Love how Zack listened to fans as well! I believe Martian Manhunter was a fan theory that he loved and ACTUALLY tossed it in.. It Enhances his DCEU SOO MUCH! Glad he completed his vision. Would love a BATFLECK movie NOW @HBOMax
So is everyone gonna ignore the fact that how these movies have completely altered batman's character. Batman is not this optimistic, all happy, team-player person, he is the most logical, most strategic, lone fighter and king of brooding. The Batman will never leave the safety of world on "Faith Alfred, Faith". We need the stoic Batman back. Like if u agree guys.
Fun fact. The actress who played the single mother was very disappointed to be entirely cut from the film and had asked twitter the night before the release if somebody could tell her if she was in it. I personally think she did a fantastic job in the role
I love Harry Lennox as MM, but literally he was in this movie as “oh hey - I’ve been hanging out”; he would have been so much more impactful as a feature in Mos2 before BvS
@@thepsion5 cyborg can manipulate digital systems at any level. It wasn't the bank that showed the message. It was cyborg digital manipulation powers, he only did that to ensure the lady believed it was a lottery and accept that money. Because most probably she won't accept donation in hand. Simple logic, Only if u paid attention to the movie.
The cool thing about the Flash saving Iris scene is that Barry slowly rotates and turns her so that she doesn’t whiplash. A cool little attention to detail there.
The stupid thing about the scene is how the car flipped ass over front and flew 40 feet just from hitting a truck at 30mph.. it was distractingly bad. Also, she has the most blank look on her face for someone about to smash into the pavement. stuff like that takes me out of the movie. Also, how strong arw Amazonians exactly? 2 of them can hold up a 20 ton stone door, but the one can't lift the horse off herself. I just want consistency.
@@justtoolit6051 Can you give me a background to how Flash really acts? Just saw a few videos and he seems buff and serious unlike this one. Well for Peter, he is still in high school even in the animated shows he acts childish until it's time to be serious or when he works.
The woman who played the struggling woman had asked on twitter if her part was in the movie since her part wasn’t in the theatrical and was praised for her small part in the movie.
Why the hell did they cut that part out of the theatrical? that scene was super important for Cyborgs character development and just a beautiful moment all together.
@@TheKrazyguy75 Yeah I Guess. Half of this was a FU to WB for letting Joss wreck the theatrical and I fully support Zack Snyder for JL 2&3 and WW3 in which he is rumored to be offered.
@@TheKrazyguy75 well we knew he was in the movie Snyder revealing that Martian Manhunter was originally in his version of the movie was what really got people pushing to get this movie out
Victor helping that woman and her kids almost made me cry and I was caught completely off guard by it because it's the last thing I was expecting from this type of movie.
Bro, he changed that woman's entire life w/barely any thought. It was so easy for him. All her hard work of being a good person paid off. Cyborg gave her the good karma she had coming to her. 🤧 It was beautiful.
Honestly after seen Cyborg in Snyder cut, idk why WB wouldn’t make a solo film of him it would be so visual cool and story could explores his struggles
Cyborg is one of those characters where outside of a team setting he doesn't really have much to offer solo. What supporting cast and villains does Cyborg have to carry a solo movie?
@@tyqwanmills03 teen Titans I guess but ya on his own not much going on, unless it’s a cyborg movie within the Titans, like how he comes to be there and how he fits in but I feel like this cyborg is too powerful to be hanging W kids it’s just not him
If Black Panther, Aquaman, Shazam, Shang Chi, and Black Widow can get solo movies, then there's absolutely no reason why Cyborg couldn't as well. That is, if WB hadn't fired Ray Fisher
I had Martian Manhunter spoiled for me, so I knew he was in the movie, but when Martha's eyes turned red my first thought was "when did she get freaking heat vision!?"
For some stupid reason I thought steppenwolf had got to her, then I quickly remembered why Im not a script writer and could breathe again. Loved this reveal lol
@@SandSlash242 He definitely did spoil it. That's why I was surprised by the reaction in this video. I'm sitting here thinking everybody knew that he would be in the movie.
@@conormurphy4328 Maybe you could see it that way, but regardless it was just refreshing to see. Usually in a scene like that in movies, even if the mother slightly agrees with her child's actions, they still apologise to the principle/dean of the school/university and given their child a speech. This was just cool and maybe even realistic to see.
