Fucking hell, I had to put it on quarter speed to even process visually the pad hitting the drum. It's all perfectly timed. Zach Hill's right foot is evidence of a higher species of man.
And ironically that nearly decayed and robotic quality that slowing to that speed gives it makes it sound like it could be an integral piece of one of their instrumentals
i just realized another reason his drumming sounds so intricate, besides for the fact that it is, is because his bass drum sounds so much like another tom.
what a marvelous realisation that was matthew walker and do i say that i love how you indulged into the input of those rummaging through the comments of that of youtube videos to find such intellectual lexicon that you have used such as yourself to portray such emphasitellectual bafoonery, furthermore thank you so much for blessing my mind and my time and my life with this euphonic comment of yours, i am truly, sincerely thankful for you Matthew, you have a wonderful mind, giving me this new perspective in my life that only you could provide me, you are a saint Matthew, just know that.
allegedly zach hill has this technique where he'll rock his foot on the pedal to get a double kick effect, but i think "black magic" is a more believable explanation for how fast he kicks
open this video up once, then open it again, in a second window. now listen to these videos twice, together, in one sitting....... Heaven people. Heaven
@@LucyGoosey4636 speaking from experience, using slide enables you to chain multiple strokes (as many as you want and as fast as you want) together. Heel toe makes heavy use of your ankles and when you try to do it really fast you just end up gassing your foot out.
@@rorykillian749 ok so I don’t think I really know what the slide technique is. Can u send a video explaining how to do it because slide sounds way easier
it should be a VANS commercial. with cut scenes to steve caballero doing the highest air record in the 80s. is the spring loose or tight on his pedal? I play with a loose tension at home on my electronic kit but I like a tighter tension on acoustic drums. its all about finding that sweet spot from your stool. the perfect distance/ thanks for uploading. :)
Dear FLATLANDER I am currently working/living in Cape Town, South Africa and I plan on going to London at some point with the motivation of also seeing one of your DEATH GRIPS shows whilst there. I am aware of your show in may but would also like to find out about any other shows that might be occurring during the later part of the year (September - end of November). I would greatly appreciate any information as I need to book for a plane ticket soon. thanks
and i thought jojo mayer was a mater with the right foot....how the FUCK is it possible to a group of 4 faster than i can do it with one damn HAND?! when i saw jojo doing triplets as fast as this guy i thought that's as far as it goes, but nope, he just has to one up jojo!
but you were too arrogant to admit that it IS a group of 4, why do you still deny it....why don't you tell me exactly how you ripped it and what program you used? i'd love to do that, it'd be easier to learn!
Recently started using a double pedal for the first time, between this and how fucked my left foot is at only 90 bpm, I am thoroughly inspired to blast away for the next lifetime, trying to get this fast and precise. I knew I should've never learned how to read... :-p
@AlexLancia btw what's the big picture....people have opinions? my reason for getting upset is how you are expressing your opinion, i wouldn't mind if you said he sounds like crap, because honestly there are a lot of days where listening to him gives me a headache, that doesn't change the fact that i listen to his music every now and then for a mind fuck! he obviously does have immense talent, this is just his style, he's easily capable of playing in an acceptable style!
@coyel i'm someone you could never understand...yes you are correct that music is not a competition (playing or listening) i never called anyone morons for listening to their music....and believe it or not people are selfless, not all our actions are dictated by our egos! that is a childish mindset to force you opinions onto people, or to do it just because it makes you feel good or superior....i'm not like that, you wouldn't be able to understand it because you think everybody works like that!
@AlexLancia i appreciate how you understand my way of thinking....and i agree that it is both a blessing and a curse, but i've learned to accept the negative so i'm no longer bothered about what people think of me or say to me....i guess you can say that i have ataraxia....and sadly that can't be fully acheived without being a drug induced zombie, shit just fucks with your zen sometimes...even the dalai lama admits to getting mad at times!
but thanks for the music page, i love that site! i don't have an account though....but that's a lot of new music! if you had to listen to only one artist your whole life who would you choose?
