Honestly the Z1 kit seems to be the all around best kit for my 370z. I love how it is a great performance upgrade, while at the same time maintaining the factory O2 sensor location.
I was ready to buy these until I saw the price tag. These are expensive, specially when there are so many other options online for literally a 1/4 of the price. However Z1 has the best reviews and warranty. This is gonna be a tough choice
For the G35 these are definitely an upgrade to the stock manifold but the Vq37 has a stock header design already that isn't like the typical manifold design that the g35. It's essentially just replacing 1 header for a shinier header on the g37- is there a proven power difference? Otherwise on the g37 test pipes or for the most power long tubes are the only reasonable options. Again, g35 this is great for- just questioning its merit for the g37
fit or not fit on the Q50 3.7 because I saw you was thinking about if it fit or not so please be a little more specific if it fits on the Q50 3.7 and what modification do you need?thank you :).
At this point, I just do not understand why z1 hasn't changed the flange to fir HR/VHR test pipes or hfc. I can understand 10 years ago but at this point, there are far more hr/vhrs on the road now. The de was 2003 to 06 and 07 for g coupes. Hr/vhr has been out since 07. Just doesn't make sense to me, especially given the price. Over the last 4 years I watched the price of these go up for 900ish to 1400ish. I'm just glad I finally settled on isr lth, got em for 569 just before price increase to 750. IL bet after couple more years they will be well over a 1000 now that people are real8zing that there great quality, on par with the more expensive options such as Motordyne, fast intentions, ppe. Even the shorts that are worth a crap like Z1's or Tomei headers. Both of which require de test pipes or hfc.
I want know, whats so different from other headers ? this is just tubes and flange.... diameter, good welds, good flange, long tube or short tube, stainless, mandrill, titanium... so can some one comment on this ?
TheRandlefox I think that would really be dependent on what all has been done to the car. For example bolting these on to a stock exhaust might give you 5hp peak. If you already have hfc's and a full 3" inch exhaust you might get more.
nighthawk0077 Probably a whole lot more though. I haven’t really seen any proof that installing headers in these cars has any bang for the buck. Very minimal gains for the price tag.
@@destruxandexploze2552 when the motor is in reverse then the exhaust manifold becomes the intake manifold so the exhaust runners will be the intake runners. that is why he called them intake runners in the video right?
Are they the same oem fit/length? Planning on buying this with boosted performance turbo kit, the kit mounts right on to the oem headers, replacing the catalytic converter. Any idea if its possible?
Nah piece of cake I'm sure LOL yeah I'll probably take you at least 6 hours with a lift. Anything with a v is much more difficult to install headers on
Supposedly you'll have to change out those HFCs for G35 HFCs and that's it. There doesn't seem to be any clear information anywhere. One website says this, the other site says that.
Can't these be modified to fit the awd infiniti hr motors? The clearance is the issue correct? So with the correct modification to the headers it will be fine ?
z1 headers, z1 test pipes, tomei Y, tomei catback.... current setup^ worst vq sound i’ve heard to date, it’s legit embarrassing to drive around i’m forced to shift below 3k rpm... will motordyne art pipes help restore that vq sound?
No, you don't have to change out any other parts. Only on the VQ35HR and VQ37HR engines that you have to run the test pipes with the flanges made for the de headers.
I own a 370z 2014, quick question. As of now im running Motordyne Art Pipes with Tomei Exhaust, stock Y pipe, but i will be buying the z1 headers soon. What do i need to buy to make the z1 fit with the Z? People said i have to get diff art pipes to make the header fit? Can you help me out with this. Thanks!
We use these on HR's and VHR's often with great success. Although the stock manifold design is far improved over the earlier DE, it still leaves a lot to be desired.
Have you tried these paired with the Turbonetics Turbo Kits (or any kit that 'utilizes' factory headers)? I wonder if they're going to free up more midrange if used.
I really like the idea of these, but currently really happy with my fast intentions exhaust setup. Will this flange bolt up without issue to the fast intentions 2.5 inch resonated high flow cats??
Did you ever figure this out? I’m looking for the answer to this question, except for I have Tomei Expreme headers and am debating whether to get LTH or keep the Tomeis and add test pipes
It is a DE flange at the end of the headers so you would need to switch to DE test pipes or high flow cats. There is no modification required to bolt these to a VQ37VHR.
I thought the motor mount has to be Dremmeled* a bit for these to fit. If these fit, then why hasn't anyone put them on... Or the DC Sports headers which cost half as much?
I know it’s point less for me to be watching parts get put on another car but I don’t care whatever I don’t have money for I get a feel for through RU-vid and thjs is exactly that
Hey guys..I want to increase Horsepower In my 350z 2008. i have 3k only. Please suggest the things i can do with this amount. What shud i add in engine? Plz help if u have a strong background in this area. I have ZERO knowledge in mods.
I already have an intake and exhaust - Z1 Motorsports CAI, Fast Intentions HFC & CBE. Can I add these headers to my hight flow cats or is this a cats delete? I live in Cook County, Illinois - so emissions testing is an issue (I need cats to pass).
That's an impossible question to answer. Z1 headers sell so fast we often cannot get them made in a high enough volume to keep up with orders AND stock our shelf at the same time. For the time being, the best suggestion is that you place an order and get in line so we can ensure that we have a set allocated to you.
Stamped steel? Really exhaust manifolds are usually iron guess there getting cheap or its not needed on a non turbo. Those are pretty clean looking headers though. Dyno?
They will not but get some test pipes or high flow cats first before you buy a set of headers atleast and theh have to be with de test pipes it is an option to be included on there website
These are generally back ordered. They're so popular that keeping them on the shelf is nearly impossible Your best option is to get a set ordered, and get on the list. We ship them as soon as they show up, they sell so quickly that they sell almost immediately.
Just the fact that I am on this video looking up a car I don’t own means that my car wasn’t all that satisfying enough for my tastes shit if anything I might trade for a Nissan yo😂😂😂😂
Thank you for the reply but I decided against it. These headers right now cost double the price of my Top Speed Pro1 TD Exhaust with Kinetix HFCs. So that's a hard nope.
Going to be purchasing these for my 370Z project. In terms of the VHR application, can I go with any brand DE test pipes with these headers? Also, if I decide to go back to OEM DE cats (emissions), would there be an issue using them along with these headers and an aftermarket 370Z catback? Guess I'm just unsure about the flange design.
I have a sound clip of my 350z with the Z1 Headers matched with Z1 test Pipes, a resonated y-pipe and the Z1 Single Exit Exhaust on my page. The headers made a big difference in changing the exhaust tone and note of the car.
Because the market for headers on the 7th Gen Maxima, or any FWD VQ for that matter is small. It's not a matter of being smart enough to do it, the cost of development for exhaust components made to our standards is incredibly high.
We still get them in and out, but they sell faster than we can keep them on the shelves. If an order is placed currently, you'll be placed in line to receive a set from the next batch.
These were super easy to install, I just wish that you had some good clips of different exhausts with headers. The Stillen catback sounds like ass after headers. Had to put 2 Vibrant resonators on to get a good sound. Glad I got them when they were cheaper, damn $1300 now!
