If they can’t reopen TT2 for the Fourth of July weekend or later then it looks very very bad for Zamperla and CP !!

If Zamperla cant fix it before the season is over then I don't think that they will because with the season passes they are advertising that you can ride it all season long.

These videos you guys are putting out are great. Well written and informed and love how you provide an opinion on the matter. Many outlets say “we are not affiliated with the park” yet they still don’t give an opinion. Anyway. The relationship is tarnished either way. Maybe not to the point of not working with them, but everyday that shine gets less and less. Clock is ticking.

I don't think the relationship is hurt quite yet. There's a difference between going with a company that has a portfolio that shows that they can handle a project without a doubt and taking a risk with a company that shows ambition, but doesn't have the portfolio yet. They need that first project to build their portfolio and when you agree to be the first for that level of project for their portfolio, you also sign up for the risks associated with it as well. I'm not saying that there is anything sketchy about it, but Cedar Fair knew about the risks and accepted what they may go through when they decided on Zamperla. The main thing that would hurt the relationship is Zamperla's response on the matter which they have been very active in doing what they can to fix the issue as it also shows them what they need to improve with future installations of the lightning model.

I think it looks bad for both parties if TT2 is not open very soon because Tony Clark said this isn't going to be a summer long closure & that would mean they likely found something else wrong or the changes made were still not adequate. Tony would have gotten bad Intel from Zamperla if it's closed much longer.

@@Holy_Athletics nope. I booked a trip for last week of July thinking sure this is a new coaster is will have its issues, but by LAST WEEK OF JULY it should be running. The fact that that's not looking good is insane to me. If the park would just say listen it's closed for the season....fine we get it. Closed until August?? We get it. It's the silence /dragging ppl through the mud in hopes they don't cancel trips that have shown me how greedy this park is. I'm done after this trip. I tried to cancel bc I was just over it, but I had so much $$ sunk into it I woulda lost money to cancel. Thorpe handed Hyperia with such class. This is trash.

It really depends. I've heard soooo many times now that they don't expect to have it open before August at the earliest. I don't know how true that is given everything is speculation....but with the amount of test runs needed to be complete before it can be approved by the state, they really don't seem to be in a massive rush. Ppl keep saying July 4th but that's SOON. I'd have to say if this thing is down most of the summer Zamperla and CF will be done. But maybe they will pleasantly surprise us and open it sooner. I really don't know, holding out for the park to say something. I was SO excited for this coaster and that excitement is just gone. I'm really glad you guys are able to stay positive about it bc I can at least keep up with TT2 somehow...but I had to pull back from everything else TT2 related bc of how negative the discourse has gotten. I've never had excitement get sucked out of a coaster I haven't even ridden before by ppl constantly losing their minds/bitching over every. Little. Detail.

What matters most is how responsive a ride builder is to problems. Zamperla seems to be checking all boxes when it comes to this. On the other hand a broken Intamin can sit for months waiting on a replacement part.

Booked my Cedar Point trip for the 3rd week of August well before the grand opening of TT2. Figured there might be some hiccups, so I wanted to be on the safe side. It's been 5 years since I visited. The main reason for the visit is to ride TT2. I'm hoping Zamperla can get their act together to get it open in the near future. So many of us have spent thousands of dollars on plane tickets, rental cars, and accommodations just to get the opportunity to ride TT2. It will be a huge letdown if this ride is closed for the rest of the season. If it doesn't reopen this year, I dont see Cedar Fair working with Zamperla ever again.

As far as Zamperla flats go, I think they are completely safe when it comes to Cedar Fair / Six Flags continuing to work with them. As far as their coasters go, Cedar Fair stopped working with RMC for much less in my opinion. One curious note is that RMC bought out Larson and I don't believe I have seen CF or SF purchase any of their flats since then. However, I have never been to a CF park that didn't already have flying scooters and Larson Loops I feel are unappealing especially for large parks with looping coasters. As far as Zamperla goes, this project was enough of a foot in the door for other parks across the world to take a good look at their products and ride proposals. I think they have a bright future regardless of it CF goes back to the good trusty B&Ms.

The merged company is an absolute tossup as to which hatchets from which side of the fence they burry, and give burnt manufacturers another chance. The ones I'd buy stock in, are those that have pissed of neither SF nor CF.

If the ride is reliable once it finally opens, I think they’ll work together again, but only once Zamperla has proven themselves with projects for other companies. Whatever manufacturer they choose for their next project, I think they’ll play it safe. This is an enormous project using untested train technology. Once the kinks are worked out on the trains, whatever they potentially do with Zamperla will become far less risky. Any unrelated issues with the ride should prove to be the deal breaker.

If Cedar Fair is smart they will cut their ties with Zamperla. This is a disaster. The longer this is closed, the worse it looks. I wish Cedar Fair would be more like the European parks. Voltron looks incredible. To bad they are going to become Six Flags. Six Flags will bring down Cedar Point. A park that is already going down the drain.

it seams like the coaster division is separate from the flat ride division at Zamperla so they will probably continue to at least buy flat rides from them. I really hope they get the ride fixed soon. I am rooting for Zamperla. did I hear something on the radio today about a camel getting out of it's enclosure at the park?

it depends, because with me knowing the true reason on why CF stopped working with intamin because of customer service on intamin's side being pretty bad, Zamperla however is trying to make parts as fast as they can and intamin took forever with parts such as Millie's lift motor which had issues back in 2018-2019 era

Right its hard to beat customer service that feels like your new coaster opening is THE priority of all parties involved. Zamperla I think gets more chances with CF based off their customer service and the fact that ttd was problems, i’m sure they kind of all expected SOMETHING to pop up just not this fast.

@@GhosterCoasters right now Zamperla is trying to prove their customer support is the best right behind B&M because all three of their rides that are from 2023-2024 in ohio are having their own set of problems as of right now

The early testing of Top Thrill 2 was All for Not!!! C'MON!! December of 2023 when official tests started, and then shutdown indefinitely on May 12, after just 8 days of operation??? This Doesn't Make Any Sense What So Ever!! Even you two thought for sure that it would be Intamin reimaging Top Thrill Dragster, and was Very Surprised when Zamperla was announced to Reimagine the Coaster?? I could see the Train Wreck happening. No pun intended 🤣

Cedar fair always wants taller, faster and longer. They don't buy off the shelf models and should expect these kinds of problems with "prototypes". I'm honestly surprised Zamperla was even considered. I truly question the overall safety of TT2. At least Kings Island will continue their streak and have another reliable b&m with the surf coaster themed after king cobra going in at the vortex plot in 26. 😜

Cedar Fairs ego got them with TT2..Zamperla is full of ex-intiman people from the era the company's rides were less than reliable..think about that for a second..They don't work with Intamin but the same people in a different company they will..How many Boring and Mundane coasters can they build .Had intiman redone this TT2 it would be operational today..Let's hope with the merger RMC and intiman will be relevant in the chain,if they continue as is now with these repeating cloned BM coasters park to park the future is bleek

@@GhosterCoasters I did not know that. I assumed they’d go with the same company that most likely learned from its mistakes the first time. This changes things in my mind and makes me think cedar point is really stupid for switching.
