This is the new weller kit installed on the 2019+ yxz1000r.
Some things to note.... TAKE THE TIME TO TAKE OFF THE RADIATOR.... haha
More testing/tuning to come, we ran out of time Sunday, blow off valve is on order as well

FYI: no Japanese vehicle has Philips head screws. They are JIS, and the reason they're stripping on you is because you're using Phillips tools on JIS screws it's like using Standard wrenches on metric bolts.

I grind the tip down a little on a regular Phillips driver to help resolve this problem

when i installed the turbo on my 2020 I removed the seats and the plastic behind them and was able to get to the top of the motor from inside the cab. left the radiator in place. worked great.

We tried doing the install by the instructions from Weller, I think they should include something like that, it would greatly increase the working space

@@RecklessRanch That Weller Kit looks real clean. I have the silber kit on my rig right now but I'm itching for a bigger turbo! might do something more custom like your setup. when will you guys be posting a race between you two?

@@JustDontDieDalton we did do a race on the asphalt and it was respectably close actually, I left mine in 2wd and did spin quite a bit but it wasn’t that far off

@@JustDontDieDalton I’m at about 10-15psi, is was supposed to be 7psi, but it scoots pretty good, and we haven’t had a hoist gauge on it yet

If it wasn't for randomly watching this video even already knowing of the Weller kit etc, I would not have come across that throttle body lockdown. Mine came off while riding. A must have I say. Looking into it. ...

@@RecklessRanch I installed the same kit on my 19, I spent like 3 hours on that plenum trying to get it tight till finally I pulled the plastic off behind the seat. I live in northern mn , so I haven’t tryed it yet, please let me know how it goes, thanks

Dude that Plenum was a monster and I’m not certain we are done with it makin sure it’s sealed. Planning a pressurized smoke test to see if we got it on there all the way. It does rip as is but we do need to know if it’s sealed up solid.

What is Main difference between GYTR and Weller Kit? Why GYTR so expensive?

To let the engine reliable, how much boost would be recommended max? And how many HP would it make than ?

Depends on the year, 16-18 no psi is reliable. 19+ you can run 15 pounds or so. Probably 200 whp or so

I'm curious to see how well the engine holds up over time, sure the boost will be great at first but will be putting an enormous strain on the entire power train not just the motor, this was my reason for going with the 21 can am x3 I wanted something turbo from the factory, now that I have over 2000 miles totally trouble free I'm feeling pretty good about the decision especially because I got 1800 miles out of the factory belt despite driving it pretty hard.

Just different rides for different folks. Yxz vs Canam vs rzr. They all get ya to where your trying to go just depends on what you like. I couldn’t imagine only having throttle and brake for my Sxs, others are content. When my engine shits the bed I’m putting a Honda k or b series in it with a 5speed manual out of one of the Hondas as well. Every parts store will have parts for it at that point

Light weight flywheel is the only other mod, on the lower boost he should be 160-180 whp

@@Krispy334 Ya spendy, well all long travel kits are really. Even fireball is $4k plus i believe. Mine is still factory suspension with wheel spacers for the simple reason of being a CHEAP ass haha