@@parkeranimations3671 first she corrected him in that she’s a doctor which comes off as pompous as her being a doctor has nothing to do with this situation. And second she’s defending her son by saying he was right to break a school rule and I’m assuming the law to help somebody in extenuating circumstances but ignoring that the school may have taken this into account or that this would be unfair to other students who are also in extenuating circumstances
@@conormurphy4328 I think more of the idea was she was just doing whatever to defend her son as opposed to the stereotypical cliché of a parent loving their child but not showing it directly like she did in this scene. The school is still gonna change back the grades anyway so the her only motive is preventing her son from being suspended/expelled.
It’s actually extremely important that the “Prize” money was framed as a prize. I’m an attorney, and while this isn’t my area of expertise, I believe that (as a litigator specifically), I could make a good case that she is a bona fife, good faith recipient with clean hands, meaning that- pursuant to principles of equity, she shouldn’t have to return the money once spent, because she didn’t do anything wrong. To the contrary, she thought it was just good fortune, and in a court of equity, or where an equitable argument is made, if both she and the bank are innocent, the bank can more easily absorb the (relatively, for them, minimal, albeit for her huge) impact. I remember thinking when I watched this right before watching your reaction that that was actually incredibly well thought out from what actual legal effect it might have. The cases cited of people who saw an extra $100k in the bank and were like YASSS SPEND IT BEFORE ANYONE NOTICES!! *knew* it was a mistake, and probably provably so, therefore making it theft by deception or something similar.
It's also possible cyborg just created the $100k out of nothing and did whatever was needed to make the money legitimate as far as the system is concerned, so no one actually lost anything (aside from the negligible increase in inflation). Pretty much all records are electronic anyway so he could affect all of that.
@@Jasta85 But, even if nobody "lost" anything, she would have to pay taxes. And on those taxes, she would report that income. Failing to report income would undoubtedly get her in criminal trouble, and she had just been evicted and was penniless. If she bought something or even then paid rent, someone would report getting the money, and it would likely attract some kind of attention from the government-likely the IRS and/or state and local revenue agencies. Accordingly, the issue of having money that previously wasn't there would come up. That it wasn't "lost" by anyone, combined with the fact that it was presented as a prize, would, again, only serve to support her claim to the money, even if getting it was a "mistake" that nobody could explain.
The actor playing Darkseid is Ray Porter who does a lot of voice work in games, audiobooks & Animation. The scene of Lois & Martha in the Theatrical Cut was rewritten and reshot terribly by Whedon on an office set. The scene included a woman on the tv talking about aliens probing her husband and Martha calling Lois thirsty.
I love that Barry was being extremely delicate to the woman in the car. Then when he pushed the alien with a slight nudge he just got sent flying. Goes to show how gentle he has to be when in the Speed Force.
So during his first invasion, he was Prince Uxas from Apokolips. At this point he is Darkseid. To answer Eric, last time you had your mind blown THAT much was some of the cameo reveals during Crisis.
I think one of the powerful parts of the Cyborg and the single mother part was what happens after he helps her. After doing something heroic, he smiles with pride, but as he walks away, the couple sees him and revolts in shock of how he looks and then he pulls his hoodie to hide his looks. It further feeds into his character growth about coming to grips with being a hero but still struggling with no longer being human and getting that type of reaction from random civilians.
Eric is the most Livingly expressing his reaction and emotions... The guy at other extreme is just blank about what's going on... Between 20:00-24:00 time stamp he claims all the tunnel fight scene choreography was almost same and identical to JL 17 but longer.. i mean what??. tonnes of footage wasn't used and reshot it ended in within 6 mins... I love eric for his imprompt reactions... Rest of others are just sitting bare face without any context...
The last scene of martian manhunter with that music got me in tears.. so beautiful.. and flash time travel scene. Those scene wouldn't have been so touching without that music
The scene with Lois and Martha is a perfect example of a difference between theatrical cut and the true vision. Many people won't even notice because it's a relatively simple dialogue scene, but the theatrical one was comically bad, along with a kidnapping lady joke- this one truly felt like it was a continuation of what came before
I remember very well because I can never forget the outrage I felt when Lois did a "thirsty joke" in the theatrical cut. So out of character and so out of touch. I had no good will towards that movie after that. This dialogue in the Snyder Cut was perfect and didn't need to be remade.
