Hi, Thank you so much for the video and your hard work. I have applied and got the statement of comparability from ZAB. Also, I got the ZAV certificate for the blue card(Accepted my ZAB document). Then applied for a blue card from Sri Lanka. The embassy has rejected it due to ZAB certificates. The certificate mention "The foreign degree is formally equivalent to a German university degree on Bachelor's level"(Bewertung -Der ausländische Abschluss entspricht formal einem deutschen Hochschulabschluss auf Bachelor-Ebene). Even the university and degree in Anabin, also the German embassy in Sri Lanka rejected the application for the blue card. The embassy accept the ZAB document with "Bewertung -Der ausländische Abschluss entspricht einem deutschen Hochschulabschluss auf Bachelor-Ebene"(Without a "formal" word). A lot of people have the same issue. If anyone knows the different between "Bewertung -Der ausländische Abschluss entspricht formal einem deutschen Hochschulabschluss auf Bachelor-Ebene" AND "Bewertung -Der ausländische Abschluss entspricht einem deutschen Hochschulabschluss auf Bachelor-Ebene" Could you pls update here?

Hello, I am applied for zab by only with bachelor marksheet. I didn't did attestation of my marksheet. I not used transcript and provisional degree during application. So after my university status is H-/+ so on basic of mark sheet they rejected my zab application due to value education not good or certificate credentials not garunteed. Please advise what i can do to obtain zab varification. Do I need to attestation of documents and apply again with transcript and provisional. Please share your opinion.
Hi, great video!, A small question... my future employer refuses to give me a work contract without having the ZAB already so do you know what has to be included in a 'letter of intent' for employment in order to be able to apply via the Blue Card route?

To be honest, I have never tried it with a letter of intent, but my suggestion would be to include the details that show that you will most likely be eligible for an EU Blue Card, meaning the job title and salary level apart from the planned start date. Hi. Thank you for the awesome video. I have a question. I have 3 years of Bachelor of science degree with H+ university. My degree falls in A3 category in Anabin data base but in the certificate, it shows both Conditionally comparable (Bedingt vergleichbar) and Corresponds (Entspricht)to Baccalaureate/Bachelor 3j. Now I am not sure if I need to apply for a Statement of Comparability or not. Please let me know if you know. Thank you in advance.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I guess you got this sorted by now. Generally, whether they accept a scanned copy or not is subject to the local embassy policy. From my experience it varies a lot but it's worth it asking if you can start the processing with a scanned copy and then submit the original as soon as you have received it.
Hi, I applied for ZAB statement of comparability as a blue card applicant. Just to share with you, The payment receipt has been confirmed on 25 August 2022 but still no update on the ZAB statement of comparability. So unfortunately in my case it took around a month already but no news uptil now as a blue card applicant.maybe the process is taking more time these days
@@uncleroq my documents reached on 17 august through DHL, I received confirmation of documents on 23 August with payment quote and 25 august I received the confirmation of payment and then on 28 September I received the email with PDF for statement of comparability. I am still waiting for the documents to be arrived in hard copy form.
Hi Jana, thanks for the explanation. I'm thinking about having my qualifications recognized, but I'm worried about the time it might take to get the recognition. I was thinking the process is around 3 months, but I recently saw some people saying it could take up to 5 or 6 months, and some even saying it could take a whole year. Is this true? In your experience, what is the average time that it normally takes to get the statement of comparability?
Hi Adam, sorry for taking so long to reply. Unfortunately, it is true that this process often takes longer than the 3 months. ZAB has recently launched a new website with a full online application process, so I have my hopes up that things will be a bit faster now. To be honest though, I am still waiting for updates on processing times after the latest changes. I'll definitely keep people posted here in case I now more. Need help! ZAB has sent my statement of comparability documents through Deutch post without a tracking number and the address mentioned on that is my old address. I have moved to a new accommodation. Kindly help me, how to contact them? I have browsed on their website but unfortunately I couldn't find any link to contact them.
Hi Ben, I hope you got this sorted in the meantime. There should be a contact mail id in your mail confirmation. I would suggest to write to that address and always include your processing number in the request. Please share your experience here for others to learn. I'd really appreciate it!
And another question, in the checklist they just mention to proivde copy of the original documents, in my case they are Syrian, so no translation to German or ceritifcation is needed?
Hi Alex, I guess that you got this sorted in the meantime. Usually, a certified German translation is required, sometimes an English one is also accepted. However, it depends on the particular case and location, so details may vary.

