The Zamaberlan Mount Trek was made to more easily transition from climbing to hiking with a hike-friendly midsole. The technical DNA of the boot allows for climbing technical routes with or without gear. Designed for high-level mountaineering and glacial routes as well as high-altitude big game hunting.
UPPER
Perwanger® Leather is naturally ‘hydrophobic’ or water-repellent. During the tanning process they use special molecules that coat the microfibres in the hide which means no protective coating is needed to be applied to the surface. This leather mimics the properties of a natural membrane. The special tanning process prevents water from penetrating the leather while also allowing it to breathe. The leather is particularly hard-wearing and scratch-resistant, even over rough and rocky terrain.
GORE-TEX PERFORMANCE COMFORT LINING
Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membranes provide guaranteed waterproof protection and breathability but are not insulated for maximum range and versatility while hiking.
FIBREGLASS INSOLE
The 5mm Fibreglass insole grants precise performance and support for edging, toe-in and other technical maneuvers, but is more forgiving for hiking.
MIDSOLE
Double Density Wedge + Zamberlan® SEMI PCS EVO
The integrated Zamberlan semi-PCS (professional crampon system) has capability for those times when a crampon is needed, but not overly robust for when they are not required.
OUTSOLE
Vibram® Mulaz Evo for more grip, more comfort and greater durability.
Big grooves reduce debris build up and have a self-cleaning action, while large, multidirectional lugs are specifically positioned to provide long wearing traction and stability. An engraved shank provides better grip on uneven ground and undercut heel for secure braking.
RUBBER RAND
Around the lower section of the upper provides better protection and makes the product more durable.
ROLLER LACE HARDWARE
Corrosion resistant and allows for easier lacing and less wear on laces, while the lace locking system is a brilliant and simple solution to creating customised lace-fitting between the top and bottom zones
ZTECH LAST
Features a reduced volume in the instep area, higher volume in the foot flex point, downturned shape with medium asymmetry, and a pronounced heel to ankle line for a more technical fit
