Hey y'all, this is my version of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII's protagonist's theme "Playstation 1" styled. I came up with the idea after hearing the PSP soundtrack a bit and I thought I'd give Zack's theme a 16bit (or is it 32 bit???) PS1 arrangement. So I used some of the samples from the actual game, itself, to give it that "Final Fantasy VII-ey" feeling. :3
Now, I haven't delved into the details on what are the abilities of a PS1 (its sound card and all, how many channels it can play at once) so please don't be correcting me saying that, "Hey, a PS1 can only play like "#" amount of channels. You idiot! I'm going to give you a 2/5 because of a lack of knowledge blahblahblahblahblah...etc. etc."

This theme song is truly fitting for how great Zack was. Zack in my mind is the true hero of Final Fantasy VII. Had he not protected Cloud and ultimately sacrifice himself so that Cloud could continue to live, the resurrected Sephiroth would have destroyed humanity because Cloud was the only one who could stop him. You will in mind always be the greatest hero of Final Fantasy...Zack.

Oh and as much as Zack Looked up to Angeal. Angeal was half the man Zack was. By the end of Crisis Core, Angeal probably would have looked up to Zack because of how great of a hero he became.

Thats why at the end of crisis core when Genisis and the director are their the director who looks like Angeal fades into the light and before that Genisis laughs how Zack was saying hes got this . In saying how Angeal would be proud

I can imagine a custom scenario for ff7 with this scene. Zack lays Cloud down, hiding him. He notices the thousands of Shinra soldiers, prompting him to shake his head. A text box pops up: [Zack: "Boy oh boy....the price of freedom is steep"] He pulls out the buster sword and holds it up [Zack: Embrace your dreams and whatever happens, protect your honor...] Zack gets into a battle stance [Zack:...as SOLDIER!!!] ZACK runs in, brandishing the sword [Zack: Come and get it!!!!!] (Battle "swoosh"-the main part of the Tune loops as a battle theme) Then would be a seemingly endless group of soldiers vs Zack. I wish I knew programming, with your permission, I'd love to see this realized.

Haha actually, I used the bit right before Zack's Theme in "Fulfilled Desire" BUUUT thats The "Price of Freedom" right after it. ^^ Trust me, I'm the one who arranged it :P

Hey! This is an awesome take on "Price of Freedom" and "Fulfilled Desire" Jakah016. I'm curious, think it's possible if one day you could do your own take on "Successor"? Something like a mix of Under the Apple Tree, but with a more orchestral feel to it. Idk, whatever you can cook up! I think the Successor leitmotif would sound awesome in PS1 style.

@KeybladeWielder12 Zack was in the original Final Fantasy VII During a memory sequence. He has also been in Kingdom Hearts :)

@boxfisho9: He was in there for like 3 or 4 Years. It would be a shame if they all had forgotten him! He was one of only four known 1st class SOLDIERs of Shinra. He is a war hero. Naturally, most people who dont hate Shinra like maniacs should respect him. But yeah, whatever.

@skullkid325 Well, then this the FFVII Ps1 version of Zack's final battle theme. :P Anyways, I'm glad you like it :) This is just his implied theme; there is nothing to say otherwise. (I'm not talking about his KH:BbS theme, though it was written by the same person, Takeharu Ishimoto-san.)

This is the Price of Freedom yes? I thought of it more as Genesis's theme than Zack's, because Genesis was a Prisoner in his own body fighting the degredation, Zack had the most Freedom out of any of the characters, plus in LOVELESS, I believe Genesis describes himself as the Prisoner.

Zack went down like a beast though I mean hell they sent half of the entire Shinra infantry after him and he took down all but three and would've kept going if he didn't get a cheap shot from that bastard that finally got him. Cloud only made it as far as he did believing that he himself was Zack otherwise he would've curled up in a corner and quit pretty much like he did through most of disc two and Advent Children. If it weren't for Zack and Tifa Cloud would be nothing.

Awesome. Do you think you could release a better instrument sample version? So that its more like modern quality? I love this orchestrated version of "The Price of Freedom". It seems like the way it was meant to be. If you could make it less Playstation 1ish and more Playstation 2ish, maybe even better, then you would be quite possibly the coolest person on youtube. I love this song way better than the original. Brings back memories of Crisis Core...