I mean is there any sentence or information on the statement which indicates something like "this statement is issued for blue card" or the document is same but only difference is proccess time ? Hi Annie, thanks for your comment. I'm happy to explain the difference. Both options are ways to proof that you have a recognized university degree. You can first check your university degree recognition on the Anabin database. If both your university and your degree are listed with the right criteria, then this means that your degree is recognized and you can use the Anabin excerpts for your visa application. If your university or your degree or both are not listed or do not fulfill the criteria, then it is highly likely that you need to apply for a Statement of Comparability from ZAB to proof that you have a recognized degree. In your case, I think it would also be good to look up your profession on this website: www.anerkennung-in-deutschland.de/html/de/index.php. It's likely that this is a regulated profession where additional recognition would be required in order to be allowed to work here.
Hello, thanks for the great contenet, can you please advice with below situation: I applied for a visa (blue card) via German embassy in Warsaw and provided all documents and they asked for ZAB, I am sure that my degree is recognized by Anabin and I provided a screenshot from Anbin proving that, but it seems the German translation of my Graduation document was not accurate and they refused any further clarification or if I can provide them another document with accurate translation and just asked for the ZAB statement, I already applied for ZAB but was wandering if you are familiar with such case, when study is already listed in Anabin but ZAB was required, thanks in advance for your kind advice.
Hi Alex, sorry to hear about this. Did you get it sorted in the meantime? We do often struggle with Anabin excerpts because the embassies in different countries sometimes apply different decision criteria.

For my degree, Bachelor in Social Sciences, it is in class A3, and showing two remarks in Bewertung. Should the anabin exerpt be sufficient? 1. Bedingt vergleichbar - Bakkalaureus/Bachelor 3j - Sofern er sich um einen regulär 3-jährigen Bachelorstudium handelt. 2. Entspricht - Hochschulreife/ Hochschulreife fgb. - Eine Vergleichbarkeit ist allenfalls nach dem äußeren Rang möglich. Nach den Bewertungsvorschlägen Bangladesch berechtigt der Abschluss eines 2jährigen Studiums lediglich zur unmittelbaren fachgebundenen Hochschulzulassung. (Äquivalenzklasse - Entsprechender dt. Hello Jana, Your video on RU-vid regarding ZAB statement of comparability is very informative. Actually I am facing a problem. I sent my payment of 200 € on 7th June after getting the email from ZAB office about the bank details. However, I have not received any confirmation email regarding receiving the money by them. I asked ZAB through email several times, but they're not replying to any of those mails after clearing the payment. I'm a little bit tensed about whether they've received the fund or not. Is it normal to not get any acknowledgement? Please let me know if you have any information about this. Thank you
Hi Dipak, sorry to hear about your situation. The usually send a payment confirmation and confirm that they will start processing your application. It's currently holiday season in Germany, so maybe things are taking a bit longer. Did you get a feedback by them in the meantime?
Hello, Thank you very much for your video. Recently I applied for Statement of Comparability in ZAB for reason that when I have been graduated the program was not accrediated. The fact is that in my home country there are some laws that the new programs because at that time my program was new in 2018 and I graduated in 2021. Due to Covid19 the process of accreditation finished in 2022. Of course regarding the laws of higher education in my country my university issued my diploma after the accreditation was finished but they only see to one website the year when the decision has been approved and the date that will finish the accreditain and they not even asked me for any proof in case the doubt for authenticy. What do you suggest me to do or anybody in my case. I have one Master Degree also which I have recently finished. That one fulfill their accreditation requirements. Do you think Master Degree will override my bachelor degree accreditaion?

But when I was a student I didn't finish my degree (due to family reasons), I have a 3-year diploma certificate in design & media from Singapore, my agent did apply for ZAB(via blue card channel ) and sent my documents to them last week, I have yet to hear from ZAB again. I'm curious to know if ZAB will ignore my documents since I am under the minimum requirements (bachelor's degree). More background: I've submitted my documents to the embassy but they request to have my certificate verified by ZAB, which I'm doing it now but I'm very concern about how are they are going to let me know about their decisions. Upon checking in anabin, i found out that my univ and degree are recognized and has equivalent status with German standard. But my visa office here in Jakarta still asking me to apply for Statement of comparability. my question is : is it possible to apply statement of comparability if my univ and degree are already listed in Anabin? Hi Edvan, if they have requested the Statement, it should be possible for ZAB to issue you such a certificate if your degree is recognized. Unfortunately, I have had the experience that the exact requirements for the Anabin excerpts vary a lot depending on the embassy and visa officer processing your application. I can think of two reasons why they may have requested the Statement of Comparability: a) Is your specific degree name listed in the Anabin entry of your university? Sometimes the visa officers don't accept the Anabin excerpt if it is not listed there. 2) Did you double check if your degree name on your university certificate is exactly the same as the one you found on Anabin? Even a small difference (e.g. different major) is sometimes not accepted.

Hi, it really depends on your location. The prcoessing times vary between 1-2 weeks and several months but I would say 2 weeks is a very short timeframe.
