Not necessarily. That's why it was funny when George did it on the show- making fun of rich/fancy/persnickity folk who actually do it. I thought it was hilarious, first time I saw my (ex)brother-in-law eat a slice of pizza with a knife and fork. It had never occurred to me that some people don't do finger foods.

@@mylink.orb17 Well, why would you pick something up that's going to get your hands all dirty. It's why we started using utensils in the first place. It doesn't make sense to eschew them unless the food in question has a wrapper or some other inbuilt mechanism (like a banana peel) that will save your hands from the dreaded stickiness. For everything else, out comes the knife and fork. Anything less... would be uncivilized.

@@CompassIIDX Some foods are designed with edible holding surfaces, like sandwiches, ice cream cones, and pizza. Other foods are dry enough that you can pick them up without getting dirty, like chocolate bars, most donuts, sushi, corn on the cob. Then there are some foods where getting your hands messy while eating is socially acceptable, like ribs, wings, fufu, crab legs, etc. You just wash your hands after eating. Point is there is the full spectrum of acceptable eating styles, utensils vary and are not always necessary. Your attempt at eating sushi with a knife and fork would be hilarious (might even offend some), as would your attempt to eat chicken wings. "Uncivilized" is a very uncivilized word.

Seems it is at Dinah's Family Restaurant - based on the Donut sign ("Royal Donut"), the Viva Fresh Mexican Grill sign, the Dinah's Family Restaurant sign, and the Doubletree sign, they were on/off S. Sepulveda Blvd. In fact, they were in Dinah's based on the booth upholstery. The donut may have come from Royal Donut based on the absence of a donut on the menu.

DINAH’s in West LA on Sepulveda on the way to LAX.! How many times did I dine there from 1981-2005 when I lived in LA? Loved that place and judging from the Lavazza cups Jerry and Zach have they final serve decent coffee which was the one thing they didn’t do well in all my LA years. Great comedians, great conversation and great memories of one of my favorite LA spots!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😋
