I’m gonna share a story. In 2016, I saw BvS in theaters, I loved it, thought it was great. And as I thought about it, I got… desillusioned, I mean, the movie was destroyed by the producers and it shows. So I ended up hating it. In 2017, I went on to watch JL, it was... Marvel, but worse. Forgettable. It had no identity, no message, no point. And a few years back, I watched for the first time MoS on Netflix. I hated it. I thought it was boring, the action was too much. Then, DC Fandome happened, I saw the Snyder Cut trailer. I rolled my eyes at it, I mean, it was everything I hated about MoS and BvS. But, when it came out, I still gave it a shot, why not, right ? I watched the first hour, it was good, but not great. I left it at that because I had other things to do, and the day after I picked up where I left off... I watched the whole of it. I didn’t like it... I LOVED IT ! It was everything a JL movie should be, and as the days passed and I thought about it, I started considering it one of the best super hero movies rivaled only by Spider-Verse (I have yet to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm, calm down). So, I rewatched MoS, and I was blown away, it was AMAZING, though a bit too short. And then came BvS, I was... unsure about that one. Suddenly though, I heard about an Ultimate Edition, a 3 hour cut, I heard that it was the original version before WB cut a half hour out. And I though « This is it ! This is what I felt years ago, what the producers did, they cut half an hour. ». So as soon as I could, I gave it a try. I was, once again, blown away. It was amazing. Now ? I’ve had a month to reflect on this. After a lot of thinking, I’ve concluded that it was the best super hero movie saga to ever exist. Better than The Dark Knight Trilogy, better than Raimi’s Spider-Man, than the MCU, all of it. And I started hearing about #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and all the other hashtags. The time when it hit 1.5 million tweets, unbelievable. And, the 11th April, I officially joined the hashtag, by participating in the trending event #MakeTheBatfleckMovie. I couldn’t be happier, this is the most determined fanbase I have ever seen, and now, I’m part of it, and I am so proud of that. This 25th April, it will be the next trending event for #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, if you’re interested, go on Twitter, and become a part of it, a part of something bigger, something worth it. And if you’re like me, if you have doubts about these movies, give them another try, see it from a new point of view, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll see the light. See you all the 25th.
