Songs like these hit me hard. The lyrics/verses used almost represent my own life. One such part is a perfect example: "I'm scared of losing it all. I've come so far and I'm stressed I might fall. With no one to catch me, but maybe they'll catch me? I've gotten so used to being refused and now I'm attaching." followed up by the chorus. I've always been one to never speak up, always usually alone. But after I was invited to be friends with a large group, I felt happy, but scared. I was happy because I was accepted there, but scared because I didn't want to lose them like my previous group of friends. Whenever I felt sad, I always kept up a happy facade, but I always wanted to release my feeling out to them. I never let myself be, well, myself around them. I wanted to release all the stress I had out to them, but I knew I had to be somewhat distant, so I didn't get attached to them like my previous group. But, as fate would have it, I was slowly attaching to them, getting more and more terrified of the outcome. And then, after a year, we were still friends together. The group was somewhat cracked, but I was the one that connected everyone together still. I'm relieved that I'm still together with them, and hope that I will still be in the future. Some of them changed in appearance and/or personality, but I was never treated any different from before. As much as I feared change, I knew I had to accept it, since without change, we can't grow, nor can we express ourselves the way we want to, the way we NEED to. Thank you Zach and Sailor, for this wonderful song.
