@@NewbWorld nobody cares about the road map, they are concerned with the current state of the game only. That is not only fair, it's the most reasonable approach.
@@oourdumb I doubt that's true. I would think more people, veterans especially, would care about seeing a road map vs. current state of the game. There's not much new for them to come back to, if they hear a bunch of great content is a few months away, they might jump back in to start getting prepared, or if content sounds mediocre, they could just give up on the game forever. If it's running smoothly for the console players or not isn't really that much of a concern to them.
They need to figure out a better way for enemy spawns because I'm tired of doing a quest just to hit an area that was recently wiped so I have to wait for spawns to progress
Been playing New World since 2022 and had a small break in June of this year but came back for Aternum and I've been loving it. I get a bit disheartened when I look at the steam forums as it's mainly all negative comments where the angry players/AGS haters gather. The only Negative I have so far is that AGS haven't communicated about a Road map for New World.
I haven’t played since the original launch. I came back for the fresh start severs… and I have been hooked. Game feels better, everything is ironed out, overall a much better experience. I never thought I would come back to this game but here I am haha
Its gonna drop again, right back down to 4k-5k. I came back and tried it... just a cash grab with Angry Earth DLC now, not willing to fork the cash out for it.
It’s possible. It will definitely drop again but I’d be surprised if it got back down to 5k. I don’t think it was just a cash grab. They have to keep working on New World as it serves as beta testing for the upcoming LOTR mmo. So they’ll keep developing the game. Now that they’ve laid the foundation, maybe they’ll start focusing on end game content for current players and that will help retain higher populations throughout the year
Remember there were more than 900,000 PC sales. The relaunch is technically free for them to try again. So its disappointing to see so few returning players.
@@Jezza_One yeah 😕. Most people have either moved on or are just unaware or how far the game has come in the last 3 years. I do think T&L releasing 2 weeks before NW and being free to play had an impact on the numbers. As I mentioned though, I was encouraged that the number went up over the weekend!
A week from start of this relaunch and player numbers already dropping fast. Nothing changed. It will be as the last time and time before that...There is no console player base and devs abandoned PC player base.
@@charliemitchell3627 well shoot! That sucks. Have you gone into settings and turned bandwidth to “High”? I’ve heard a lot of people say that has helped improve the graphics for them.
I believe the Console release was the end of PC and PVP era for NW. They knew if they would have released 1 or 2 more OPR maps, would have maintained the PC playerbase, but they chose to not do it after so many players were begging for it. But now that console release got them new players, it'll most likely be all PVE updates only. And they don't need to do new events either, because they can contain all the console players as they have never played this before. But why did they choose to hide the Player Count from being seen? Maybe artificially boost the numbers? Hide the fact that the game is dead?
You're dyslexic, they never showed player count technically , there was a bug that allowed nwdb to look into the data and they patched that. There are over 100k players on console and they all love it, even look at recent steam reviews all positive. It's ok you can move on, us console players love it
@@DisturbedMephit there's 60k players on steam ALONE. console is probably about a 100k judging by how filled the servers are. Sorry game is far from dead. Maybe dead for y'all 😂
@@riothegod5750 10 days ago it was sub 5,000 players worldwide. I understand that there is always an influx of player count upon updates and events, for example October 2023 had 77,000 player peak, that doesn't change the fact that player count on PC is still lower than a year before, and you know the population will drop off in next few months. Data don't lie. Just because someone else's opinion doesn't match yours, doesn't mean you're right. It's just an opinion.
I love new world and am hoping it succeeds however the pay to win aspects are pushing new players away. Mounts and free gold and some resources in the pass and the boosters to xp. I know it's not hard to catch up to all that's given but still new players do not know that
@@MrTrademarked hey man thanks so much! Gave you a little shout out in the stream when your comment popped up in my notifications. Really appreciate the support 🙏🏻😊
I follow Duke Sloth because of back during the pc release but in reality he is negative and his videos probably keep people from playing the game on pc. Game in its current form has no competition on console. They absolutely need a road map
@@Damageinc32599 yeah… I think a lot of the big NWA content creators have felt discouraged and been more negative lately. Things weren’t looking great for the game a few months ago. And I’m sure now they feel pressured by the PC community to continue with that stance. But yeah 100% agree! Let’s see a roadmap!
How a road map will help? How exactly will it fix the bugs? Have you ever heard about last road maps they displayed? Look how they changed the last road map from "lots of content" to zero. Whole seasons have been skipped. Whole seasons have been delayed for months. No, the road map won't do anything. These devs just don't give rats ass about players.
bro, pls don't even start with performance, this re-release still has bugs from 3 years ago. Run in place bug, Ice Tomb reduces hp to 0, pvp armor scaling does not work unless unequip-reequip, quests still disappear from UI unless re-pinned, and so on and on and on and on, I can count at least 15 bugs back from 2021 that I've encountered since october 15.
