Here's day 2 of our Zagreb travel vlog! This is actually a trip around half of Europe, but Zagreb in Croatia was our first stop.
All I can say is that to me this city seems very underrated and I truly love it a lot! It's calm, relaxing, the people were friendly, the food was very good. Everything was within walking distance and the prices were GREAT!
Zagreb is known for its abundance of green spaces and parks. In fact, it has been awarded the title of "Green City of Europe" multiple times. Parks like Maksimir Park and Zrinjevac offer residents and visitors a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city, providing opportunities for relaxation and outdoor activities.
Zagreb is also a hub of cultural activity, offering a vibrant arts and entertainment scene. The city hosts numerous festivals throughout the year, showcasing music, film, theater, and visual arts. From the International Animation Festival to the Zagreb Film Festival, there is always something exciting happening for art and culture enthusiasts.
St. Mark's Church, located in the heart of Zagreb's Upper Town, is famous for its unique and stunningly colorful tiled roof. The roof displays the coats of arms of Zagreb, Croatia, and the historical regions of Croatia. It's a striking sight that represents the city's rich historical and cultural heritage.
A traditional symbol of Zagreb's culture and craftsmanship is the Licitar heart. These heart-shaped gingerbread cookies are elaborately decorated with colorful icing and are often given as tokens of love or as souvenirs. They are a beloved symbol of the city's rich heritage and can be found in shops throughout Zagreb.
I fully recommend you to give it a chance and visit Zagreb in your trip to Croatia.
In the next video, our third day in Croatia, I made another travel vlog about Plitvice Lakes, one of the most beautiful places in Europe, you can see it here:
• Plitvice Lakes, Croati...
Also make sure you don't miss the Zagreb travel vlog from the first day:

If you're not sure what to do in Croatia, with these three videos you'll for sure fill at least 3 or 4 days easily. I have showed a lot of things to do in Zagreb or in general in Croatia to help you have a perfect trip.
