They sure did! Metallica is my all-time favorite band, Jason Newsted is my favorite singer in the band! Enter Sandman was done in a very epic way, especially with Jimmy's solo!
what i love is that this is a COUNTRY concert and yet the second the song start the crowd erupts and every one puts up the horns....music is universal.
For y'all who aren't musicians... understand that an established band with charting songs of their own to cover another musicians/band is the ultimate gesture of respect
Metal music all ready had there country sound it's called Folk metal: ELUVEITIE - Rebirth ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d-pSq4MJmy8.html
Right on 👍🏻. Zac Brown is from Dahlonega , Ga. & it’s just a few miles down the road from where I live here in Suches , Ga. . I’m just saying . I LOVE ZBB ! I’ve seen Him & the Band oh goodness more times than I can remember. First time was in 2000 . ♥️🎶🎶🎶
This is amazing! Gotta love a country artist who isn't afraid to put another genre of music out there. They did an amazing job; gotta love that violin being played with that much love and it works amazingly with this song. They put their own spin on it and totally rocked this!
I'm a Metallica fan, and I've got to admit this is one of the best covers I've ever heard. I'm impressed. Kirk's solo on the fiddle was impressive, probably better than he can pull it off anymore. Great job! And as you can tell by my name this is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Zac is most likely the most talented singer, guitar player, and performer in our lifetime, yet he is always willing to give the spotlight to others. What an amazing man?
nosuchthingasnothing check out rebel meets rebel (Pantera country album) Then check out hank 3 “3 shades of black” As a die hard metalhead you won’t be upset
Amazing..... Now this is what I love about music.....taking the chance to step out of your comfort zone and bring a rocking song to life like this ....not even their style of music but rocked it ....blown away and impressed...
I was watching the Pat MacAfee show yesterday and they had Zac Brown on talking about touring and stuff. I think it was pat that mentioned something about this. Had to check it out. Glad I did. Sounds awesome.
John adds that darker element as well as that deeper and grittier voice to this song that Zac couldn't do. But moreover, he adds a scarier aspect to this song, especially with how deep he sings the bridge into the last chorus. One of the best covers of this song I've heard.
@@dannymurphy4261 well, it depends on if the production crew, including the camera ops, had seen the song and solo in rehearsal. If this song was an extra tossed in the encore, the director and camera ops all may have been guessing at this.
I just stumbled across this video and like others have posted the fiddle solo blew my d@mn mind! I knew De Martini was amaze talented , but never imagined just how incredibly gifted the man is on the git-fiddle. My appreciation and respect of him and the Zach band just went way up. Hoping I can catch one of their mid-West shows this year.
Hammett's guitar solo... On a fiddle??? Awesome! One of the best Sandman's covers I've ever heard... And this is coming from a huge Metal fan.. Respect! The crowd could do a little headbanging though, just for the mood.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds pretty badass, but at the point where you've heard Apocalyptica play the entire song as a 4 cello acoustic piece, a fiddle solo isn't impressive in and of itself. Nonetheless, the fiddler, and the entire band, did a fantastic job and mad respect to them for it.
Zack Podskoc it's actually quite impressive because he almost nailed it note for note on a fretless instrument using a wah that isn't intended to work with it...
Enrique Sotelo so how are you able to get past his voice? It dont work, if you can't sing metal music, which he can not. Huge metal fan you say? Really, and how did you manage to miss his singing? The voice blower, doesnt work for country metal.. sorry.
that's what being an artist is. being able to improvise and make something just as amazing as an original. I'm surprised myself. and I'm a hardcore country fan. I didn't think it was going to be good at all. amazing.
You can tell this is just a group of guys completely in love with music/instruments and playing together. Because no matter what genre they play it’s almost always flawless. These men are true MUSICIANS
Ben Phillips In the day and age where fewer people are going to see shows and fewer still are buying records, all the non canned genres of music need to stick together hahaha
To see someone like Zac Brown play a song like this shows how much this band can take any type of music and show respect to other bands reguardless of the type of music. Great job Zac Brown Band.
Been listening a lot of ZBB's covers and reading a lot of comments from people. One thing stands out. Just because a Band/Artist primarily plays in one genre doesn't mean they aren't fans of all music. Matter of fact, Ice T said it best. "I feel sorry for anyone who listens to one form of music. Music is music no matter what genre"
When I saw this video I was scared it was going to be too country. But they delivered! This coming from a huge Metal fan and someone who has seen Metallica live before!
A COUNTRY artist, doing GRUNGE METAL... honestly, this is nice. This guy shall be Folk Metal. im liking this guy more for his metallica reference in his lineup.
Okay, I love country and I love Metal. I love The Zack Brown Band and Metallica is easily my favorite metal band and to hear one cover the other kicks ass!
Working with what they had, this is phenomenal! And that guy with the beard is scary as al get out! The lead sounds amazing on the fiddle as well... One of my favorite versions of this song.
