3:50 If you want to encourage stealth, you don't make fighting boring and unfun. You make it hard. If the combat is challenging stealth becomes much more important, and surviving being caught feels like an accomplishment, not a chore.
@@maeckknox6535 For a big healthbar to add to challenge at all, it has to be an order of magnitude higher than reasonable, to bore the player until their technique deteriorates

The frustrating thing is Mirage is more in line with what the fans want from the franchise: a smaller open world with a shorter story and more emphasis on assassination. But the AI analyst at Ubisoft is probably going to treat this game's failure as gamers preferring the rpg games
What are you talking about? Mirage had a bigger launch in terms of sold units than Valhalla… It‘s a big success according to Ubisoft, so they know people want stealth and parkour
In RDR2 many gang members have alternate outfits for different climates. In lemoyne, Dutch rarely wears his frock coat, and in big valley, Micah can be seen with a double lapelled leather coat. Some games do put alternate outfits in, which I love.
@@Lorenzo-22 If only they wouldn't have abandoned RDR2 so fast after release and actually fix the bugs and other technical issues that are still in the game to this day it would have been better.
That black flag only fist against huge groups of enemies comment reminded me of my favorite mission in Brotherhood where you break out of Caesar’s tower or something like that with the girl and like 500 dudes are outside waiting I used to only use fists and just disarm the spear guys and only use the spears to fight. What an amazing game.
He said that he played some older AC games and that he wasn’t much of a fan of them. He actually said that he liked Valhalla more than the other AC games in his video on it
@@djw3512pretty sure he said that almost every assassins creed game he's gotten for free as "they give them out like candy" i don't recall him ever saying he disliked the older ones, infact on his main channel he has a video about mirage and said positive things about ac blackflag and how the story left him in tears.
Can't tell if 'unfinished' is a real issue or a mainstream trope. Hell I even doubt if half the people who says this type of stuff have even played the game. Neither have I, but still.

If you like highly detailed condensed or small environments I'd recommend the Deus Ex series (the original, Human Revolution and Mankind Divided). I think the modern ones, especially Mankind Divided is what you're gonna like.
You know what I enjoyed my time with it. This is what an AC game should be, stealth not Witcher. I wanted more for the money but I’ll wait for the dlc. I did have to watch a lore video to understand the ending though
Maybe for the next one we get a cross between origins and mirage. I liked everything about mirage except the lame story, bad combat, parkour felt more slow and clunky compared to how freerunning worked in Unity..but minus those 3 points im happy. I like the setting and the music and the stealth is a step in the right direction. No level or crappy rpg elements and most enemies die when they get assassinated. I like that stuff
You know, if Ubisoft brought the melee combat from For Honor and put in the exploration and open world of Black Flag, they’d have the perfect game right there. Maybe throw in some Star Wars stuff like lightsaber combat for fun
Literally everything cool about this game was taken from shadow of war/Mordor and those games have so much more to them. Including very fun combat and stealth mechanics.
Invested in the story of a more-than-decade-old franchise that obviously stopped going anywhere more than 6 games ago. There is no story in Assassin's Creed, its not going anywhere, theres never going to be an ending. Assassin's Creed is like a cartoon without continuity. Like a TV show on its 15th season. It will get cancelled one year and whatever last game was made will be the "ending" of the story. It won't be a satisfying conclusion written with passion, it will be a begrudging abandonment of their cashcow franchise

It was the last good one. You could tell they cared and tried to do something with what they’d messed up Odyssey was fun, but lacked the soul. It had memes and I enjoyed that too Valhalla lacked all of that it was a soulless shell with so many bugs and problems that I never could finish it.
Ubisoft knew this game was just Valhalla DLC and based on how small this game is compared to Valhalla they didn't risk marketing this game at 70$ cause it's been awhile since Valhalla and Ubisoft needed a win so they reduced the price and marketed this game more than their other games.
@quintus920 Right? I understand that not everyone isn't going to enjoy the games like me, but this hurt to watch. Seeing zanny barely pay attention to the game was irritating. Why finish the game if you aren't going to pay attention to the story? Sure it's not the best story, but it was still well written enough for the ending to surprise me even if it wasn't anything new.

You said it yourself, it's not the best story and it isn't anything new, so if that is indeed the case, then I can understand Zanny for not putting attention to it and only finding something worth putting attention to in the game, like the gameplay for example... which isn't even anything new as well.
@Endersoul-tx1of You're 100% right, trying to defend Ubisoft is an uphill battle. I enjoy their games, but it's getting hard to defend them when they've stopped improving the quality of their games a long time ago. I just want them to do better.

I enjoy school games now like I enjoy ahs. I know it’s probably gonna be shit but I might have some fun with it for a bit. Damm shame what it could have been.