I paused for a good 15 minutes and basically wept after Cyborg's scenes, it all hit me just how crazy the whole journey to get this film released has been. Seeing Ray Fisher finally shine is so cathartic.
Announcement: The flash was just redirecting her fall, He can't carry people since he doesn't know how to shield them with speed force, if did otherwise, people would just disintegrate moving that fast,
I knew about the Martian Manhunter thing from when Zack revealed the storyboards for that scene a couple years ago..... so I was expecting it, but it was still awesome to see.
@@levsco_ it seems like barry they’ve encountered eachother before but they’re not a thing yet particularly. the way she was looking at him seemed like it wasn’t the first time she’s seems him
Me: They have spoken of the intellectual Sacred Texts that speak of the tale of a man who was hailed as the salvation of man for over a thousand years with the use of man made techniques that rivaled the scholars of god
seeing Martian Manhunter in this gave me quite a thrill and made me realize that he's one of my all-time favorite DC characters; thank you Eric for having such a great reaction to his reveal
I know exactly how Eric felt in that moment. As many times as I've seen Man of Steel, not once did it ever cross my mind, or probably anybody else's, to think that the general was Martian Manhunter. Zack Snyder is a f-ing genius.
In a legit heartwarming moment, the actress who played the single mother waiter who gets helped by cyborg in here was asking people online whether she is in this since the whedon one removed her.... Seriously tho, for all the talks of "jokes levity and optimism" BS WB was saying, how did they replace that heartwarming moment with brunch and "SoMeThInG Is DeFiNiTeLy BlEeDiNg"🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
I love that he mentioned the choereography of Diana v Steppenwolf. Steppenwolf was much more like... dare I say it... a midboss villain of a video game in the theatrical cut. But if you see how he fought here, he swings his axe with much more ferocity and aggression.
If eric changes his shirt again he's gonna be pissed when deathstroke shows up. Edit: welp I was right but atleast the third time he went with a superman shirt
Cyborg had so much more story it was great and loved when he helped the mother/child. Ray Fisher got to shine. Blood in water effects great glad this was R rated. Martian Manhunter reveal was shocking!
@@dvader518 Nope. It was a Justice League origin in my grandfather's time as a child. Created in the 50's as a time travelling team operating secretly, featuring the 7, except for Superman, whom was the only hero on the team that was publicly known. The Starro battle is the team going public a decade later for the first time.
18:04 best reaction to the MM reveal, I didn't know if any of you knew about him before this. I'm glad the Aquaman movie changed the whole oxygen bubble idea, definitely wasn't a fan of the 'dolphin speak" the Atlanteans do in this
The martian manhunter reveal was what i was looking for i told my cousin before I watched “man i hope martian manhunter shows up” and i was like “THOSE MAD LADS THEY DONE DID IT THERE HE BE” i loved it
Swanwick wasn't meant to be MM "all along". It was a fan theory that has been around since Man of Steel that Snyder decided to make canon. We've actually known about Martian Manhunter's presence in the Snyder cut for a while. Snyder showed off story boards on vero over a year ago. The scene was never filmed in the original version and was reinstated in reshoots for the HBO max release.
I don’t know if anyone else thought of it the same way, but Gordon’s introduction kind of reminded me of when we meet Paul Winfield’s character in the first Terminator. Also I just love the vocals that play whenever Wonder Woman or any of the Amazons are on screen!
I love that Alfred said " it was master waynes idea" about the gauntlets to try to talk him up to Diana. lmaooooooo. I think alot of people missed that.
Ray Porter is the actor voicing Darkseid here. He is a theater actor who also does audiobooks and some voice acting. He is so awesome ans badass in this.
The car Batman used is the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo. It debuted in 2013 and before that, it was a concept car. It has a fully fleshed-out interior with a beautiful modern design. Only 5 of these exist in the world. Two copies for Europe and the Middle East, one for the United States.
Eric’s reaction on Martin Manhunter, if u watch Man of Steel…when General was interrogating superman and Lois Lane was interviewing him, notice one thing. When Superman gets up breaks his cuffs, walks toward the window, everyone backs off due to being afraid but General doesn’t becuz he wasn’t scared of him. This was planned from the beginning by Zack Snyder
