Zach's Iowa Brute, Hunting A New Farm Leads To A Giant Missouri Buck On The Ground #hunting
We're coming at you for a second episode this week to try our very best to stay up to date with the great influx of action that the pre rut and rut has brought the team. On this episode, we kick things off with Zach Rozmus in Iowa who brings us a text book morning hunt to round out October. On top of filling his tag on an incredible brute of a buck, Zach's story showcases how working together with other hunters in your area can lead to great opportunities. Following that, we join Aidan and Avery Epperson in Missouri for a saga that brings no surprise. After acquiring permission on a new property with team member Tyler Behlmann on October 15th, the guys put their hunting minds to work to figure out the ground with the impending rut fast approaching. Hunting only a few times, the duo find themselves face to face with the best buck on the farm and by the end of it a tag is filled on the buck known as "Stick Tight." This is only the tip of the iceberg and with much of the month ahead of us, we're excited to continue to bring you the action as fast as we can. Next up is Mike Reed's story with the Iowa giant known as "DK" and then Drake Lamb's incredible rut hunt for a giant 8 pointer after that. Good luck hunting and thank you so much for the continued support, all of us greatly appreciate it.

Colby, those two are as close of brothers as they come! Both in their early 20’s and own a piece of dirt together. We’re super fortunate to have them on Midwest Whitetail and a part of our family. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the episode! DK coming next Monday.

We couldn't have said it better Kane. You know it's a great season when both Zach and Kane tag great bucks. Excited to see how the rest of the season plays out and we hope to see you this evening for the story of "DK!"

Lee Ward we really appreciate that! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the episode and we are super excited for the guys. Zach and Aidan work their tails off all season long so to see it come together the way it did for each of them was really cool. Hope you've had a great season and we hope to see you back in a few hours for the story of "DK," the river farm giant!

Zach my man, way to make it happen on an awesome buck. I've said it before and I know you talked about it in the podcast but I think it's the coolest thing that you and your neighbors have built such a close relationship through land ownership and chasing that dream. I really do appreciate you setting the tone and example for all of us younger guys, showing us exactly what can be accomplished through hard work and integrity. Congrats to you and Ty and good luck filling that 1st ever land owners tag, we will be watching! Aidan Epperson... you holding it together for nearly 2 minutes at full draw is flat out insane. Way to keep your composure and congrats to you, Avery, and Tyler on the first buck off of the "Brush Farm." Here's to the next one!

Tactical Snoopy it's great to have you back for another episode and we're darn glad to hear you enjoyed this mid-week episode. Zach and Aidan are great guys and work their tails off to be in a good position each fall. Very lucky to have them as friends and we can't wait to se the next one! Hopefully we will see you back this evening for the story of "DK," Mike Reed's biggest typical buck to date. Good luck hunting and have a great day!

Love the way you handled the post shot reaction. Not a bunch of smoked him and celebrating too early. You did a great job of evaluating what was going on while you could. Love the respect for the animal and the what we do.
@MidwestWhitetailVideos
@MidwestWhitetailVideos 8 месяцев назад
Arrowsquirrel1563, definitely a mature way to handle a post shot situation like that. Well really in both cases with both hunters trying to determine exactly what was hit. One of the top, if not the top benefit to filming hunts is to be able to look back at the shot and make decisions from there on tracking. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and we hope to see you back this evening for the newest episode that dives into the story of "DK," Mike's biggest typical buck to date!

That’s no kidding Mitch! Both of these guys work their tails off to have good spots to hunt and it shows. Proud to call them friends and couldn’t be happier to see them have success already this season. Lot’s of hunting left and good times ahead! Hopefully you’ve had some great hunts of your own. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

Zach and Aidan are two of the best and we couldn't be happier to see how things came together for them. With lots of season left, we can only hope to get some more updates from these teams in the tagged out fashion. We hope to see you this evening for the "DK" episode and story and best of luck the next time you hit the woods!

I asked this last year and you guys didn't cover it. I would be ok with an out of season video. Can you guys please cover between all of you what you take into the tree and how you carry it please? Trying to learn and would love to see options on being efficient.

Jade Bricks, that's a great question and one we can definitely make an effort to build a video for that. We will have to make it a point to show a difference between when it's one person vs 2 people going to the woods. How we pack bags/stands definitely changes with that! Hope you enjoyed this episode and thank you from all of us for making the time to watch the episode. Hope to see you tonight for our newest episode release! Have a great day.

Im confused as to how they didn’t find the second buck earlier…we watched it walk into the woods and the dude said, “he’s going down that path..” but they didn’t think to check the path that it went down…

Drawing too early often leads to a long hold, which leads to poor form, rushed shot and marginal hit. Just something to consider if you're new to this game. You'll see this all the time on hunting footage.
@MidwestWhitetailVideos
@MidwestWhitetailVideos 8 месяцев назад
John Bobon, that's great advice no doubt! It's always a catch 22 on when the exact right moment is to draw the bow. In this case, I think Aidan made a good decision once he saw that buck begin walking and a huge shout out to him and Hoyt for the near 2 minutes after that he was able to comfortably stay drawn. Had he let down with that stare down I don't think we would be talking about the same outcome! For new hunters though like you talked about, it's a great phase of the hunt to envision before the big moment. Hav a great day and we hope to see you back this evening for the story of "DK!"

We can only hope that's not what stood out to you on this episode or in that scenario! It was a really cool experience to get to share in with Jon and to see him tag his biggest buck to date was really special to be a part of. As far as the actual episode goes, we couldn't be happier for Aidan and Zach and hopefully, you were able to extract some good stuff from those hunts. Have a great day and good luck hunting!
