Here's a drone footage of one of my favorite cities in Europe - Zagreb, Croatia.
Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and a city with a rich history and culture. It is known for its beautiful architecture, fascinating museums, lush parks, and vibrant food and music scenes. Zagreb's Upper Town, also known as Gornji Grad, is a captivating district filled with historic charm. It features cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and notable landmarks, such as the St. Mark's Church with its colorful tiled roof depicting the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, and Slavonia.
Zagreb is home to the unique Museum of Broken Relationships. This museum showcases personal items and stories donated by individuals from around the world, symbolizing the end of past relationships. It offers a thought-provoking and emotionally engaging experience.
The Grič Tunnel, located beneath the streets of Zagreb's Upper Town, is a hidden gem with a fascinating history. Originally built as a World War II air-raid shelter, it is now an underground gallery and event space, adding a unique element to the city's cultural scene.
Zagreb is known for its abundance of green spaces and parks. The city boasts numerous parks and gardens, such as the lush and expansive Maksimir Park, providing residents and visitors with tranquil retreats and opportunities for outdoor activities.
For panoramic views of the city, visitors can head to the Zagreb 360° Observation Deck. Located on the 16th floor of a skyscraper, this observation deck offers breathtaking views of Zagreb's skyline, including its historic landmarks and vibrant cityscape.
Zagreb is home to the majestic Zagreb Cathedral, also known as St. Stephen's Cathedral. This iconic landmark features stunning Neo-Gothic architecture and intricate details, making it a must-visit site for history and architecture enthusiasts.
