to act like a spring washer when not engaged. The point of that is when the clutch will disengaged quicker and allow oil flow through the clutches much quicker for cooling. If I recall powertrain class correctly
Please mic the journals on that crank to make sure they are in spec. They looked bad on my screen but video can be misleading. It looked as if it had had pitting. Your spending a lot of time and cash to not check it. Always enjoy watching! Great video!
Guys C'mon, I have projects to finish in my Garage too. This video totally caught me off guard.................Welp, Gotta watch it now I guess, *Yamaha FTW*😏 Keep 'em coming !
I hope Doug falls in love with his yxz again! I want to see this thing up against your buddies supercharged yxz from a few episodes ago. PS make Rick great again!
heyyyyyyyhowyahdoin! finally catching up! lol at the intro... love it. sous killin it with the comedy... glad to see doug getting to work on the yxz, hopefully this will quite the yxz comments on like every video. thanks for the laughs!
Im starting to think the "Dougfather" might be a mechanical being sent from another planet! how the hell does he know how to fix just about anything!!!? the Michigan Mcguiver!
Yxz lIfe! nothing better than making an older machine shine! I'm currently helping a buddy get a 2001 girzzly great again :p cheers boys great videos !! Ps....Wheres Rick :p
Great series and in my case great timing. I have a 2016 I've had since new. No significant mods and 0 problems. I bought a new MPI kit, which is still sitting in the box, from EBAY, for a price I couldn't pass up. Will be tearing into mine in the next month or two. Will you be running a AFR gauge? With all that extra power you will have to do something with the suspension. I have driven a turbo YXZ with a Fireball LT kit (+3" wheel base and +7" width) in the dunes and in the desert. The one I tried had stock springs with just clicker changes. It was like a different car. Much more stable at speed. Pounded through some deep whoops at 60 plus and was able to hold a precise line. Car is also very plush and as a result very comfortable. Also much more confident in high speed corners as the car doesn't feel like it is going to tip over. I was thinking about a Wildcat XX in addition to the YXZ for MOAB type runs. After hearing your comments I think I will hold off on that purchase. Regards, Dennis B.
What's up guy's i just wanted to let you know there is a trick you need to do to the block for the studs if you want to run high boost.you can only Torque the head down so much Just by installing studs you will get head gasket leaks at high boost The trick is to Add more threads to the block Then you'll be able Torque down the heads enough They need to torque down more than factory specs We have nytro snowmobiles running over 500hp on dyno with no problems now racing for 2 years
hey Doug I got the perfect thing for you when you're all done and you got it all put back together your yxz those big horns are on the back there are already tore up and you're going to replace them what you should give everybody is a yxz smokeshow breaking take the big horns and just burn them back tires right off with the new motor and everything I think that would be the best way to inaugurated that build
Nathon Smithson or they’re constantly running in too tall a gear. I trailride with a guy who’s in 4th when he should be in second...and just slips the clutch half the time instead of downshifting. He’s on his second clutch and under 2600 mi.
Awesome video as always! Looking foward to see it all come together. Also them clutches look really good for all the wear and tear. What i mean is when he had to tow not just one machine but a few!! Lol Keep them videos coming. Nice 80s vibe.....
